When I used the term Church Fathers I was referring to those who lived in the early centuries of the Church after the Apostles. What Paul said does not mention Two comings, of Christ. In 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 he lists the events that
will take place....

1 A falling away
2 The Man of Sin is revealed
3 The Lord destroys him with the brightness of his coming

According to the Pre tribulation position there are no events to take place before the rapture, which can take place at any time, but Paul mentions them in his letter. If the Mystery was that Christ was coming twice instead of once how come no one else apart from the Thessalonians knew about it for two thousand years and we had to wait for Darby and Scofield to ' see ' it?

Jesus told his disciples in the Parable of the wheat and the tares that he would send his angels to gather the elect from the uttermost part of the earth. The wheat would be gathered into the barn and the Tares would be thrown into the fire. Where does a secret coming fit in here.

The fact is that the Pre Trib idea is not accepted by the majority of Christians and never has been. There is only one second coming. The clue is in the description. According to you my salvation depends on believing in the Pre trib rapture. Excuse my ignorance but I thought I was saved through the shed blood of Christ.
Amen and not to mention that in the parable of the wheat and tares he begins to move against the tares FIRST before the wheat is gathered......which jives with a post tribulation Parousia!

The Bible tells us that Yeshua is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. The key for me is to look at the patterns in the Bible.

Joseph is a type of Christ in Egypt and when he was restored to second in command by Pharaoh he first married the "gentile" bride and then the seven year tribulation began. The pictures keep on repeating itself time and time again. The bride is safe while the remaining people (people out of covenant) suffer... :)

Keep the faith brothers and sisters. All will be revealed in due time :)

my view was excellent! superb even!

I was somewhat let down by the color though, because in my area it never did achieve a red...more like a rusty orange

but the eclispe itself was a marvel! as the moon was covered in earth's shadow, more and more stars appeared, no longer obscured by the brightness of the full moon...even the Milky Way became visible again, so you can imagine how beautiful and rare that appeared with the moon in color with a halo of light around it!

I will always remember it!

The moon was a darker shade of red in South Africa but I didn't see the eclipse or the Super moon because there were huge trees blocking my view :)

oh no! sorry! I was so excited (can you tell?) to see this event...where I live it can cloud up pretty quick (near the sea) and so the clear skies were so welcome! I've missed a few of the regular meteor showers this year because of cloudy skies and so I was happy that for this rare event I was able to have such a great view!

I love the night skies!
