i suppose it's the easy path to always preach that we are about to be punished instead of "all is well",,,,do any of you remember Robert Fleming?,,,or Robert woods Johnson(aka b.w.Johnson)?,,,,,well maybe a bit before your time,,,,,
i think now days we should "listen for a lifetime",,,instead of for a few years. jack Van Impe has preached the same type sermon since i was a child(search them on the www,,Google images),,,and from the beginning till now the same message,,"day after tomorrow",,,
Robert Fleming i dont remember in person,,,bit before my time late 1600's to 1800 or so....now b.w.Johnson on the other hand i still have copies of his books(commentaries of the new testament vol.1 and vol.2) i have two complete copies of them still in my library in my shed.
he use to come to town and visit,we would all collect up at the meeting house on the third weekend of the month. he would set up a table as soon as he came to town by the livery stable between the blacksmith shop and the hotel. we would all listen to him(the kids) and our parents would take care of things in town. we were first there at an "bounding out",when they were chasing a "granny-dodger" through town.
i dont know how i ended up with two complete copies(they were stuck in the back of the pew's) and we took them home to read them and, well were still reading them, the church isn't there any more so i cant take them back. i know it all sounds ridiculous, like i was born in the cowboy days, confusing i know(I'm still handsome),,,,it's the soap i use,,,,,,,
