That specifies only the devil, beast, and false prophet which are three people. Nowhere does it say the rich man is tormented day and night forever.
So you believe the Devil will be "tormented day and night forever and ever"?
So the passage about the rich man and Lazarus does not mention how long.
It doesn't say Henry Ford would make automobiles either, but he did.

No I don't believe he's tormented day and night forever. I would believe that if there weren't other verses that proved otherwise:

Revelation 20:7-10 - the devil and the nations are devoured by fire.
7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Hebrews 2:14 - the devil is destroyed
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

It doesn't say Henry Ford would make automobiles either, but he did.
I personally believe it's best to be silent where the Bible is silent. If it doesn't say the rich man is tormented forever then it's food policy to not say he's tormented forever.

I have always been close to God my entire life and the God I know does not plan to torment people who reject him for all eternity. I know what is taught and the scriptures that those who teach this use, can you tell me how a wonderful and loving God would torment forever. Putting something bad to sleep forever and out of its misery, like a dog with rabies, is merciful. Please explain without scripture (because I know the verses well) ...explain by your experience and relationship with God what he revealed to you about this. I don't understand, the God I know is not like this. I do believe there is a judgment and evil people who reject him will not have a good end, but not that way.

if you consider that we are supposed to (ideally) love our neighbor as our self, and this is the fulfillment of one of the two commandments upon which the others can be grouped into ---- then if God does not love others exactly as Himself then He has failed and would not be love ..... or perfect, but false.

so if we start with ourselves -- as the standard + ideal perfection (Christ), then how would we figure it? we have to love everyone exactly like ourselves + love God (spirit/goodness). so... what would we want for ourselves ... for eternity ... if we were human + Spirit ... which we are, that is the question. that is what God wants -- if anyone can figure it, then they will know.

"for now we see through a glass darkly"

"now we know in part and we prophesy in part"

12 Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Have you noticed? Those who insist Hell is eternal are certain they're not going there. While some appear to take great pleasure in thinking those who disagree with them shall find out how wrong they are when they arrive there.

I wonder how many will bother to read this? The Origin of Hell | The Real Gospel of Christ

From Dust to Dust

16Furthermore, I saw under the sun that in the place of judgment there is wickedness, and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness. 17I said in my heart, “God will judge the righteous and the wicked, since there is a time for every activity and every deed.”

18I said to myself, “As for the sons of men, God tests them so that they may see for themselves that they are but beasts.” 19For the fates of both men and beasts are the same: As one dies, so dies the other—they all have the same breath.a Man has no advantage over the animals, since everything is futile. 20All go to one place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.

21Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and the spirit of the animal descends into the earth? 22I have seen that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will come after him?

Even though nearly every English Bible says the Devil will be "tormented day and night forever and ever"?
See, you got it right, forever and ever!
Hebrews 2:14 - the devil is destroyed
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Vague at best.
I personally believe it's best to be silent where the Bible is silent. If it doesn't say the rich man is tormented forever then it's food policy to not say he's tormented forever.
The rich man was alive in the fire. He was not destroyed. That's why Jesus warned us of EVERLASTING fire! BILLIONS of humans will certainly wish they would be destroyed. But they won't. They will be in the worst prison that ever existed with the worst beings who ever lived, the Devil and his angels, with no parole!

Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Belief in Hell is not required for eternal residency therein! Satan wants our company in Hell, forever and ever.

Ecclesiastes 3:20 All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return.
Parallel: All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. (biblehub.com)

Ecclesiastes 12:
7before the dust returns to the ground from which it came
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

8“Futility of futilities,” says the Teacher.
“Everything is futile!”

Psalms 139:
7Where can I go to escape Your Spirit?
Where can I flee from Your presence?
8If I ascend to the heavens, You are there;if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there.

IF? Where are you getting this stuff? Do you believe the Bible is God's written Word?
It was a question. Are you able to answer? Or is your only retort that which implies a questioner is not Christian. If that's your only out, please say so.
