Thanks it wasn't easy.

it was also hard because the day i decided to give it up my sister got the movie for her birthday so when i noticed they were watching it i had to leave the house for 2 hours.

It was hard and something inside was saying stay and watch but i refused to do it.

well you may not like my answer, I do not believe its anything Godly even with scriptures it is a fantasy, Is it wrong for you to read it well ,The Lord convicts us and disciplines those who are his, if you feel wrong about reading it then don't ,it is only make believe ,is most books are,I have read hundreds of books , I taught my self how to read at 23 so , you have to make your own judgment . What do you think you should do??

hey guys i have been thinking a lot and thank you for supporting me :)

I gave up reading twilight. I actually finished reading the first book and got half way through the second book and decided if i didn't stop now i probbaly wouldn't
So I got ride of it.

It wasn't helping me with my walk with God at all so it is best not to be done.
amen :D
:) im glad that from the sound of your talking, you felt relieved to have done it :D
it appears that you have been convicted by the Holy Spirit :)

The sad part is, where is the church (in general) when our teens really need them? There are several answers to this question, all of them none too flattering.

It's as if satan has gone above and beyond in an effort to destroy this generation, more than any other before it. Yet, for the most part, the church is too busy struggling with an identity crisis of it's own. Too preoccupied in trying to define God rather than submitting ourselves to the Holy Spirit thus allowing Him to define who we and what we are.

My husband and I didnt get past the first five minutes of the movie.....I think you have to do whatever you can to protect your relationship with God, and if that means steering clear of certain movies, books, etc then go for it. The world is sneaky, and makes things that are bad look like things that are good....be very careful of that whole "angel of light" thing...and above all else put God first. Maybe ask God what He thinks of you reading it....consult Him in everything you do and He wont ever steer you wrong :D

lol people know what is right and what is wrong... after eve ate the fruit, her eyes were open, we were left with a choice :D so yeah it doesn't matter if people read it or not :D but as for the one who started the thread, the decision she made would never go wrong :D

It's funny, because you couldn't be more wrong...

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
Psalms 101:3 (KJV)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thess 5:22 (KJV)

I would like to see the scripture to support your claim. These are pretty clear.
