they will say they were never saved, to begin with. it is a prideful argument and both osas and armenians won't give. it is an argument only with those who claim to be saved already.
Yep.

Working to keep yourself from losing salvation is salvation by grace

ok Got it

so you deny you said that we MUST be obedient to be saved and in your own words KEEP IT?

Even though we see in your own words you said it?

This is not about OSAS my friend. This is about what you stated.

Do you deny the words you said?
Thank you for your question. I don't take back any of what I stated, but you can certainly distort it all you like. That's on you.

Once we are saved, scripture is clear we must be observant to all that Jesus commands, Matthew 28:20, we must abide in the Lord Jesus for Him to abide in us, John 15:4-11, because if we depart from the faith we risk Divine judgment. Once we are saved, we must continue to "work out [our] own salvation with fear and trembling." Philippians 2:12. “ Otherwise, you can and eventually will "fall from grace" Galatians 5:1-4, "be led away with error" 2 Peter 3:17, "err from the truth" James 5:19-20, "perish" 1 Corinthians 8:11, "fall into condemnation " James 5:12, " be a castaway" 1 Corinthians 9:27, and "become accursed" 2 Peter 2:14.

We who are saved are in a spritual battle every day, which is why we are told to put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-20.

Answer this: When professing Christians fall away and renounce their faith in Christ, are you suggesting they are still saved?

So you do teach we are saved by works thank you

I do not believe a Christian can fall away and renounce their faith. John calls these people Antichrist. Because in renouncing their faith they deny Christ

John said they were never if us

I Am saddened you think God will give a person eternal life knowing in the end they will deny Christ. That’s sad

God will gift you eternal life, and all you must do is say yes to receive it,, and as long as you hold onto it, and hold onto it you must, you will enjoy that gift eternally. Like all gifts, you can reject it and you can leave it.

What is truly sad is so-called "Christians" claiming this easy-peasy once saved always saved doctrine, without recognizing the truth of God's word that once saved, once you have said yes and accepted God's gift, while no one can snatch you away from God or that gift, you can walk away as many people do. I f you say you are Jesus’s, then you are in for the fight of your life against the devil who is tempting you every day to leave Christ and return to darkness from whence you came. If you are not feeling resistance from the devil, then you are running in the same direction as the devil.

Then its not ETERNAL LIFE. its CONDITIONAL LIFE

learn the difference between the two words.

And its not by GRACE, its by WORKS (you have to do something to hold on to it)

Yeah, Its so easy, so very few are doing it.

It is more than just accepting as gift. Its becoming poor in spirit. its truly repenting. Its true faith.

What is amazing is you have as little faith as the people your judging, as your is in your own works. Yet want to condemn TRUE believers who gave their eternity to God. and was BORN OF GOD. and live their life with the confidence that he who began a good work will complete it.

Your mocking licentiousness. Get off the OSAS trip. 1 because you prove you have no grasp on what OSAS truly is, and 2, Because it has youi blind to the real issue which is your pride and refusl to truly repent and Come to God apart from your works. .

have been kinda keeping up with this miasma of ...er....interesting concepts, bait and switch and "I did not say that even though I did"

for the record, I am actually not an avowed OSASer....I used to be a die hard you can loose your salvation kind of person, but have lost my 'death' grip on that one (forgive the play on words) and am now undecided. but I tell you what....check out these verses:

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. John 10: 27-29

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38-39

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time[h] and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1

and there are others of course. I am quite familiar with Hebrews. here is one from Hebrews:

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

frankly, I see some twisting from both sides...but you do seem to have the upper hand on that one ;)

be careful not to twist what I said. I am pretty dogged about undoing twisting

well there is the actual discussion. just forget the rest. examining the verses I just posted, find a gang more that correspond, and what do we actually have?

do we really understand the warnings as well as we think we do? or, perhaps, are we missing some info? (found in scripture I am sure because salvation is not a mystery in our time)

instead of lobbing bricks at each other, maybe pretend we do not know everything after all, and revisit scripture

just a thought

Yes thank God that we have the gift of eternal and all we have to do is say yes.

But one has to ask on what basis has this gift been given?

Then one has to ask on what basis will this gift be rescinded if we don't hold on to it.

Is eternal life based on faith?
What is this faith?

How does this relate to what Jesus said "All you have given me I will not lose any of them?

If that is true then has not God renaged on the promise that Jesus said?

No doubt some will come to faith and never depart. However, many will and do depart and return to the darkside and give up the gift; Christian pastors do it, Christian musicians do it, run-of-the-mill Christians like yourself do it all the time, for "wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby." Matthew 7:13

No one can snatch you from the Lord, but you can walk away on your own steam.
So Jesus lied?
Because he said all God has given him he will not lose.
Therefore one has to ask they were not given in the first place?
If they were then they would not walk away

Yet many do walk away. Entire assemblies, apparently.

Answer the question I asked you
Do you believe someone can live an entire lifetime rejecting God, rejecting the gospel message, rejecting the gift of salvation, but on their deathbed come to faith and be saved in the moments before they die?
