Live life to the fullest, and do good works for God and learning His words everyday. Living in a Godly way:

we have to spread the message of Christ to those that don't know Christ. There are a lot of people in your community that need help. You can help them. That is the purpose as best I can word it right now.

Everything has its purpose, even the wicked has a purpose. If you were around a lot of people that are wicked, and you get tired of being around them, that will draw you even more closer to God's righteousness.

What is the chief end of man? Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever.

If we exist to glorify God in all that we do, our focus is not on ourselves, and it's easier to cope when hard times come. Whatever you do, do for the glory of God. In doing so, you will be refreshed and renewed. You will find strength.

It is really important to find your purpose in Christ. I know God has a plan for you to serve him, which is part of glorifying God. Life really is meaningless (see Ecclesiastes!) if you do not know what God wants you to do.

My personal purpose is to minister to the "hurting and broken." I have served God in a lot of other ways, but this is where God has led me on my journey with him in recent years. And I will tell you, being in the will of God and knowing your purpose gives you great joy!

Please pray, and read your Bible and God will reveal his purpose for your life.

It's so very easy.
You listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd
Follow in Faith... that which you cannot see
And Obey His commands

Do you know Christ as Saviour? Do your read the Bible daily and pray? Those are the ways God speaks to us. But you have to know him first.

"For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." 1 Cor. 2:2

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." Romans 10:9-10

PM me if you want to talk about this more privately!

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

I can't hear him.
I think Mr. Stilly had some of the best advice I've read.
If you want to hear God, open and read your bible
If you want to hear him aloud, read it out loud

:)
Talk to God while you're reading his word, ask him to direct you to the message and lesson he wants you to learn.
Read his words with Gods opinion in mind, not our own.
For me Proverbs is always nice, but perhaps Matthew with Jesus talking is always a good place to reground in Him too.
Pray before you read, so that you go into spending time with the Lord in the right mindset...
Dying to and denying ourselves and seeking His will.
Hope that helps some.

Learning about various religions isn't going to help you find the right answers to your purpose in this life.

i have no qualms with leading an absurd life, so long as i'm leading a life that points to Christ.

if we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we have a sound mind, it is for you.

(1 Corinthians 5:13)

Living with purpose takes understanding God and how God is reflected in our universe and lives. Living a meaningful life with contentment, satisfaction, and deep happiness takes understanding the spiritual side of our life, and having that part of our life very real to us.

It is explained in the first verses of Genesis. At first the universe was a spiritual darkness. The word used in Hebrew was choshech, a word meaning blindness, of misery, of falsehood and ignorance. It means something that leads to death and destruction. On the the first day God added owr, a Hebrew word meaning illumination, enlightenment, a requirement for life. That is the spiritual side that endures forever.

God created us to live with this light and God gives us all kinds of help to do that. Sin is part of this darkness and it leads to this darkness in our world. God sent us scripture as a sort of road map away from this darkness, He sent His son who went through three days of hell to be a way for our forgiveness from sin, God sent the Holy Spirit to help usunderstand and to help guide us.

Using all these guides for what God calls a narrow way to walk, I try to follow them best I can, and when I still miss the right road I have Christ who forgives me and sets me right again.

My cousin is marrying a Muslim, I think she is great. The family doesn't like that she is a Muslim, so I want to know enough that I can defend her.

Ah, is your family religious or God-fearing Christians that this bothers them?

I can't hear him.
That is what I thought, although I knew God was there I couldn't hear Him. God will show Himself to you, just keep looking. When God opens your mind and heart to Him, it is a wonderful experience. I have heard of different people finding God in the strangest places. Some though a friend, some in a church. I looked for God in those places, too, and couldn't find Him there. I decided to read a chapter of His word every night and after what seemed a long time doing this, there God was in the Sermon of the Mount! That was 70 years ago, the day is vivid in my mind today.
