It is astonishing that I, with all my faults, am righteous and pure through Christ. It is both uplifting and humbling.

The Lord tells me He loves me, I am only asked if I believe Christ can wipe my sins away, and I believe that so I give all my sins to Him for cleaning. I still sin, but I try my best not to, I promised the lord I would do my best to turn from them. The Lord is faithful, I can rely perfectly on the Lord, the Lord doesn't test me but accepts me.

The only testing I have are from the things in my earthly life that are anything but peaches and cream, but I and the Lord work them out together. He strengthens me.

At the moment of the New Birth we receive everything we need. Jesus has provided it all for us through the blood of the new covenant (1 Corinthians 11:25).
Amen!

The correct understanding of positional sanctification and how live out what we already possess.

We yield ourselves to the work that God is doing within us.
Agree .. we need to yield and come into agreement with God ....we are new creations in Him.

Only through faith in the Cross of Christ does the Holy Spirit give one eyes to see (John 3:3-5), therefore when we begin trusting in anything other, we go blind (2 Peter 1:9) once again. Peter wrote that because he experienced it first hand.

Many of you are posting wonderful scriptures. But no one is telling us how to do the what to do so we will not become transgressors (Gal. 2:18, 21), and will not go blind (2 Peter 1:9).

This is the typical mistreatment of the Scripture that you post. Clearly, you are blind because you can't see the errors in Jimmy Swaggart's teaching.

Galatians is addressing the error of returning to the Mosaic law. For some reason you don't accept that, and instead make a corruption of Paul's teaching in order to propagate Swaggart's misinterpretations.

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. (Matthew 7:15, NIV)

I have listed below some personal observations describing the motives and tactics often evident in false apostles, prophets and teachers.
1. They are not seeking to educate but to control.
2. Their basic strategy is to crush the spirit and gain psychological control over the minds of those who would come under their influence.
3. They instigate discussion and debates on issues without any intention of bringing them to a resolution. These are the “stupid arguments” of 2 Timothy 2:23 which are designed to lead nowhere except to the establishing of the “prophet’s” authority.
4. They like to engage with issues which are controversial and which are likely to generate the maximum amount of heated debate. The issue is of little importance to them as the argument itself is the real objective.
5. Frequently they start out by seeking to make people angry with them, knowing that anger often betrays a sense of impotence. While experiencing this emotion of anger some become vulnerable to the sort of psychological pressures these “teachers” seek to exert.
6. They insult their respondents and belittle their ideas and arguments insisting that this is all part of robust debate. A common tactic is to respond with questions to the arguments put forward by others without making any attempt to justify their own.
7. They attempt to draw people into a maelstrom of confusion and half-digested “truth” so that the hearer’s desire for understanding is never satisfied. The purpose of this is to create an ongoing sense of dependence upon the “teacher.”
8. Usually, they do not adequately expound what they believe because they are not primarily interested in anyone following their teaching, but in following them.
9. They do not need, and often do not seek, a great depth of “knowledge” as they rely primarily upon the strength of their personality to create a following. In other words, when viewed objectively, their motives are often quite transparent and their arguments without a great deal of substance.
10. Some of them have the ability to cover all of this with a cloak of deception, using smooth, seemingly "spiritual” language.

Any effective defence against this type of assault is based upon the understanding that the objective of such teaching is not to educate nor to win arguments, but to control others. Having satisfied ourselves on this score, we may then confidently oppose or ignore (as appropriate) not only the individuals but the pathways along which they are attempting to draw us.

Virtually the whole book of Jude is given over to the condemnation of these emissaries of Satan in the strongest possible terms. If we are going to adequately protect Jesus’ precious lambs we must not hesitate to do the same.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:13, NIV)
For such as these the “blackest darkness has been reserved forever” (Jude 13).

If the Mosaic law was from our Lord, and if you believe our Lord is Holy, that He is our creator and created us and the earth, how can you say that all the law that the Lord gave is such we must not return to it?

Scripture explains that some things that are called Mosaic law is obsolete, like cutting foreskin to say you belong to the Lord when we are told it is in our hearts. But the Mosaic law, the law of the Lord is centered on love and the ten commandments are ways we live if we obey the law of love, or take Christ into our hearts. We must accept they are obsolete, the law of love aces them out but they are to be honored as from the Lord.

As stated, proper Faith will produce proper works. If not, the Holy Spirit says here that it is "dead faith." Lifeless Faith is profitless! In other words, if it is not produced and birth by the Holy Spirit, it is dead works and rotten fruit.

If it's done in the flesh, it will consume the person, i.e., "the bush"; however, if it's done by the Power of the Holy Spirit, the bush will burn and not be consumed (Exodus 3:2, Romans 8:2).

Mar 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Mar 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
Mar 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
Mar 10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
Mar 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Luk 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Luk 10:26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
Luk 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luk 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Joh 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: .....
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: .......
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

by just proclaiming to be a follower of Jesus, knowing the prophesies and the plan of salvation and about Jesus isn't enough.

This sums up so much scripture, it isn't what we study and believe, it is what we live. Like James tells us, demons know and believe, and shudder.

If you live that way, Paul said the good that he did deceive him.
We can do no good. Only by faith and the power of God/ The Holy Spirit in us can we do the good works. Fruits of our faith, or Good works that come by the Spirit living in us is different to good works that we do by our own efforts. our works do not save us, and can never make us good enough, but a real relationship with God and a surrendered heart is a choice we need to make. The spirit makes the right choice, constant holy works. our part is to surrender our heart to the Spirit.
Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh_3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Rom_8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom_8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

If you live that way, Paul said the good that he did deceive him.
Rom_7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

The commandment didn't deceive, it was sin that deceived. by knowing the law sin was revealed and sin equals death. No commandments = no sin. verse 13 answers the question.

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

If the Mosaic law was from our Lord, and if you believe our Lord is Holy, that He is our creator and created us and the earth, how can you say that all the law that the Lord gave is such we must not return to it?
That isn't what I said. Frankly, I'm tired of responding to your misrepresentations of my words. I know you can read, but between your eyes reading and your fingers typing, the words of others are consistently twisted.

Either we are subject to the Mosaic law or we are not. It's not a buffet where you can pick and choose. Those in Christ are not subject to the Mosaic law, because our relationship with God is not based on law, but on faith.
