He seems like a postcard for the rapture cult.
- (I'm sure he could quote 15 verses as to why I'm wrong but, I think the rapture is easily dispelled)

People get SO focused and confused with the whole 'rapture' issue...is there going to be or isn't there going to be! lol. The fact is... it has been appointed to man once to die. Many people have died and assumed they would encounter Christ this way..meeting him in the air, being translated...

Is not our commission to:
[h=3]Matthew 28:19-20[/h]
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [SUP]20 [/SUP]and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

To me, this is patient waiting...with hope in expectation of his return knowing that he is with us always, even to the end of the age. Amen.

No scriture say that we would not know the decade or the year or the month or week. Why is it so hard to accept that the Holy Spirit is around us in us , our intimate comforter stirring up in us to know the excitement of the call to go out to meet the Groom. Jesus knows it is soon what if He knows the decade the year the month and week?

That's not entirely true. Jesus quoted that no man nor the Father in heaven knows the day or the hour. So to say Jesus knows it is soon would not be a biblical statement.

Where does it say the Father does not Know? Matthew say Jesus says," the Father Knows Matt 24:36 also the Father and the Son are in perfect harmony and perfectly know each other.

[h=1]The Mystery of Heaven

9/04 From God The Father - A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Question asked by Timothy: Lord, is Jack Van Impe’s idea of Heaven correct?

[Answer from God The Father] All these things I say to you are tried and true, and yours to know through The Holy Spirit. For these things regarding Heaven and its location, spoken of by My servant Van Impe, are true, save these: No one may know Heaven, or where it abounds, until the due time. I shall bring from My Heaven, a new Heaven to earth, for all men... And with them shall I dwell. Those caught up with The Son shall know Heaven and My dwelling place, for I also dwell with men. Heaven is not defined by space and time, nor measure or distance... For it is and is not.Men have not the mind, nor understanding, to know such things, until their transformation from the perishable to the imperishable.

Know this: My Heaven is everlasting...

It has always been and will always be, from now and forever.

Timothy, your family will see and know My dwelling place, for My Son will bring them...

Take much comfort in this.

Perhaps many see the church being taken up as a message of love, a promise of hope and of assurance. To me that is edifying and it does not contradict the heart of my loving Savior who laid his life down that we might be with him forever. You must admit that JVI is a faithful man who loves God and looks forward to being with the Lord on that precious day.

Those who scoff at the Lords return will be caught by surprised and unaware. Expecting and watching for the Lords return is sobering to a believers walk. The Lord always tells us we are His. We aren't of the world. This life is but a vapor. Set our treasures up in Heaven. Regardless of your eschatological beliefs the Lord is returning.I say therefore Watch! :)

He has some pretty interesting things to say concerning Bible Prophesy and the End Times. Do you think it is as close as he thinks it is. I know nobody knows the day nor hour, but we will know the season. What do you think about Jack Van Impe? Imposter or does he know his stuff?
Hes memorized one liners for sure. I think its the funniest show on tv. He never leaves me without a belly laugh. Some 35 yrs ago i bought a tape off him. He said there was a computer in Belgium that was the beast of revelation. Its name was...

Binary
Electronics
Accountings
Sytems
Technology

I kid you not

Jack van impe has memorized the entire new testament, and 3/4 of the old testament! He definately knows what he is talking about!

Memorizing scripture doesn't mean understanding.

The Holy Spirit is who gives us understanding. Have you ever seen this man preach? I have! he holds up a bible and quotes dozens of scriptures from memory on the subject that he is talking about. He never has to open his bible to do his studies. he literally has every scripture of the new testament memorized! Now I dont necessarily believe everything that he teaches, like his stand on the pretrib rapture. But the things I have disagreements with him on are in gray areas.

Jack and Rexella shared a true biblical message about Christianity. I could feel their genuine love for God and for people as he shared many powerful messages. I am tired of listening to FALSE gospel, the feel–good message about Christ which could be so confusing and far from the truth. Jack's ministry may be small in number but they shared pure, clear, true and undiluted gospel - the good news of the Kingdom of God.

The devils do not want us to believe in the truth and eternity. They are deceiving the world and causing chaos in the name of religions. What we need is a relationship with one and the only God, who was born of a virgin Mary, sinless and yet had to die on the Cross so He could pay off our debts. He is the only God and He is LOVE.

Mathew 24:24 For there will be false Christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Romans 16:17 Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.:18 For those who are such don’t serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own Belly: and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.

The false prophets tell you to come to Christ Jesus and you will receive anything you want, like success, business, good life and miracles. Some of these contradict the bible because they are earthly desires and not spiritual (1 John 4 They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them).

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

It is about time we turn away from sins ... let us pray and ask God to open our eyes and hearts for the truth and invite Him to come to our life.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

If this man and his wife preached the truth, then they wouldnt be on TBN, they would be standing alone, with the few remnant bold enough to preach the truth!
and they are not.....TBN shut them down after they refused to bow down to them, TBN told them to stop preaching some things as they were offending a lot of people......they refused and said they would continue to preach Truth, so they were shut down.

Anyone who preaches the Pre-Trib lie is doing Satan's work, whether unwittingly or not. There is no way to sugar coat this!! Satan needs the church to be totally discredited so that the world will believe the Beast/AC when he does his puny little miracles -fire from the sky etc (Rev 13:13). It's bad enough when prominent pastors predict the Rapture and are wrong and get laughed at by the world, but the church has also been out there telling the world that we Christians are all going to be Raptured while you wicked people left behind will suffer unbelievable tribulation. What will the world say to us when the Tribulation starts and we are still here? Worse yet, what will many Christians think of their faith when they find themselves here unprepared?

Answer: Mark 13:12

Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

Satan is the great deceiver. He has infiltrated the church with this lie and far too many Christians have bought it hook, line and sinker. Since the days remaining are short is there anyone who thinks Satan would NOT be out here doing whatever he can to discredit the church and get as many as he can to worship him? The Pre-Trib Rapture theory is a brilliant lie. It takes the truth of the Lord's coming and twists it ever so slightly making it more appealing.

Sound familiar Adam, Eve? Don't underestimate Satan's power and resolve and especially his cunning.

Gen 3:1
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.

We are taught in many places the true timing of the Rapture (Mat 24, Mar 13, John 6:40, etc) and I have written on this subject extensively in other threads. The Rapture is not some super secret event that nobody but the church sees.

Rev 1:7

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Since the whole world will see the Lord come and all tribes recognize him and mourn because they failed to accept him, how can they later be fooled by the Beast and Satan if there is a Pre-Trib Rapture? The Lord's returning and gathering of tens of millions in the clouds will be the single greatest event ever witnessed by man. The Beast would be totally out of luck trying to deceive people if the Rapture comes first. Paul taught us very clearly in 2 Thes 2 that the Lord comes and our gathering to Him will be AFTER the Man of Sin is revealed. No double secret Rapture like Van Impe, Chuck Smith and many others preach. While these "Men of God" have done great things setting up churches and leading multitudes to the Lord and generally teach correct doctrines, they are also teaching a false doctrine that will destroy the church and cause the falling away spoken of by Paul and many souls will be lost.

Rev 20 states:

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

If this is the first resurrection, and this clearly takes place after the Trib but before the millennium, there cannot be an earlier resurrection. Paul teaches us below that the dead in Christ arise first then we are caught up with them. So if the dead are resurrected first then those who are alive and remain are caught up next AND as we saw above, this is the first resurrection, there can NOT be an earlier Rapture of the Church.

1 Thes 4:

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Alive and remain from what? A day at the beach or the worst Tribulation this world has seen? I think the latter makes much more sense.

"caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
The Pre-Trib Rapture lie is to Christian what Evolution is to the unbeliever. It is just as dangerous. Evolution replaces God as Creator of the Universe. Charles Darwin fathered this lie in 1860. But in the 1830s John Darby was credited with coming up with the Pre-Trib Rapture theory. Satan was sure busy in the 1800s. I can go on and on about Darby and his Plymouth Brethern. But that would be a whole new subject.

i suppose it's the easy path to always preach that we are about to be punished instead of "all is well",,,,do any of you remember Robert Fleming?,,,or Robert woods Johnson(aka b.w.Johnson)?,,,,,well maybe a bit before your time,,,,,

i think now days we should "listen for a lifetime",,,instead of for a few years. jack Van Impe has preached the same type sermon since i was a child(search them on the www,,Google images),,,and from the beginning till now the same message,,"day after tomorrow",,,

Robert Fleming i dont remember in person,,,bit before my time late 1600's to 1800 or so....now b.w.Johnson on the other hand i still have copies of his books(commentaries of the new testament vol.1 and vol.2) i have two complete copies of them still in my library in my shed.

he use to come to town and visit,we would all collect up at the meeting house on the third weekend of the month. he would set up a table as soon as he came to town by the livery stable between the blacksmith shop and the hotel. we would all listen to him(the kids) and our parents would take care of things in town. we were first there at an "bounding out",when they were chasing a "granny-dodger" through town.

i dont know how i ended up with two complete copies(they were stuck in the back of the pew's) and we took them home to read them and, well were still reading them, the church isn't there any more so i cant take them back. i know it all sounds ridiculous, like i was born in the cowboy days, confusing i know(I'm still handsome),,,,it's the soap i use,,,,,,,
