NOTE: The six days of creation were all bounded by an evening and a morning,
whereas the seventh day is unbounded; indicating that God is still on sabbatical
and apparently has no plans as yet to pick up where He left off.
however 'He is always working' per John 5:17

The work of creation wrapped with the sixth day and God has yet to return
and pick up where He left off (Heb 4:9-10); but that's not to say God has been
idle; for example the Flood plus His many acts of providence; also:

2Cor 5:17 . . If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation

Eph 2:10 . .We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus

Eph 4:24 . .Put on the new self, created to be like God

Col 3:9-10 . . You have put on the new self, which is being renewed in
knowledge in the image of its Creator.

The act of creation spoken of in those passages is totally apart from the acts
of creation depicted in Genesis. The new self-- a.k.a. the new man ---is a
"new" thing, i.e. it isn't meant for this world, viz: it doesn't belong here and
will one day be at home in a new world after this old system of things is
thoroughly obliterated.

This placing of the sun and the moon did not take place untill day 4. So, if there was no sun, or moon, or stars till then could there even have been a 24 hour day?
This is an error in thought process. God Created the Universe on Day one or YOWM ONE.....and YOWM is used for time in general in he bible, not just days. Its used for months, years, days, or any time period, then a description of the time is put forth to describe that period of time. Hebrew had only 4000 words and no vowels, God used numbers and the sane words to describe many things. A YOWM thus is God telling us the first TIME PERIOD then He describes it. It is us who laughably insist it is one earth day.

The first TI E PERIOD (YOWM) lasted 9.2 billion years because we know the Universe started 13.7 billion years ago and earth was formed 4.5 billion years ago. So, God gave us the TIME FRAME, we have to figure the first day up by simple math, but we could only do that once we understood the science of all of these things, naturally the KJV translators described it is a day, but it really just says YOWM.

I will get to when the Fourth Day is not when the earth. moon and sun were created. Lets go in order.

So, the earth was created after the Universe was around 9.2 billion years, and from God's perspective he was spot on, and we for the most part overlook His own words that prove this. WATCH...I will explain it as I go.

Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth(OVERVIEW by God). 2 And the earth was without form, and void(Meaning it was not there yet, but Gid had put forth the COMMAND already); and darkness was upon the face of the deep.(KEY) And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe https://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/

wmap_0 (4).jpg

These Microwaves have painted a picture of the whole universe just like it sees planes coming by using radar, its real stuff !! So, Quantum Fluctuation (God LOL) causes a BEGINING (Big Bang) which brings Inflation, followed by cosmic microwave background where after 375,000 years loose electrons cool enough to combine with protons. The universe becomes transparent to light. The microwave background begins to shine. Then the dark ages/clouds of dark hydrogen gas cool and coalesce.

The first stars appear, then gas clouds collapse, the fusion of Stars begin, the first of which appears at about the 400 million years after the big bang. So, when the bible says Darkness was on the face of the deep, God knew exactly what was happening in the very beginning !! The more we look for the answers, the more that science and the bible will converge, if both sides with differing viewpoints would only take their blinders off.

So, God basically told us he Created the universe and earth in an OVERVEIW, then he says the earth was WITHOUT FORM, void of shape, not there yet in the very beginning, which is the header of the whole bible, IN THE BEGINING. Then in verse 2 we are told specifically by God that there was DARKNESS on the face of the deep, our scientists agree, but have no clue about the bible, LOL. But the WMAP map speaks fir itself. The first 400 million years were DARKNESS, and THEN........THEN the Stars start forming, which is why God says "Let there be light" in verse 3, so Creation..........DARKNESS..........then Light/Stars start forming.

The word YOWM means "TO BE HOT" did you know that? So, YOWM is God creating TIME and our Universe is time, there is no Time where God is from, thus He needs not to have ever been created, thus time was created specifically for us via the Suns and Planets (TO BE hot = YOWM).

NOTICE: in verse 2 God "Moved on the face of the waters" THEN said let there be light. Look just outside our atmosphere, its still dark one we leave our bio dome. God trapped the moisture into our atmosphere fir a reason, light has to be reflected or else its just a beam of light, our atmosphere traps in the moisture which reflects the suns rays, else there would be no crops grown etc. etc. and there would be no illumination on this earth. So, God is giving us all of the answers, IF we will just listen. So, in those few verses God gave us the first 9.2 billion years of creation in a linear mode.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night(The Earth can't even exist without a Sun/Star did you know that? It is not possible). And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters (The Skies and the Earth/Moisture and Oceans). 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

I will skip to day four now.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day(Sun), and the lesser light to rule the night(Moon): he made the stars also(a GIVEN that s just noted seeing as Stars still form today). 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

God DID NOT create the Earth and Sun on the fourth day, he created THE SEASONS on the Fourth Day, but how? By crashing the Earth and Moon into each other, both were about the same size, our earth got most of the mass in this collision and gained a SATELITE (our moon) which gives us our orderly seasons. Without the moon life on earth would be nigh impossible, look on YOUTUBE and type in Earth with no moon, the weather would be violent, we would have no orderly seasons, we would wobble etc. etc. etc. Thus God set THE SEASONS, the Days, the Months and the Years via the moon and earth crashing unto each other.

So, people just do not think this through.

... the Bible is not a science book but a relationship book which shows our relationship to our creator and it’s not supposed to be interpreted literally like some Christians do.
Where is that in Scripture?

Today we know a day is not perfectly 24 hours long; the 24 hour day is a man-made construct and so to rectify this imperfection we need a leap year every 4 years to rectify the inaccuracy.
Welcome to CC...

FYI, the leap year has nothing to do with the length of days, but rather with the length of a lap of the earth around the sun. It isn't 365 years, but (close to) 365 and 1/4 days. Those 1/4 days are handled with the leap day every fourth year.

therefore..

whether we think of God 'resting' in terms of creation or His other works, in either case He is definitely not 'on sabbatical'
He works hitherto; He creates a new thing - if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation

so the 7th Yom of Genesis 3 in perpetuity from that time onward?
hmm. a nice platitude but i question its veracity.
