Yes, but you also need to bring in the words "tormented day and night" which support aion. Below is the same word:

"Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven. And he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!

So, since the same word is used to describe God living forever and ever, does that mean that God only lives for an age or cycle of time, or does it mean that God's existence is never ending? If you chose the latter, you are correct.

In Revelation 20:10, the literal says:

"And the devil, the one deceiving them, was cast into the lake of fire and of sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet also are; and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages."

The beast and the false prophet will have been cast into the lake of fire a thousand years prior to Satan and by the use of the words "also are" it demonstrates that they are still existing in the lake of fire. The words "tormented day and night" cement in the fact that their torment will be never ending.

There is no scripture that says either directly or even hints at the punishment in the lake of fire as being temporary.

Here is another example of this:

"And these will go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into eternal life.” - Matt.25:46

The same word "aionios" is used to describe the condition of both the wicked and the righteous. Therefore, however you interpret the word 'eternal' for one, it must retain the same meaning for the other, i.e. If eternal punishment means temporary, then eternal life would also have to be temporary for the righteous and we know that isn't the case.

It is the context that should bear out the meaning.

The scripture above is in reference to the people of Israel and the time when they are resurrected, whether faithful or unfaithful. However, the meaning is the same in that, some will rise to eternal life and other to condemnation in the lake of fire.
So when the OT does not fit in to your theology must be only for Jew??

Nor do yours.

The verse DOES NOT say "they" in manuscripts. It only says devil is " tormented day and night forever and ever"
Not my opinion. Humans are going to the same place as the Devil.

Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
You are playing word games. The rich man WAS NOT in lake of fire nor had judgment day even taken place yet. Don't you understand that judgment day and people cast into lake of fire happens AFTER the Millennium? It did not take place when Jesus told this story. The rich man was tormented in flame in Hades, a waiting place for the unsaved dead BEFORE the future judgment day. You need to stop misusing the story of the rich man because it doesn't help your argument about the lake of fire.
The rich man died. He didn't cease to exist. He was still alive in the fire. And nowhere does it say he will "cease to exist".

So if you cant persuade someone you get mad?
No I'm not mad. Are you? Those who spend eternity in Hell will be really mad because they believed people with your unBiblical doctrine of annihilation.

Same place!

It's quite interesting how SDA's don't obey the Sabbath commands and neither do they believe in the numerous NT Scriptures of EVERLASTING FIRE.
Until layman states they are indeed SDA you're jousting with such remarks at your own strawman. You're attacking your own imagination thinking it insults someone else.

@layman, your profile limits who may view it. Why was it funny that I asked you to clarify if you are SDA when I am not able to see your personal profile info due to your settings?

It helps if you are not, to say so. This may alleviate the personal attack and slander headed your way as some think right here.

He also talks to people. Where is it in the bible says people can talk to those out side of hell?

Like you're doing right now? I think it's the Scriptures that people will go to the exact same FIRE as the Devil "forever and ever" that upsets you so much.

No. :)

By the way, since layman doesn't wish to answer and I respect that, there is nothing wrong with being a Seventh Day Adventist.

Seeing how that would bring things off topic, I digress.

Please note, relentless personal attacks from what the attacker infers of you has long ago accomplished that. As intended I think.
Setting the record straight may take the wind out of the sails.

Nothing wrong with removing the everlasting punishment from the Bible?

Revelation 22:19 (NKJV)
19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
