Every time I come across one of your posts, like this one, I am amazed at your insights. This time, into your understanding of prejudices that are built into ones subjective understanding over time. There is no way, that an individual, who was raised in a family of church goers, can easily get out from all the baggage that they were originally taught. That is to say, if they had been taught the wrong things in Scripture. If they were taught correctly, those things should become convictions, quickly, after they come to know the Lord.

I have never seen denominations as a good thing. Like them even less, as they move more and more towards a world church. Denominations and there conventions, voting on how they can compromise one truth after another, just so they can get along. Makes me ill.

I thank the Lord everyday, that until I was called out, I had no previous Bible teaching. Like a sponge, just soaked up Scripture as I studied. No baggage to let go of and no preconceived notions of the Truth.

Sorry, to much about me. Take care.
Please, don't apologize. I enjoyed your sharing about yourself. :) God bless you.

I so totally agree with this part of your observations. I have never seen denominations as a good thing. Like them even less, as they move more and more towards a world church. While we may feel ill at the thought of such audacious public apostasy in that area of immoral sin, do you fear for their destiny when those leaders of those Denominations especially, those charged with leading their flock and rightly dividing the words of God, meet him at their judgment?
But Lord, didn't we....?
I never knew you.

Yes I do, It is always a sad thing when we see those charged with leadership perhaps ensnare the flock rather than edify. Hopefully, the Lord lead them out of the mess, and surly He will.

It is also painful, to see Gentile religion doing to God's word what the Pharisee's and Sadducee's did to it during out Lord's earthly ministry. Like Paul said:
Rom 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,
Rom 9:2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.
Rom 9:3 For I could wish that I myself were anathema from Christ for my brethren's sake, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

This has been a thought of mine, as I look upon the Gentiles who are being deceived. Who proudly denounce Scripture or my children who care nothing for the things of God. But we know, that it is in God's hands and take rest and refuge in the fact, that it is not because of something that was not said or done.

Thanks again for the kind words. Take care and God Bless.
