So I wanted to make this thread because I have seen many pastors and heard many either praise or complain about pastors and I even seen some who honestly I think didn't know what they were getting into.
So my thoughts are what does it take to be a pastor? Rather I suppose what does it take to be a good pastor? The job itself is a very huge responsibility not just because of where you stand in the church or the prep work need to do for sundays service but when you decide to walk that path you are choosing to be a leader a shepherd of his flock and every word you speak effects each soul that hears them. It requires not just strong faith but a heart that knows his voice and how to speak what he or she hears.

Knowledge of the scriptures, a strong faith and relationship with God, the ability to lead and to help guide his flock these are great qualities in a pastor but for me I have seen many pastors and been to many churches but there always seemed to be something lacking in every church I saw a pastor in. whether it really is that lacking or I was just was unlucky I never truly found the ideal pastor. They did well in organizing their sermon and there was wisdom in their lessons but I have always believed that a pastor who is filled with God's love would shine among other pastors, someone who truly impacts and moves the hearts of his flock.

Even before I was saved I always had this natural skill to read a room and when I became a Christian that was not only enhanced but I could also kind of sense things in a room of people, I could at times see a spark made in someones heart I could tell when a fire was made in someone or when a heart was deeply impacted by the words spoken, not to be boastful in anyway but this mainly happened from the words placed on my heart to speak and it happened almost every time I spoke.
And I wondered why when I would go to a church in the service this never seemed to happen much. Like I said I can for the most part read a room and maybe it my imagination but the room normally seemed kind non inspired and the sermons as well organized and sometimes very wise lessons seemed rehearsed.

Where was this fire I would wonder, why does his words not seem to really move and inspire these peoples hearts? I always saw a pastor as not just a shepherd or spiritual leader but one who God uses to move and make his church on fire, to make that spark and make his children hungry for him to make them thirst for him and make them crave a deeper relationship with him. It isn't enough to give a great lesson in my opinion after all great lessons are everywhere, but if a pastor knows the power words can have on a persons heart and if the words they speak can really move and inspire the hearts of others and rekindle that hunger and fire I think such a pastor would be the best kind regardless how well organized or well written their lecture and lesson in sermons are.

But even with all I think and believe What does it really take to be a pastor? What may I be lacking in my train of thought and what may I be wrong about? more importantly I would like to hear from all of you what you think personally what it takes to be a pastor, what kind of pastor would you want?
I see a lot of pastors who are too young.

All saints are to preach the Gospel, and share the word of God with all people, not only those they would call pastor.

However little, or how much, is what they will do, but whether called a pastor, or not, we all do the same thing, or at least should do the same thing, preach the word, and minister to the saints, and act Christlike.

Whether called pastor, or not, the job is the same for all saints, but I suppose being called a pastor means they are ministering to a larger crowd.

And God said that if anybody wants wisdom to ask Him who gives liberally to all people, nothing wavering, and we need not that any man teach us but the Spirit will teach us.

So God does not give the pastor any more wisdom than a common pew sitter in the back row, for He gives to all the saints the same, nothing wavering.

For some like to look at the pastor as great in the word of God, but anybody sincere to know the truth can understand the same, and might know more, but not to take away from the pastor, but all saints can know the same as each other concerning the word of God.

I do not worry about labels, pastor, apostle, prophet, evangelist, but do my job, but I know some people do like labels attached to them for it makes them feel important, but we do not want to fall in to the trap of the Pharisees where they liked that people thought they were great men of God, for Jesus said they have their reward, for they were giving glory to themselves, for they loved the praises of men more than the praises of God.

For it seems like many people like to exalt themselves as if they are greater than other saints, instead of being humble like they should be, which Paul said that he is the least of the least of the saints.

But we like to act like we are outdoing the rest, having more favor with God, and are special above other saints to God.

But I know this is about being a pastor, and what it takes, but I thought I'd point that out so we do not try to exalt ourselves thinking we are great when glory to God, which Paul was given a thorn in the flesh so he would not exalt himself above measure, for God resists the proud but gives grace unto the humble.

Ti 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
1Ti 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
1Ti 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
1Ti 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
1Ti 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
1Ti 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

1Ti 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
1Ti 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
1Ti 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
1Ti 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
1Ti 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
1Ti 3:13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Yes, I am a woman. God's created vessel to carry into the world the future generations and by his will alone. Power, in the womb. Our bodies grow babies. WOMAN!
And we preach too. And we are missionaries. And we are teachers of the word. Because God called us to that. WOMEN! Yes indeed. And we question false pastors and prophets because we love God not lies.

How can you wish me the best when your posts do not demonstrate you hold the best thoughts for nor toward me? Instead, you post innuendo against my intellect, and outright sarcasm because you do not agree with what I bring forward that is God's words, not mine.
There isn't a single scripture where God tells us to believe everything we're told and swallow it whole.
If we were to be that gullible, for even sheep will bow their head in the rain so as not to drown, we would not be forewarned that Satan prowls this earth as a hungry lion seeking souls to devour. Nor would we be told not to believe every spirit but to test them.

How does one test a spirit that is ultimately not of God? THEY QUESTION!
For those in Christ here please consider this. Do not EVER accept any presumed self-identified preacher of the word at their word when they try to cram it down your throats that you are to believe and obey every word they say under the mantel of teacher anointed by God in his service. Be that the title of pastor, preacher, deacon, apostle, or priest!

For centuries demons in collars have molested and outright raped the sons of those Catholics who thought not to question the emissary of God. And due to that conviction and faith in that collared male, their children raised in that belief from the time they were born and carried to baptism and trained in that same conviction, those children remained mute while being abused.

This is the truth. ANY so called speaker of God's word that tells you you are not to question them is Satan's emissary and their words and duty are assigned from the darkest evil source born of Satan's loins. Do not believe them. Turn away and never give them another thought. If God means them to be saved, he'll prove it later. Because they are not so in that moment. And that dear one is not your responsibility.

QUESTION!

If we didn't question, we would still think the earth is the center of the galaxy , and the world is flat and electricity is of the Devil.

Anyone that tells you do not dare question is first telling you they are afraid of the truth.

I will be done with your intentions now. God knows who you are.
