Nope I have considered who Jesus is and I trust that he’s the one to believe in

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

i don’t ever try to out think what God said and reason why it’s not true of relevant to everlasting life

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a I don’t have any reason to fear Gods word promising everlasting life so I don’t interpret everything away from whats there I am foolish enough to believe in Jesus and trust what he said will save anyone that believes and sent to all creatures in earth to believe and be saved

I don’t pretend that I’m going to figure out how to be saved because I know the savior and what he said and I believe him

so no I don’t play the shell game

There seems to be no way to convince you that you are believing in works for your eternal salvation, Your theory has contradicting scriptures.

These are just my notes:

1) Eternal Salvation of the Spirit
“By grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory” (Eph. 2.8,9).
“Who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace” (2 Tim. 1.9a)
“Not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3.5a). “We believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 15.11a)

2) Saved before men. (Mark 16:16; Heb 7:25; Matt. 6:13)
3) Saved Daily (Phil. 2:12,13; Heb. 7:25; Matt. 6:13)
4) Saved out of Affliction (2 Cor. 1:8-10; Ps. 34:7; Phil 1:19; 2 Tim 4:17-18)
5) Saved in the Body (Phil 3:21; Rom 8:23,24; Rom 13:11)
6) Saved in the Soul (1 Thes. 5:23; Matt. 16:25 (this sacrifice = entering into millennial kingdom); Matt. 25:21,23; Luke 16:11,12 (lose own self today, gain what we really own in future); Mark 8:35 (sacrifice pleasures for God, special joy in future); Luke 17:33; Matt 10:22; Luke 21:19 (endure persecution -> reward); Heb 10:39 (faith in walking/living -> victorious living); I Pet. 1:9 (preserved through trials, etc.); James 1:21 (a goal/change in nature of Believer); 2 Tim 4:18; 2 Pet. 1:10-11; (saved in the soul is how the believer experiences the reality of the Kingdom while still alive on the earth)

Each point would be a study.

The reason we labor over "salvation" is that we have been taught either "one and done" (OSAS) or a precarious "revolving door" salvation (in and out, in and out). Truthfully, we may be saved in one area and not in another. This is not difficult to understand when we consider that we are saved to be matured. Even a natural child thrives in his futile thinking because of the care extended to him by his loving parents. How much more does a spiritual baby of God (born again by the Spirit) thrive because of God's love for him? Growing in maturity is required for salvation but a man begins the journey as an infant of God.

Rev 3: The Spirit's Word to the Churches
The Church in Sardis

3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

The Church in Philadelphia
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

Learnings from the Message to the First Church:

(1) God did not "find their works perfect before God" (vs 2). They are a classic example of what James 2 speaks about. They had a weak faith, but no works. He does not say they are lost. But they are going to experience His chastisement/discipline if they don't correct themselves, and bear much greater fruit. In the earlier chapter, He spoke of those who fell from their First Love.

(2) A few names even in Sardis did not defile their garments, i.e. they did not sin gravely after being justified/regenerated. Thus, they preserved the baptismal garments of grace that God gave when they first believed and were baptized. These He says will walk with Him in white, for they are worthy. Very obviously, this group are set before us for emulation. We should strive to be like them.

(3) God gives the same Promise of being clothed with Him in white, and walking with Him in Paradise, to those who overcome sin like they did. This shows that, by the Power of the Holy Spirit living in us, we can and should overcome sin, whether it is greed, pride, lust, sloth or any other sin. And if we do, we have these rewards in Paradise that He speaks of.

That's it for the first Church. Will get back to the Message to the Second Church, in Philadelphia, subsequently. God Bless.

“For salvation. Faith is required for Salvation. Confession and repentance are related to faith, not good works.”

“What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
‭‭James‬ ‭2:14-18, 21-24, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Wise brother oyster , your offering a Symantec’s argument “ is it chicken or the egg which comes first faith is when you hear Gods word and accept what he’s saying then you know what to do like this

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, ( he told him about the flood and how to build the ark and Noah believed him Noah knew he would be saved now if he did what God said would save him so)
moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Noah was saved by faith , but if Noah had said “ I believe what you are saying I have faith , I don’t need to do it what you saying to be saved lord I’m saved by faith “

what would happen to Noah and his family if he tried to separate what God told him to do that would save him from salvation ?

Consider the examples of faith were given in the only full chapter dedicated to explaining the principle of faith

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

consider the revelation and testimony of Jesus Christ Our Lord

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Consider Jesus warnings in the gospel about bad works and judgement

“The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:41-43‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and good works and judgement

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me… And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. …Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:34-36, 40-43, 45-46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s never any different for anyone Christian’s can have thier sins remitted “ good works are always found when we care about someone as much as we do our own self and they shouldn’t be seen as works truthfully if you love people your actions will tell the true story you’ll do good for them especially those in need

Faith is a seed when You hear Gods word and if it roots it grows into an action , a way

when we start hearing the word because it’s full of faith to those who will let it in

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If anytime someone says “ we really do need to actually obey Jesus and the gospel , someone says “ we’re saved by grace not works we don’t need to do anything “ we’re sort of not really grasping faith in my own opinion

“Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We can’t seperate hearing and believing what Jesus said from faith is my point . And he actually does teach believers to do good because they care about other people and says it’s very important not to just say things but to actually do them

he says there’s a lot we need to stop doing and a lot we need to learn about doing he’s says that and says hear it believe me trust me and you’ll be saved

If we start listening to what the lord says about salvation in the gospel it makes perfect sense
"Faith without works" is simply proof that our faith is not genuine and true. We don't have to fulfill a certain work quota in order to maintain our salvation.

“We don't have to fulfill a certain work quota in order to maintain our salvation.”

i agree completely and have never said different. We only have to hear and believe the gospel to Be saved. We only have to believe what God said will save us to be saved by faith.

“Faith without works" is simply proof that our faith is not genuine and true.”

No it’s just proof it’s not mature yet

“But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s really simple faith isn’t why we don’t need to obey God , it’s the reason we can and do leeen from him and that is why our actions change

It’s a fruit of having a real discipleship of Jesus Christ that’s what the gospel offers you also can become Jesus disciple and learn from the lords gospel and know the truth about God and mankind.

“Christians” literally means “ disciples of Jesus “

what I’m saying is jesus teaches us what to do and what we can’t keep doing , we have to accept it is the point that means we’re going to have to actually do what he’s saying or it shows we’re just not growing up yet it doesn’t mean “ now your lost you didnt check all the boxes “ or you need to have a certain amount of works “ that’s never been something I’ve said

jesus teaches us how to be saved all we have to do is believe in him it’s going to change us and what we do

We need to just get real and come as is to the gospel and believe d let him teach us about being saved and it will never fail

The Lord is not judging us here. He is training us up like a loving father.
Hebrews 12:6
“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

Again, scripture would help.
I can repost the Scriptures that I gave you in that same post again, if you like...
Every born-again man began life as a sinner and did not receive the Holy Spirit until after he invited Jesus into his heart.
Romans 3:10
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

"Faith without works" is simply proof that our faith is not genuine and true.

James 2:26
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how

. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
Mark 4:26‭-‬29‭, ‬33 KJV

Faith has to hear and receive the seeds that grow up or it can't bear fruit over a lifetime the gospel changes us alot

There seems to be no way to convince you that you are believing in works for your eternal salvation, Your theory has contradicting scriptures.

My theory is to believe in Jesus and trust his word that he says gives everlasting life that he spoke and said believe me and live
