What does "limited atonement" mean?

ya...i just wondered if you could say what you see...not talk about calvinism at all.
just show it as you see it. like a study.
without mixing or contrasting it to calvinism.
cuz i think that's where some of us (me) go haywire.
if there's a totally separate view, that covers all the nuances we are discussing i would love to see it.
maybe you could recommend an author or two to help me understand?

Keep in mind the reformed and calvinists have been very proud
in this forum. x100 ok? in fact they have torched anyone else
with a different view. Even to the point that i can no longer overlook
it.....its like a badge, for some but ill redo things.

i hope so. because He is invisible, and they are uneducated folks who don't know much and live in a world of their own and won't listen. so i pray hard all the time. i hope He woos them....harder....i wish he would force His will on them and override their freewill.
they are both at the end of their lives and there is nothing i am able to do.

We in Christ have been chosen (elected) to be His people (He cut off the Jews from being His people).

It is by his grace.
It is not of our doing.
This is why i have absolute peace, and I'm fine with sovereignty even if the ramifications get the dander up on the "fleshly" parts of my mind that may find offense that God is actually sovereign in his own universe.

Think how much the church is divided over philosophically driven doctrines.
Your right there is alot we dont know....thats why we live by faith.
We are not told to come up with answers where the bibles silent
We are on a need to know basis. And alot of stuff we dont need to know.
Abraham pack up and go over there......maybe ill tell you when you get there.
Kill your son.....do we really think we are supposed to know everything?
Its counter/faith and without faith its impossible to please God...right?
I think heaven will be cool...because i have a hunch the thoughts we have now
