Shalom, the calling I get to live out is to minister to those most have forgotten about... the ones in prison. these wonderful souls have reaped what they have sewn and know it.. they seek the love of our Savior and one to share with them the hope of the new life we all have in Him, I am blessed twice because my wife goes with me, some of these men will never see freedom again, but they are free indeed. we are humbled and brought to tears many times by the devotion and zeal we witness behind those walls. these men in many ways are more free and loved then any unsaved person out in the world.. and sadly even some believers, the Father knows how to reach even the most hardened of hearts, we never give up and we never fail to pray with and for them. I know with some this is not vey popular or glamorous but it is what I live to do, His will. be blessed and at peace.

I think mine is to simplify the scriptures that others make complicated with parables from everyday life in order to make it easier to understand. Also to be a good influence on others. And to show God's love- whether tough love or gentle love, always striving to be as gentle as possible as long as it is working, if not working I have to go with tougher love, until it's what they need. Also to be a peace maker, to calm the angry and encourage the timid. I guess I could go on and on. There are just general things God calls all of us to do, but He gets more specific with specific people, according to the gifts He gave them. I always looked for a physical talent in myself and couldn't find one, until I realized it was a spiritual talent, and the things God allowed me to go through prepared me for them.

I have enjoyed reading all the entries in this thread. Thank you all for sharing.
What I truly appreciate is God's acceptance of us, in Christ Jesus, and the knowledge of the completeness of His work on our behalf, gained at such cost to Himself.
My purpose is to know Christ, and be found 'in Him', not having any rightousness of my own, but to rejoice in His righteousness.
On a human level, I am a wife, a mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and I seek to accept, as I am accepted, and love as I am loved, to the glory of His grace.
I have been told that I am a 'pen', I certainly find it easier to express myself by writing rather than with my lips.
Ephesians 3:8-11, Paul tells us His, 'purpose': verses, 9 & 10 show us where our witness in this life is directed, and it's goal - how wonderful this is!

Blond has been called to do a lot of singing and has in her lifetime done that from a child and I have also been the glue helping people stick together....
I have family members that live close together in Indiana and I am in Florida, but when I go home to visit they somehow manage to come together and they only seem to do that when I am around....I don't understand why that is, but I have always felt like the glue that brings them together....
I would not say I am a leader, but at times have been so as at work planning conferences to get people to move along I would start doing something different and they would seem to follow my lead....God has been so very good to this orphan from the age of 12......He has given me so many different strengths that I never felt capable of. But I would want to give Him the glory for anything I have been able to do as without Him I would certainly be nothing.
So until then my heart will go on singing until then with joy I'll carry on....until the day my eyes behold the city, until the day God calls me home.........This Blond will continue to keep looking up and following Jesus and trying to help people around me do the same.....

I can say God gave me a talent for writing songs! Though its a hobby in my closet my family loves them. And I look forward to singing them in Heaven when I die.

I'm not a morning person, so God kind of gets me from one place to the next on remote control until I wake up. Then... not so much remote control. lol
