God made man an eternal being.

Man will live forever (in a since of having a conscious mind)

Death in those context means seperation. Adam did die the moment he ate of that tree, yet his physically lived for another 900 and some years. He had to be born again to restore the relationship with God.

Those born again, and restored to God. those who do not remain dead to God.

That spiritual death, if not taken care of. will last forever. (again, that is hell)

None of which can be shown from Scripture.

No He did not...

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Satan began the "immortal soul" false doctrine in the garden and man has believed him instead of God ever since...

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

I am going to be as real as real can be.... when I see video of my people that are Orthodox Jews and what they do to "keep" Torah and please G-d I cry and don't understand how G-d can send them to hell. But the truth is they rejected Y-shua. I am the created and not the creator.... I pray for the vial to be removed from their eyes so that will know Him (Y-shua). I wish many times G-d was a dictator I would in all things be holy as He is holy. I do know Him in whom I have believed; He is merciful, love and kind. And He is holy, just, and righteous. I will not soften hell because I love people too much to see them go there.
Hades (Hell) is a real place. The rich man did not like being there and desires to warn his brothers of such a place. I am not softening Hell. Hell is real and it is not good. But Hell is not a torture chamber. It is a place of torment. There is a difference. The rich man was tormented by the heat of the flame that was in front of him (in the great gulf that was between him and Abraham). For if the rich man was engulfed in flame he would be screaming and asking for buckets of water and not for a little water that was on someone's finger. Also, we do not know how long someone will be punished in the Lake of Fire before they are consumed both body and soul. That doesn't mean justice is not being served if they are not being punished there for all eternity. Being punished for all eternity means that the person had committed crimes eternally, and that just is not possible because nobody is eternal but God.

Hell: Eternal separation from the love of God. That in and of itself is torment. Sometimes, we feel a separation here in this life from God's love. Imagine that times eternity.
Wouldn't it only be torment if one was aware of it? Scripture says the dead know nothing. If that's the case then they don't know that they are separated from God, thus no torment.

Also, did Jesus die once to pay the price for our crimes or did Jesus have to suffer for all eternity in the Lake of Fire in order to pay the price for our sins? In other words, the penalty for sin was paid for with Christ ---- ONE TIME --- whereby He acted on our behalf as a substitute. If Christ is our substitute and we would end up being punished eternally, then Christ would have to pay that same punishment. However, the wages or the punishment for sin is death and not Eternal Torment, though.
I guess maybe Y-shua didn't know what He was talking about, even thou He created hell, when He talked about wailing and gnashing of teeth. But I would put my money on Him.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 is talking about the lifeless husks of dead bodies or corpses within the grave and it is not talking about the disembodied souls/spirits. This is evident by the fact that the chapter talks about how the dead will have no more reward. However, we know that those who die in Christ will one day have a reward, though.

It's talking about man. Man is not a spirit, you cannot show that from Scripture. Man is flesh and bone made from the dust. God told Adam, dust you are. He didn't say dust and a spirit you are. When the apostles saw Jesus and thought they saw a spirit Jesus said, 'a spirit does not have flesh and bone as you see I have'. Jesus wasn't a spirit and neither is man, a spirit doesn't have flesh and bone.

You are right. Death is falling asleep according to Scripture but Scripture tells of the second death after the judgment seat of Christ.

Well, you act like the ECT view of God within the Scriptures is not infalllible and that is the only true understanding of God. However, our thoughts are not God's thoughts, though. The true rest is always Scripture.

In fact, speaking of Scripture: When you read about the weeping and nashing of teeth in Matthew 13:42 you also have to read Matthew 13:12 that says that God will burn up the chaff (i.e. the wicked) with unquenchable fire, too. Meaning the wicked will be burned up. There are many verses that express that same line of thinking.

Thank you so much, I do believe the Scripture is the infallible, inerrant word of G-d and it is great that you showed to prove that even better than I did.

Paul says we are to keep three things blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. These three things are the soul, body, and spirit. Mary said she rejoiced within her spirit. Scripture says man's spirit returns to God; And there are ton of other verses that talk about man's spirit. So no. You are way off base here.

That is not what I meant. Anyways, what is your opiinion of the chaff (wicked) being burned up in Matthew 3:12? Are you not aware that there other passages that talk about the destruction of the wicked? Or you choosing not to see them?

Again thank you so much. I love you as my brother in Him no I do not agree with your point of view but isn't G-d good!!!! We can never disagree on the doctrine we must hold true: Y-shua is the only way of salvation by His grace, He died on the cross, He rose from the dead after three days, He is coming back, and the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of G-d. But He left many things to debate like healing, prosperity, is the Sabbath Saturday or Sunday..... it is so great that the Scripture makes us dig and either become stronger in our belief or see where we are missing it and usually by debate. I think you are a great man of G-d I strongly disagree with you on this issue. Thank you for the fun and even if you think I'm wicked I know Y-shua His blood covers me. You are right without Him I am wicked. My heart can be deceitfully wicked who can know it but Him.

It's okay that we disagree on the topic of Hell and the Lake of Fire. I do not consider it a salvation issue. Salvation is in repenting of one's sins and in accepting Christ; And Paul says we should come together for the worse and not for the better. Anyways, thank you for your kind words. You appear to have a good heart, dear sister.

Peace, love, and blessings be unto you.
And may God bless you.

I chose #4, but #2 also applies. Is it loving? Yes, unless you love evil.

"Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee" (Ezekiel 28:18). Imo, this prophecy has a double entendre, addressed to the king of Tyre but referring to Satan. Its a description of how he would perish, and it pertains to all who experience the Lake of Fire; "But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away" (Psalm 37:20). Its not purgatory or everlasting punishment, but the everlasting end of body, soul, and spirit. Your torment is knowing your going up in smoke forever. jmo

I find it interesting that so many draw this theology from Revelation, an apocalyptic book which is full of symbolism. For those who believe in ETC, let me ask you a question. Do you believe that Jesus was a lamb with seven eyes hanging on a cross?

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. (Rev 5:5-7 KJV)
The Christ The Jesus The Lion Our Lamb Did Serve TotallyPerfectly Chilling Everything Up His Cross-Tree. He Could Have Flown Elsewhere AnyTime. IMPOSSIBLE. IT IS DONE.
He Does Totally Own The Seven Spirits Of God. They Might Be On His Belly now. He Worthy.
