Jesus could have risen in a body free of scars but, He chose to carry those scars throughout eternity.
Philippians 3:21
(21) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
1 John 3:2
(2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 Corinthians 15:53-54
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
(54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

2 Kings 5:14
(14) Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

When Naaman washed in the Jordan river his skin became as a baby, he was free of all blemishes

The main point I was trying to make is that Christ was in body. When the disciples went to the tomb, Jesus' body was gone.

It seems like you are suggesting that Jesus received a totally different body, and his the old one was placed somewhere out of the way, and His new body was not the old body, which was glorified and clothed in immorality never to die again.

So, is Jesus in body?

Luk 24:39 "Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have."

Col 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

Yes, Jesus is in body, because He rose from the dead.

So are we absent from the body in the resurrection?

1Cr 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.

Scripture says we are present in the body at the resurrection.

This means that to be "absent from the body and present from the Lord" is NOT talking about the resurrection. So, what does it mean to be "absent" from the body then?

Jesus was absent from His human body and had a glorified body

Jesus was absent from His human body and had a glorified body

Jesus told you otherwise.

Jhn 2:18-21
18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, "What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?" 19 Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." 20 Then the Jews said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?" 21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

1Cr 6:19 "...do you not know that your body is a temple...?"

Destroy THIS temple...in 3 days I will raise IT up. What was THIS temple referring to? His human body. He said He was going to raise up His human body after they destroyed it.

Then there were many proofs to show the sign that Jesus' human body had been raised from the dead: His body was no longer in the tomb; His body that had been destroyed and raised up bore the marks of the events at the cross- nail prints and a pierced side; Jesus tired to convince His disciples that He was in the body by telling them to see His hands and His feed, and to touch His body, and explained to them that He wasn't a spirit, because spirits do not have flesh and bone like He does. With many evidences Jesus showed that He fulfilled the sign that His human body would be destroyed and raised up 3 days later.

If you're going to continue to say that Jesus wasn't in His human body at the resurrection, then not only are you settled on lying, you're settled on calling Jesus a liar based on what He plainly says in John 2:19-21.

Examples:
Gen 1: 20, 30; Ex 4: 19; Lev 17: 11; Num 35: 31; Deut 12: 23; Joshua 2: 13; Judges 5: 18:
