Where in the bible it says Jesus raised Himself if that is so then the bible is not true

John 10:18 does say he raised Himself
What do you think Jesus meant when he said he has the power/authority to lay down his life and to take it up again?

The Son did not raise Himself

Who had the Son spirit when he died ?
John 2:19-22 (HCSB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Jesus answered, “Destroy this sanctuary, and I will raise it up in three days.”
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Therefore the Jews said, “This sanctuary took 46 years to build, and will You raise it up in three days?”
[SUP]21 [/SUP] But He was speaking about the sanctuary of His body.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. And they believed the Scripture and the statement Jesus had made.

The disciples BELIEVED what Jesus said; why don't you?

you have not been reading my posts....take some time to read them...I read most of yours if we are on the same thread

I am not looking for a detailed explanation of why you believe what you believe.

I would like you to answer the question with a simple YES or NO for a change:

Do you believe that GOD or at least part of God became the flesh that we know as Jesus Christ?

is man a trinity or not ? Why or Why not?

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (HCSB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely.
And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless
for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

there is no mention of trinity in scripture that I know of...
><>t<><

What kind of logic are trying to imply?

><>t<><

There is no such word as Computer in the BIBLE, but they exist.

There is no such word as BIBLE in the Scriptures, but they exist.

There is no such word as Narthex in the Bible, but they exist.

There is no such word as Eucharist in the Bible, but it exists.

There is no such word as Crucifix in the Bible, but they exist.

There is no such word as Baptistery in the Bible, but they exist.

There is no such word as Acolyte in the Bible, but they exist.

There is no such word as Shrimp in the Bible, but I certainly enjoyed them for Supper.

There is no such word as Rapture in the Bible, but it will happen.

MAN WAS CREATED TO NAME THINGS, APART FROM GOD'S INPUT, AND WE CONTINUE TO DO SO.

THE LACK OF A WORD IN THE BIBLE DOES NOT MEAN, IT DOES NOT EXIST.

Who had the Son spirit when he died ?
John 10:17-18King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

IT DOES SPEAK OF A HOLY TRINITY, it just IS not called by that term in print, because SOMEONE NAMED WHAT THE SCRIPTURES WERE DESCRIBING long after the Bible was finished. The SAME it ABSOLUTELY TRUE about the RAPTURE.
MANY Christian terms we use today were NAMED after Christians had printed Bibles in their hands. THEY ARE STILL ABSOLUTELY IN EXISTENCE, the lack of that title in Paul's day, by no means outlaws the use of that title. Technically with that same kind of silly logic, we were wrong to ever translate the Bible at all.

Your line of Reasoning lacks a great deal of common sense, and terminology differences is certainly one of the dumbest arguments two Christians can get into. Do you know I actually went through two Church splits caused by people arguing over Elder Rule and Congregational Rule, when I can find examples of both in Scripture, and yet, NEITHER TITLE is used in the Scriptures. I even heard of a Church splitting over whether the Lord's prayer should be said "forgive us our trespasses" or "forgive us our debts". What an incredibly dumb reason to cause a Church to split.

NOW the BIBLE, never gave a name to what became our Baptistry's. If you wanted to call it a Christian Mikveh, why should that bother me. EVEN the word Mikveh is not in the Bible, YET the Jews have been using them for thousands of years.

YOUR IL-LOGIC, would say we should NEVER use one, because it is not named in the BIBLE, even though that is the most likely place the 3000 were baptized on the day of Pentecost. I know, it is convenient to just go to a Stream in Trinidad, but try to make that IDEA fly in Alaska, in the middle of winter. AND EVEN IN THE SUMMER, that water melting off the Glaciers, is LITERALLY ice cold.

That is why I have to chuckle when a person from the Church of Christ tells me it is WRONG to play a piano or any other musical instrument in CHURCH, because they are never mentioned in the New Testament. Wouldn't it be wiser to discuss what IS in the BIBLE, instead of what ISN'T in the BIBLE?
