Bluto I do not like your bullying attitudes. but that does not stop me from loving you. I will never hate you. In spite of all our differences, You ARE my brother. That does not mean I'm going to take flack from you. It does not mean I'll lower my standards for you. It does not mean I'll sit and watch you make a fool of yourself either without saying something. Too often you start talking and are so wrong in what you say. I don't want you making a fool of yourself.
Well then why would you accuse me of "hating" other Christians and then have the nerve to say to me that you will never hate me? Secondly, and unlike you I don't consider or assume wof teachers and preachers as Christians based on what they teach. A good example is when you brought up kenneth copeland's prophecy which btw I have the whole prophecy sitting right in front of me and he says the following? "They crucified Me for claiming that I was God. But I didn't claim I was God; I just claimed I wilaked with Hims and He was in Me. Hallelujah."

Those are his exact words so my question to you is did Jesus Christ claim to be God? I want you to also know that in the same prophecy I'll tell you what he said when I used the word "transmigration." First answer my question?

Bluto you were speaking hate. There is nothing in the bible that makes it ok to judge other Christians. There is nothing in the bible that makes it ok to judge a man of God by name, whether or not you agree with him....If you do you are hating, not loving. If I say you are a false teacher I will say it to your face. Not behind your back. Why? I'll give you the respect you deserve as a family member. Its not up to you to judge another's spiritual state, meaning its not up to you to say whether a person is a Christian or not. YOU ARE NOT THE JUDGE.
to my knowledge Jesus did not say outright that He was god...He certainly did demonstrate it though

[h=1]Did Jesus Ever Say He was God?[/h] [h=2]Did Jesus describe himself as deity, claiming powers that belong only to God? See for yourself…[/h] Others were convinced that Jesus was God:
Paul: "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God."[SUP]1[/SUP]
John: "He existed in the beginning with God."[SUP]2[/SUP]
Peter: "you must worship Christ as Lord of your life."[SUP]3[/SUP]
But what did Jesus say about himself?
Did he ever identify himself as God? According to the Bible...absolutely! Below are some of the statements he made.
[h=2]Jesus Said He Was Equal to God.[/h] Jesus Said He Existed Before Abraham
"Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad."
The people said, "You aren't even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!"[SUP]4[/SUP]
Jesus Said to See Him is the Same as Seeing God
Jesus shouted to the crowds, "If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark."[SUP]5[/SUP]
"No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!"
Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied."
Jesus replied, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don't know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?"[SUP]6[/SUP]
Jesus Said He Could Forgive Sins
"...that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--he then said to the paralytic--"Rise, pick up your bed and go home." And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God..."[SUP]7[/SUP]
He said to them, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins."[SUP]8[/SUP]
Jesus Said He Is the Judge and Can Grant Eternal Life
"For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father."[SUP]9[/SUP]
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."[SUP]10[/SUP]
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."[SUP]11[/SUP]
"For it is my Father's will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day."[SUP]12[/SUP]
Jesus Said He Was the Same as God
"The Father and I are one."
Once again the people picked up stones to kill him.
Jesus said, "At my Father's direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?"
They replied, "We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God."

All the televised WOF programs I've investigated teach to sow your seed of faith dollars while the anointing is still strong. Same "special guest prophets" plugging for money too. I can't help but wonder where their fear/reverence of God is ?

Acutally I would be proud to be like the man. He STANDS for what he believes. I don't know what excuses you think I'm making but you are WRONG. I make no excuse for my beliefs.

it is actually E W Kenyon that started the practice of positive confession with the objective of getting what you confessed

Evangelist E.W. Kenyon (1867–1948) is usually given credit as the originator of Word of Faith teaching.
Kenyon's principal disciple was Kenneth Hagin Sr., the recognized "father" of the Word of Faith movement. Hagin (1917–2003) believed that it is God's will that believers would always be in good health, financially successful, and happy.

Hagin's principal disciple was Kenneth Copeland who, with his wife, Gloria, is the unofficial leader of the Word of Faith movement. While Copeland remains the leader of the Word of Faith movement, several newer mass media Word of Faith preachers have eclipsed him in popularity,

SOURCE from WIKI, but it encapsulates the much larger history that can be gained from research
Actually Hagin plagiarized and stole most of Kenyons material, except for name and claim it from Kenyon's family, they sued him and won....Kenyons family and Hagin were bitter enemies...it was Hagin who suggested name it and claim it...If you read any of kenyons books, you will never find any direct link to the "prosperity Gospel"......the prosperity message was orignated by Hagin, who took Kenyon's positive confessions overboard...

Kenyon had issues and some of his theology was new ageism.....his work with orphanages was ahead of its time....and was based on the true application of faith...There are a few books Kenyon wrote that were dead on and Biblical, one is about the position of righteousness given at conversion.

If you read Hagin's books and then look at Kenyon's, you will notice a feww slight differences, bu the prosperity portion of WOF was hagin introduced....Kenyon died a very poor man in 1947....Hagin died a very wealthy man and international ministry and Bible school...His Son runs the Church and ministry now and is nothing but a sad old copy of his Daddy...he has altered his mannerism and looks and laughs, etc to mimmick Daddy....it's disgusting.....

The real couple behind Ken Hagin, Sr, rise to cult status was couple called "Mom and Pop Goodwin" they instructed Hagin, Sr. and he was their student.....Hagin reported he went to hell and met Jesus several times....Hagin also criticized many others in his books, without being direct about it....

I asked Migeddo and I'll ask you...Who are you to judge other Christians....Get the log out of your own eye first.
If you cannot understand the difference between judging the Spirits on things and people, then you are not the spiritually mature saint you claim....

When you started naming names of people I stopped listening to your disobedience, As I said There is no place in the word where its ok to judge people of God. And you have no place saying whether or not they are Christians.

We name names because it puts a face on the evil, we judge the teaching in light of the scriptures and revelation knowledge of the Holy Spirit....now run along and keep confessing for your blessing....

I know you do...But the Bible teaches the opposite. You are not following the Word. You are following the deceiver. Even the false teaching, you are supposed to teach the truth and rebuke those who follow the false teaching. That is the only way you are supposed to do it. Anything else is disobedience. Now run along and learn the Word.

Denalii, I see you are on a different tact to spread discord in this forum.

First, you kept accusing people of not posting Scripture, and then turned around and never posted a single verse yourself. (I'm talking a complete verse - you do love to pull partial verse out of context, occasionally!)

Now, when people talk about an outright heresy - be it Word Faith, Arianism or Docetism I saw in another thread yesterday (not you, Denalii) you say we are judging other Christians.

The thing is, I try to speak the words of the Bible. In context! I know that freaked you out, but I personally don't care who believers an error. As a teacher, I like to show the truth of God's Word. So I do! With the Word. But, you like to attack, create straw men, throw out red herrings, etc etc.

Seriously, this is a thread on the errors of the Word Faith doctrine. If I was a supporter, I would carefully go through the posts against it, and show why the poster is wrong, as shown in the Word.

As someone who is seriously offended by the Word Faith doctrine, my goal, including starting a full thread last year, has been to show why the whole shebang is just totally and absolutely unbiblical.

As for judging people, it was the Word Faith people who judged and condemned me for not being healed, when I first got Rheumatoid Arthritis. This was not on the Internet, but long time friends. They prayed for me, and when I was not healed, they blamed me. But it was their prayers that did not have enough faith. And then, Nydia got breast cancer, and named and claimed healing, wouldn't take medical treatment and died 10 months later. And Oswald, well, he got an enlarged prostate, ended up in the ER, taken there by a friend for emergency surgery and he is alive and healthy at the age of 86. And thinks doctors are ok, now!

God has ministered to me in a million ways since I became sick. And in turn, he called me to the ministry of reconciliation to the hurting and broken. I could not have done this, had I not become sick and gone through deep valleys, where Christ taught me how to be more like him!

"More than that, we rejoice in our suffering, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour;" Isa. 42:1b-3a

Isaiah is a metaphor for the trials of life we all go through. Although right now, where I live, we just had the second highest flood in the history of the community, and now the whole of BC is in flames, or covered in smoke. So, sometimes more than metaphorical!

I've got a good friend going through radiation right now, for breast cancer. Her husband died a few years ago, and she has had other trials. But she loves Jesus. I'm so glad I can encourage her, and so glad I can keep judgmental and condemning Word Faith people, without a Scriptural leg to stand on, away from her.

That's right Denalii, the ones judging are always the Word Faith people, with their lie from the devil.

Now, I know Denalii has me on ignore, I trust someone will "quote with reply" so he can see it. But, if that doesn't happen, that is ok, too! God is in control! My prayer is that perhaps some other person will start to wonder at the lies they have been taught by these TV shysters and this doctrine of demons, the Word Faith heresy!

God bless you Angela!

Me too, I have grown so much in the Lord because of the FM, OA etc. I hate being in pain and being sick. I'm isolated much of the time and can't run with the crowds anymore. But I can run with Jesus anywhere I am.

I also have a deep love for those who are hurting that I probably wouldn't have the same depth of compassion had I never gotten sick.

I think I shared this, but I so identify with you in the way you were treated. I was given a list of 12 things that I needed to do to get my healing. And when I didn't, I was told I didn't have enough faith either. It was all my fault I was sick. Unbelievable!!!

I was somewhat involved in WOF and I'm embarrassed about it now. Nothing like being humbled by the Lord. But because I was a part of it, I want to see others come out from the lies and the deceit of the WOF movement.

There are different groups where some believe one thing and others don't, like the fact that Jesus died and was tortured in hell and had to be born again. But other charismatic groups don't believe that.

I do believe in healing and all of the gifts are for today, just not within the context of the WOF movement. Well I should edit that. I'm not sure of present day apostles.....I just don't know one way or the other, but I lean more towards when the original apostles died out so did that gifting. I'm not positive though. I haven't really done a lot of research on that. But I don't accept NAR as biblical apostles. There's too much error there.

I know you post in the hopes that you will reach someone and that maybe they'll begin to question what they really believe. I think many go to a WOF because of the worship and because there's a lot of love shown. It's also more free without the rigidity of some of the traditional denominations.

But I would like to encourage anyone here that is a part of WOF to read the word of God without the influence of the WOF beliefs. Take some time away from the beliefs and read the bible in context. If you read scriptures within their context, you can't come away with so much of what they believe. When I was in the WOF, we always took a scripture and threaded it with another scripture we liked to prove that, for instance, the laughing phenomena was biblical. When in reality, the scriptures say nothing of it.

DR…. First, you kept accusing people of not posting Scripture, and then turned around and never posted a single verse yourself. (I'm talking a complete verse - you do love to pull partial verse out of context, occasionaly!)

DR… Now, when people talk about an outright heresy - be it Word Faith, Arianism or Docetism I saw in another thread yesterday (not you, Denalii) you say we are judging other Christians.

D…You ARE judging other Christians….You cannot deny it. You even name names of people…I don’t care that you speak ill of a denomination but you name people. That’s where I draw the line…That’s where the Word draws the line. I’ve given several verses on that judging part.

DR… The thing is, I try to speak the words of the Bible. In context! I know that freaked you out, but I personally don't care who believers an error. As a teacher, I like to show the truth of God's Word. So I do! With the Word. But, you like to attack, create straw men, throw out red herrings, etc etc.

D…Well then you should speak the words of the bible..In context and ALL of it. As I said, there is NO PLACE in the bible that says its ok to judge people, which you are doing when you name them. There is NO PLACE in the bible that says its ok to name a preacher as a false teacher. NO PLACE at all. If you do it is disobedience. But what does the Word say?

Romans 16:17-18
(CJB)
17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put snares alongside the teaching in which you have been trained — keep away from them. 18 For men like these are not serving our Lord the Messiah but their own belly; by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the innocent.

Titus 1:11 (CJB)
11 They must be silenced; because they are upsetting entire households by teaching what they have no business teaching, and doing it for the sake of dishonest gain.
Who knows better than God, how to silence them?

Titus 1:13 (CJB)
13 and it’s true! For this reason, you must be severe when you rebuke those who have followed this false teaching, so that they will come to be sound in their trust
Read the Word!! It says When you rebuke those who follow the false teachers.

There is not one single person in this entire site who has the authority to attack anybody accusing them of being a false teacher or a false prophet...Though I see not difference between the two.
Paul names three people, and he was led by the Holy Spirit...When you attack somebody you are not led by the Holy Spirit to do so. You are not so lead.

DR…
Seriously, this is a thread on the errors of the Word Faith doctrine. If I was a supporter, I would carefully go through the posts against it, and show why the poster is wrong, as shown in the Word.

D…Ok I’ve just given you a second group of scriptures Read them carefully.

DR… As someone who is seriously offended by the Word Faith doctrine, my goal, including starting a full thread last year, has been to show why the whole shebang is just totally and absolutely unbiblical.

D…Then why do you use unbiblical methods? The verses above again.

DR… As for judging people, it was the Word Faith people who judged and condemned me for not being healed, when I first got Rheumatoid Arthritis.

D… I’m sorry about your friends. It was not because of a lack of faith DR. Every person is given the measure of faith. All the faith they need for anything. I do not know why your friends got sick and died. Something was missing though. Remember in the bible when the man came to Jesus and asked Him to come heal his little girl. Before they got to the mans home, his servants came to tell him his daughter was dead? Yeah That’s it! Mark 5:35-43 The problem was the house was full of unbelievers…Jesus kicked them out and brought the little girl back. It works that way today. Could that have been the problem? People speaking the problem instead of speaking the Word?

DR… God has ministered to me in a million ways since I became sick. And in turn, he called me to the ministry of reconciliation to the hurting and broken. I could not have done this, had I not become sick and gone through deep valleys, where Christ taught me how to be more like him!

D…Keep it up..Keep growing in Him.

DR…"More than that, we rejoice in our suffering, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

D…This is a good promise… I believe though that it was intended that we be healed and the trouble and suffering spoken of here is referring to persecution type of trouble. though I have no doubt whatsoever God is willing to have it applied to any suffering.

DR… That's right Denalii, the ones judging are always the Word Faith people, with their lie from the devil.

D...I’m glad you think so. But it was not WOF that kicked my wife and I out of church for wanting to go further on and farther up with God. It was not WOF that accused my wife and I of being blasphemers and heretics because we asked a question That being Mark 16:17 Why do we see this so seldom today? It was not WOF that cursed us and our children as being false teachers and sinners. Do you know what that did to our little girls? All of them suffered because of self righteous church people like you and Angela. Too holy to see their own sin. They would rather put it onto someone else.

Oh Boy! I see that I have to forgive them all over again. Thirty years later.

You can teach me nothing. I know that I am not wrong. If the Word says it, that’s the way it is. Keep your self righteous junk to yourself. I will not answer Angelas contribution to your post. The fact that you are a teacher means nothing. You still put your pants on one leg at a time just like everybody else. You are no better.

I’m done…..Oh One more thing. My name is not Denalii Have some respect.

. DR…. Denalii, I see you are on a different tact to spread discord in this forum.

Denadii…This is not my thread, I’m simply answering accusations against other Christians.
DR…. First, you kept accusing people of not posting Scripture, and then turned around and never posted a single verse yourself. (I'm talking a complete verse - you do love to pull partial verse out of context, occasionaly!)

D….Wake up DR…I’ve posted scriptures and not out of context. Full verses…

DR… Now, when people talk about an outright heresy - be it Word Faith, Arianism or Docetism I saw in another thread yesterday (not you, Denalii) you say we are judging other Christians.

Hmmmm I see someone pulled a fast one. I think I owe DesertRose an apology? Laish sneaked a post from angela in here. I actually answered it. Sorry Denadii. That was a dirty and underhanded trick though Laish. Something one might expect from honest upright church people. Nope Desertrose pulled the same sneaky trick....No apology required. Still my answer is my answer.
