Sorry I'm going to mess up your survey. I read the NKJV, which is not on your list. Sometimes the MKJV too.
Did you know that the results in the poll add upto over 150%?
That's because you can pick more than one.

My option is not up there:

Revised Standard Version: Catholic Edition. Not because I am a version-nazi, but because this one is a little less than an inch thick, about 6 inches long, and 4 inches wide. In other words, it fits in my book bag! They had us using the NAB in my intro to theology class, and that this was HUGE and, with the right ammount of force behind it, could probably kill a man.

I also like to read out of this really old copy of the New Testament put out by the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine in 1941. It is a revision of the Douay-Rheims, smells like dust, and is bandaged with black duct tape. I love it.

what version of the bible do you read?
I read the NIV since it is quite accurate and its easy to understand. But based on the research i have done the ESV and NASB are the most accurate translations.

NLT is not on your list either.

It seems instead of having the versions most people read, there's all these unheard of unpopular versions listed.

Where on earth did you get your list from?

I mean Douay-Rheims Version? Barby Bible? What on earth?

When King James wrote the English Bible, he knew what he was doing.

For some reason people think that the King James Version is the only version to be trusted but that is far from true. I took a Bible class a few years back that mapped out all of our Bibles and how got them and surprisingly the King James version is one of the worst. It was based on like 3 original copies and I think it was published before the dead sea scrolls were even found. The NASB is based on hundreds of original copies and is much truer to the original greek and hebrew.
