What if you die before water baptism?

I became aware that the apostles only administered water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. As such, I made the decision to obey what is recorded in the word.

I was oblivious to the fact that water baptism administered using the phrase Father, Son and Holy Ghost is a tradition begun by the forerunners of the Roman Catholic church. The change took place around 325 A.D. This is easily confirmed through a search of the Internet, and a vast number of church history encyclopedia's reference the change as well.

ah I see, I've been curious lately about the the subject of re-baptism in general, as far as I know there's only one example to go on in the bible. I'm trying to remember exactly what was said at my baptism. I know I was asked if Christ was my savior, but after that's a blur.

Baptised twice? What was that about?

Precious friend, how about Three times for me?:
1) forced upon me when I was an infant in Roman religion.

Called upon The Name Of The Lord at 27 years old.

2) On vacation, told relatives about my conversion and they said I should
"talk to their preacher." He showed me his "cherry-picked" Scriptures, but
since I was just a 'new-born' in Christ, they sounded 'good' to me. He said
that I should do it immediately [ red flag? ], but I said I would "wait" until
Sunday. Crazy thing was, I told my relative's congregation: "I was glad I
was joining the winning team" [ little did I know...]

3) Back home, went to 'reformed' assembly, even taught a youth class, but
studying and growing In Scriptures, started having trouble with their
'tradition' of infant baptism, asked 'em about it, and they gave me a
booklet to study. Found out it was not supported in Scriptures, so left
that place when my heart "felt horrible watching the very next
'traditional' ceremony on an infant.

4) Heard a one-time radio ad "inviting" me to a baptist assembly, and they
asked "If I had been baptized their way"? I told them about the immersion
into the 'church of Christ' way, and they informed me that was false, because
they taught it "was for salvation". So, low and behold, baptized the third
time. They said it was simply "an outward symbolic expression of an inward
faith" [ their 'cherry-picked' verses ] [ a babe, How VERY little did I know!... ]

5) Kept studying my Bible faithfully, prayerfully, and Carefully, and
some 8 years later, God Graciously Led me to 2 Timothy 2:15:

"Study to shew thyself Approved unto God, a workman that​

needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth."​

Wow, never heard of that in 'church' before, but:

Thanks Be Unto God, All of the above Confusion Was Eradicated By This
Biblical Method, instead of "following the aforementioned traditions" of
water baptism.

"In the name of" really means "by the authority of".

He possesses all authority

Avis name is important because it focuses everything on one whomis the fulness of the godhead bodily or in the flesh

a there’s no reason for us to get away from the name of Jesus our lord all authority is his but his name is his name the name of the son of God.

Obedience is possible for those of faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Our best efforts at obedience fall short apart from the life of Christ in us.

Jesus did not water baptize anyone during his Earthly Ministry. Some say there is no spiritual baptism, yet the word of God says there is, and Jesus is the one who baptized in the Holy Spirit, which is a Spiritual baptism. If we read John chapter one.
Also, being baptized in Jesus' name is a valid Baptism, but so is doing so in the name of the Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit.


A bunch of modern-day Pharisees placing on people what they themselves would not have placed on them. Jesus says that in Matthew, chapter 23. many have hurt water baptism and hurt people with their legalism. That will be delt with by the Lord. You who have caused children to stumble.

You can probably find out by checking the faith statement of the church denomination you were attending.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. It is not God's will that any should perish.

Hearing spiritually is understanding. Understanding is what is imparted to those who believe. It is a gift from God and is the grace employed by God to make known to them what He has done for them in Christ.
