Jezus would probably read use what we call 'The old testament' and explain to us the meaning of everything. Like He once did during His time on earth.

I believe any version can be a great starting point for anyone seeking Him with an honest heart.
Some of the smartest people I know have a hard time with the KJV. ...yet they still found truth through another version.
Ask and you shall receive-- He will open anyone's eyes to His true message, no matter the name on the leather cover.

Exactly. For God so loved the world that He gave us...His Son (not a book).
Jesus Christ doesn't point to a certain bible, He points to Himself. It is the Bible that must point to Jesus Christ, not viceversa.

All - well most translations have their place. I probably would not have taken on the huge task of reading the KJV, deciphering the olde English would have been too big of a task for me. As a beginner it is difficult enough to make one's way through the Bible. Now I have several translations but I believe the KJV should only be for the established Christian - unless the beginner is very patient!

If the Bible brings the lost to Christ does it really matter which version it is? Doesn't more versions mean more Christians?

The NT evidence is that he quoted from the LXX. So I guess we can give the pious answer of "he didn't need one because he is the word" but the evidence is that he quoted the LXX.

If Jesus walked into your church, which Bible would he carry under his arm? Which Bible would he quote from?

This question appeared in my mailbox this morning from Chick Publications. It is promoting a book which tells us why Jesus would use the King James bible and only that Bible.

Seriously, would Jesus only use the King James Bible? I do not think so, he may have a copy of Greek or Aramaic tucked under his arm. This claim is yet another indicator of a cult, if you want any more proof that King James Onlyism is a cult then here it is, the cult is telling us what Jesus would do and claiming Jesus for thier cause and agenda.

One thing this cult over look is that the texts making up the bible were translated into numerous languages within a few years of Christ Ascension, they also over look the fact that once the Bible was collated it was then translated into just about every European language going. With the invention of the printing press the 15th Century saw a boom in Bible translations and distribution of them across Europe, most nations commissioned Bibles in thier own languages. THe King James bible was a relative late comer to the party.

Once you see how many copies and translations were produced of the more influential languages, you can easily apply the verse the King James Only Cult use to support their claims to these copies as well.

Anyway I Here is the rest of the blurb, if you do not think this group is a cult, then this should help persuade you it is.

You know how people get all upset and sometimes angry when someone talks about one bible version being better than another? It happens a lot in Bible studies because the differences in versions are painfully obvious to all.

Everyone's got an opinion as to which Bible is best.

And because of all the glaring differences and discrepancies in the different versions, the Lord himself is forced to pick just one of them. The funny thing is that hardly anyone ever considers the opinion of the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't you think he has a preference? Which one would he use?

Which Bible Would Jesus Use? gives answers to the biggest, nastiest, and most annoying objections you get when defending the King James Bible. Now when you hear the same old, childish comments, you'll quietly and confidently chuckle. You'll feel sorry for those who don't have a Bible they can believe in. But you won't be upset anymore.
You'll be able to feed the sincere with answers to their legitimate questions and you'll be able to walk away from the scoffers who don't have ears to hear, knowing you could not have said or done any more to persuade them.
Which Bible Would Jesus Use? is a new, entertaining and easy-to-read volume that delivers convincing answers to the most difficult objections posed by King James Bible critics.

Once you know for sure which Bible the Lord has already chosen and why, you'll never again have any doubts about "which Bible" is God's Bible.
this only shows the ignorance of those who post those questions....Jesus is the word.....if Jesus walked in my Church I would forget my bible and give him my ear....

He won't need one you say, that's right. But we do, just like the apostles did in there time. Only 'The Word' can explane everything to us.
