If God actually said they're the same thing it's an easy copy/paste within 1 minute process.

Been an hour now.

Doesn't take that long.

Unless, someone is LYING!!

If God has utterly forsaken Israel, His inheritance, His chosen people, His estranged wife, then how can i, a Gentile nomad, an useless and weak, broken vessel with nothing but faith to show for myself, ever trust Him to save me??

replacement theology is ignorant & heinous!
Replacement theology has become a catch phrase to connote many things, much like Calvinism, and has taken on a rather negative and impugning tone. Under what covenant will God return Israel to Himself?

The real question is, if those churches in the Gaza Strip, promoting Replacement Theology + helping the Muslims are now pebbles, and God is behind this destruction, why didn't God protect this false doctrine and congregations?

God literally destroyed them.

Are you just voting the straight ticket against me, @Dino246? ;)

You want the world to know you strongly disagree with absolutely everything I post, huh?

It appears, even when he's so wrong and could never recover from his antics and lack of Biblical knowledge + runs his mouth like he's full of understanding, that eventually he would learn from all his continued failures.

But even the greatest physicist Albert Einstein said, INSANITY, is doing the same things over and over and over thinking the results would eventually change.

Probably best to Pray for that individual because they have NOTHING to offer.

I don't subscribe to replacement theology any more than I subscribe to Calvinism. But God made a covenant with the nation Israel. But a new covenant was made through Christ. The old covenant no longer exists. Now God is coming to individuals in every nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue.
Every promise of God is in Christ yes, and in Him, amen. He is the fulfillment of every promise God ever made. This would include every OT promise to Israel.
Now there is only one man in Christ...the new creation. It does not take into account race, religion, gender, or any other attribute but is determined solely on faith in Christ.
On what basis, then, do you say God will reestablish Israel to Himself as a people? By what covenant?
I don't believe the church replaces Israel. I believe the church was always the way God was going to establish His tabernacle or presence in the world after the cross. God's goal of filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas is still occurring just as it has always been occurring.

sons of Jacob and Isaac - who are both physically and spiritually descended.
Ok.

Jesus does say that not every son from them is spiritually descended though.

Jacob and Isaac may be, but not all who come from them are.

Only those who fully embrace Christ are Children of God. That cuts out the majority of those the world calls Israel today.

[ONLY] ... "if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
Gal. 3:29

"For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
Gal. 3:26

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. ... [That] ... seed which is Christ."
Gal. 3:16

it is not Moses and the word of the LORD spoken through him that make some Jews hate Christ.
Well, all of Judaism hates Christ.

So I guess those Jews who don't practice Judaism don't.

You do know that Judaism does not embrace Christ, right?

They don't believe He is messiah, nor God.

Jesus says to them in John 4:24 that if they do not believe that He is the "I AM" they will die in their sins.

They do not embrace Him.

Just making a point clear.

Amen!

No, Jesus said, until the Jews cry out for Him...

That day hasn't happened.

But, it's still interesting knowing God helped them reestablish themselves as a Nation and brought them Victory in every War since then.

So, Covenant or Not, God, is still protecting them even against some Christians.

At least the Christians who attack the Jews.

we need to remember that Exodus 26 comes before Exodus 20.

God first proved the disobedience and unbelief of Israel by giving the sabbath and manna.
That happened in Exodus 16 before they even arrived at Mt. Sinai. He had already given the law by then or He couldn't have been testing them. There is no sin without law.
we also need to remember that Deuteronomy calls the decalogue explicitly a covenant, and that Zechariah, Matthew, Galatians, Romans and Hebrews are all equally explicit that the Christian is not under that covenant.
It doesn't matter what any prophet/apostle may seem to have said anywhere. If it contradicts what Christ said it is misinterpreted and wrong.

Christ is the end of all debate on these things.
"with a change in priesthood there is necessarily a change in law"
Yes, the Law changed.

But the decalogue did not and never will. The Bible is clear on that when understood from cover to cover. Nobody teaches that today though. All modern Bible teaching is compartmentalized to manipulate the teaching. Just like the trinity concept that is pointed out with cherry-picked verses when an actual teaching for it exists nowhere in Scripture.
this doesn't mean righteousness changes. it means what we are judged by, and what is required of us, does.
Agreed, but it doesn't do away with God's Law at all.

Jesus taught it and emulated it for us for a reason.

And it wasn't to destroy it.

The Bible told us very clearly that we would have grievous wolves come into the churches and lead many astray.
Yes, back to the ways of the Pharisees and Sadducees. As if what Jesus did effected nothing and changed nothing.

The 10 Commandments are now, and always will be, applicable to all professed Christians and they are quite literally the very foundation of the Christian Faith.
You just go ahead and make keeping them the foundation of your life then. Good luck with that.

As for me and my house, we will plead the blood of Jesus. We shall apply His blood to the doorpost of our lives.

Matthew 22:
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

EXODUS:

Chapter 20:

א וַיְדַבֵּר אֱלֹהִים, אֵת כָּל-הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה לֵאמֹר1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
ב אָנֹכִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵאתִיךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם מִבֵּית עֲבָדִים: לֹא-יִהְיֶה לְךָ אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים, עַל-פָּנָי.2 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

but look carefully at Chapter 21:

א וְאֵלֶּה, הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים, אֲשֶׁר תָּשִׂים, לִפְנֵיהֶם.1 Now these are the ordinances which thou shalt set before them.
ב כִּי תִקְנֶה עֶבֶד עִבְרִי, שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים יַעֲבֹד; וּבַשְּׁבִעִת--יֵצֵא לַחָפְשִׁי, חִנָּם.2 If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve; and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

First Commandment: 10 Commandments
I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

First Ordinance: LAW
If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve; and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

Anyone who thinks the Commandments are the LAW, does not understand the Hebrew Language at all!
The KJV uses the word Judgments where you have Ordinances, but I think we might be in agreement over all.

Christian "law" is what God-Christ declared a "new" commandment ((thus making the old obsolete, per Hebrews 8:13)), to love one another as Christ has loved us.
That doesn't make sense though.

Christian means follower of Christ.

What did Christ do?

He taught the 10 Commandments.

He obeyed the 10 Commandments.

He gave His life for all those who would follow His (God's) ways.

Many here have tried to dismiss Luke 23:54-56, but there's just no dismissing it.

If we could ask Jesus' closest followers what He taught about the 10 Commandments being changed, or going away, after His death, they would tell us by their actions in that passage.

The answer is crystal clear. They continued to obey them.

There is no sin without law.
And there is no permanent redemption from sin without trusting completely in the shed blood of Jesus for our salvation.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

this does not make the Christian lawless not is an excuse for sin: it makes us free, and it gives us the spirit of love and gratitude instead of the spirit of dread and fear and vanity, by which we go forward striving to do good things.
Before Christ, one had to obey all the Commandments and perform a literal sacrifice for any sins committed. Nobody could keep them perfectly then either.

After Christ, we still have to obey the 10 original Commandments that God Almighty spoke aloud and wrote in stone, but now we do it out of love for God, with the Holy Spirit living with us and inspiring and enabling us to follow them. If we stumble (James 3:2), we ask for forgiveness, ask God to help us repent and we move on, continuing in Jesus' Walk - which was in obedience to the 10 Commandments of God.

Full agreement.
