You quoted it yourself...

Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

He comes back to the earth.

His throne will be on earth and that is where we will be.
If our "place" is here on the earth, then why did He GO AND PREPARE A PLACE. This seems to be backwards logic. He goes to prepare a place, then he comes back to take us there - Not to stay.

John 18:36-39
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” [SUP]37 [/SUP]Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” [SUP]38 [/SUP]Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?”

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, it's within reach, it's within you.
No, it is not within us.

Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Who did Christ say this to?

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

The Pharisees. These guys...

Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Mat 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
Mat 23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
Mat 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Mat 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

And simply continue to read the chapter.

The word for "within" in Luke 17:21 is...

G1787
ἐντός
entos
Thayer Definition:
1) within, inside
1a) within you, i.e. in the midst of you1b) within you, i.e. your soul
Part of Speech: preposition
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from G1722

In the midst of you is the only definition that fits the context. Jesus was in the midst of the Pharisees here. If you believe that the Kingdom of God is personified by the Pharisees described in Mat 23 then your version of the Kingdom of God is much different than that of Christ's.

No eye has seen or ear heard what God has prepared for those that love Him.
