Listen, I have been on both sides of this 'so-called' debate. (Perfection vs. Sinning that Grace abounds)
I've done them both.
The first twenty three years of my life was a continual pendulum of going back and forth, from being perfect to an outright reprobate.
Eventually I was convinced I was a reprobate. Completely shunned from the faith.
I was sure God couldn't use me because I couldn't stop sinning.
So I started to long for a God that would accept me.
It was then that Jesus said to me, - "O.K., you finished with this foolishness?"
"Are you finally finished trying to prove to Me how righteous you are?"
(Then He said)...."See how it didn't work?"
I through tears and trembling lips stammered "yes???"
From that point He has never let me down.......He has never left me or forsaken me.
So I can truly witness to the world, 'he that has been forgiven much loveth much'.
And He has continued to keep His promise to me day by day......changing me from the inside out.
Conforming me into His image.
(I cry just thinking about it)
I think you might be describing the difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the spirit and how our Tender Father communicated this lesson to you.

As long as I'm alive I am in both.
As long as you are alive you are in both.
This is why there is a continual struggle. Romans chapter 7.
Faith is believing God's promises past your frailties.
And this struggle also keeps us humble.

Sounds to me like most peoples Devil is bigger than their God.

For me there is only one thing that works.

First I have to believe His word.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

When you believe his word then you ask in faith

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

I claim the promises because they are true:

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Is all about trusting God. Anything is possible for God. SO If he says by His faithfulness he can make a way out of temptation, then believe it.

This is living faith that works. Then you will not give into that temptation and thus will not sin.

Its not about what you can do. Let's make that clear, we can do nothing (Joh 15:5) Its about what God can do.

Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

I have noticed the perfectionists wail at certain sins.
They caterwaul about certain sins-(which every one knows are wrong...including those that are doing them).
But they(perfectionists), tend to overlook others, .......like spiritual pride and gluttony.
(Because spirit pride is easy to hide, and everyone has to eat, right?.)
So pass me some more of that fried chicken while I expound to you more perfectly how once you
are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, you will stop sinning altogether!!!!:p

Ok like Paul saying that in his flesh dwelleth no good thing....we must trust that since God wants
our obedience He will surely supply the grace needed, huh?

Judgest thou me according to the law?
(In other words, are you going to use God's words to judge me?)
In what have I said that was wrong?
Take care from what spirit you speak.

Abiding knows what the still, small voice sounds like.
I have testimony to his words on this site.
He was asking rhetorically. (as in, prove you're accusations)
(not to you loveme1, to the other guy.)

Sounds to me like some people don't know God well enough not to judge others. - Matt 7:1
What Jesus actually says:

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Being that I simply made an observation rather than a judgment.

notice the word "sounds" in other words I have heard what people are saying and it sounds this way. hardly a judgment.

By the way as seen in the verse you used, Jesus is simply saying that in the way we judge we will be judged. I am ok with that since I did not judge.

So either your understanding of what judging is,is wrong, or maybe my comment hit the nail on the head and I have made you uncomfortable.

Now here is the interesting part, I made my observation of what people seemed to be saying which was not a judgment.

However you saw it as a judgment (which it isn't) and then proceeded to use the same words back at me. being that you see that as judging, you have shown that you deliberately judged me. hmmm. while you did not in fact judge it shows your intent.
