For some years now, I have been hearing messages on kingdom prosperity. I have heard and have been practicing what I hear, with humongous results to show. But recently, as I was reading the book of the prophet Joel, God gave me a very striking revelation concerning his prosperity agenda for his Church.

As I read that very book of Joel chapter 2, God revealed to me in an unusual way, that outrageous prosperity, is one of the signs of the end time- before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From that scripture, it can be seen that amidst the outpouring of the Spirit of God, is also the outpouring of abundant material wealth: as can be seen from verses 23-26 of that Joel Chapter 2. It says…

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

And to enjoy this bountifulness of God’s supply, of course you have to play your part. By giving, by paying all your tithes and offering regularly. And ultimately, serving the Lord committedly and whole-heartedly…

Failure to do all these, you may never part-take of these end time blessings that God have destined for his Church. Why so? Because God operates on covenant terms.

In Exodus 23:25, the word of God says, you shall serve, and he will bless. So if you do not play your own part by serving, God will not be committed to playing his part as well. But on the other hand, after playing your part initially, and God blesses you…

How Then Does God Want Us to Spend The Blessings?

Does God want us to spend our financial or material blessings only on our selfish desires? Is it for self-aggrandizement? Is it only for our family members? Is it for accumulation and material extravagance? The answer to all of that is, no. And these are the areas so many Christian believers are missing it.

The blessings God gives you, is a responsibility to you. You’re to spend it according to his will. And finally, on the last day, you will give account of it. The ignorance of this very fact have become the bane of so many believers today. And if they are not careful, many of them are not able to sustain the blessings; and worse still, it may even land many of them in Hell.

God blesses us to abound unto every good work. According to 2 Corinthians 9: 8-9, which says;
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth forever.”

So God’s end time prosperity agenda is not for accumulation or self-aggrandizement. But rather, for us to abound unto every good works. Good works like: Investing into Evangelism, Church building and expansion; Giving to the less privileged- both in Church and outside the Church. Giving to charity.

In short, the good works are innumerable. Nevertheless, we must also give to ourselves and families, but we should give more outside, than on ourselves…

Why These Frivolities?

What’s the point as a believer, in having fleets of cars, when there are allots of people to be reached out to. One car is enough; or may be two, in case you have a large family. If you want a new brand, or just want a change, sell the one you have, and add money to it and get the new brand.

The remaining abundance you have, use it for the good works the scriptures talk about. So that your treasures can be in heaven as Jesus said. And your eyes also can be focused on heaven; and how you can make it there on the last day…

Because our Lord Jesus says in the book of Matthew 6: 19-21; “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through or steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Now for you to part-take in this end-time divine wealth, you must first of all, give your heart to the Lord Jesus. Because according the scripture in 2 Corinthians 8:5, the Macedonian Church which the Apostle Paul is using for our example, first gave their selves to the Lord. So if you want to be a part-taker of this end-time humongous, prosperity of the Church…

You Must Be Born Again

If you want to accept The Lord Jesus as your Lord and personal savior or to rededicate yourself to God, place your right hand on your chest and say out this prayer…

Lord Jesus, today, I repent of my sins. I accept you into my heart as my Lord and personal savior. Wash me with your precious blood, you shared for me on the cross of Calvary. And write my name in the Lamb’s book of life. Thank you father for saving me in Jesus Name. Amen!

If you said that prayer, I pray for you right now from my heart, that you receive the power of God to get wealth in the Jesus Name! I pray also that you receive the grace to abound unto every good works with your wealth in Jesus Name! Your wealth will not lead you to hell, but rather to heaven in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!

Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Hey Emekrus, tell me, what kind of material wealth and prosperity did the apostles have?

Emekrus,
Brace yourself. Most people here have been taught and conditioned to automatically react very negatively in vehement opposition to certain words, terms, and concepts. You have already violated those "sacred" boundaries by daring to broach a subject most have been taught to believe is from Satan, and you used several of the "forbidden" words in doing so..

Just a friendly warning to "hang on".... they just haven't all found you yet. LOL

Nah, God didn't reveal that to you. Much of it comes from trusting in whatever message picques your interest at the moment. Apparently that's the Name It and Claim It plus End Time teachings.

You believe you keep having visions, but, if you do, they aren't from God, because what you do with them doesn't bring goodness.

You believe it is your duty to teach others, and yet you have yet to learn what to teach. (I still remember the first thing you thought was good to teach us was how women are supposed to act.)

You are not sober-minded, nor are you're teachings sound. (Like assuming God owes you if you tithe.)

You are twisting God's word to fit what you want. You're still going after prosperity, but now you feel kind of guilty, so redefined it to "outrageous prosperity." There are some really rich people in the Bible, and they're the good guys. There are some really poor people in the Bible too, and they're also the good guys. Prosperity isn't a message at all, other than God takes care of his people's needs, and gives of his spiritual wealth. So, what you really need is a good dose of reality:
Titus 2:1-8
But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Check out the underlined stuff, because that's where your missing the boat entirely. Stop teaching. You're not a teacher. And you're not an evangelist.

Well, folks, I'm not online or anywhere for that matter preaching only what people want to hear. I'm not going around looking for public applause or acceptance. I already have all the acceptance I want and need, and that is the acceptance and witness of the Holy Spirit. I know very well that every message i preach is not for everyone, but for sure, the people for which they are meant for will always get blessed. I know so, because i always pray so, and testimonies are already coming. To me that is success.

If anyone wants to ask genuine questions concerning my teachings, I'm disposed to answer as I'm led by the Spirit.

The best of all, is that there is no personal attack that can affect me in any way cos I'm under the ecstatic, warm embrace of my sender (Jesus), who always treats me like a 'Daddy's Pet'. Even as I type this message, I'm still basking in his bliss.

My dear, wealth is for us. Be honest, how many of you can honestly deny never to have prayed for money?

It honestly isn't a matter of "preaching what people want to hear", it is more the point of preaching so they WILL hear. Otherwise, you make yourself just another nut on the street corner, wearing a sandwich-board sign saying, "Repent or Burn." (And Jesus never took that route.)

Changed how I thought of responding to your post.

I will reread your comments again. In the mean time, the post seems to suggest that obeying God guarantees a person material wealth. Can you please clarify. Thank you.

So coming to Christ is works based, especially if you want "prosperity?"

Very, very sad distortion of Scripture. Prosperity means to thrive spiritually. Because, in the end, that is what really matters - not mamon.

" For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked." Rev. 3:17

Ecclesiastes 5:19King James Version (KJV)

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

Thought I would throw that verse into the thread. :)

I always look at the Lord's Prayer, the perfect prayer. In the prayer that Christ gave us to pray we say, "Give us this day our daily bread". Basically our essentials for that day to get by. It doesn't say, "Give us this day a million dollars".

At least they had enough to give. Paul did alots of giving you know...
When I see this type of action from the prosperity teachers, then I'll pay heed...

2 Corinthians 11:23-28 (NET)
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.
24 Five times I received from the Jews forty lashes less one.
25 Three times I was beaten with a rod. Once I received a stoning. Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.
26 I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers,
27 in hard work and toil, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, many times without food, in cold and without enough clothing.
28 Apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxious concern for all the churches.

You did read "without food" and "without enough clothing" right?

More musings from King Solomon, or the Preacher about riches - when he was the richest man in the world? Ecclesiastes has to be taken in context. A lot of the book is contemplation, not direct words from God about what life should be. The preacher is often comparing two things, as he does in Ecclesiastes 5.

The context of this verse you have ripped out of the Bible is:

"10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. 11 When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?" Eccl. 5:10-11

Try reading the Bible in context next time, please!

Ecclesiastes 5:19King James Version (KJV)

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

you did read on, no?...

Ecclesiastes 5:20 (NET) For he does not think much about the fleeting days of his life because God keeps him preoccupied with the joy he derives from his activity.
Ecclesiastes 6:1-2 (NET)
1 Here is another misfortune that I have seen on earth, and it weighs heavily on people:
2 God gives a man riches, property, and wealth so that he lacks nothing that his heart desires, yet God does not enable him to enjoy the fruit of his labor – instead, someone else enjoys it! This is fruitless and a grave misfortune.

The two verses are not incompatible. One may be prosperous and wealthy, and yet not have the love of money. The context is not distorted in the least, the verses both make a point and both are edifying. One states that riches and wealth is from God, so enjoy. The other speaks of the love of money and how it doesn't bring true satisfaction that can only come from the source of that wealth. God. So you see, they compliment each other. The importance in having wealth is in knowing who has given it to you. Do not forget the One who has blessed you, praise Him for His providence. :)

Emekrus,
Brace yourself.

LOL
because you're above the fray?

Understanding Divine Prosperity
I certainly don't, because it ain't there, it is simply a twisting and perversion of Scripture!

Have a look at 2Cor 8v9, Acts 3v6, 20v32,33 to correct your wrong thinking!

Well, with this particular fray, "Yes, I am." I understand what he is trying to say, but I also think I understand where he gets off track.
