Actually, that was a poor argument and please forgive me for saying that. What I really meant to say is that God went to the trouble of giving us what you ate calling his word but doesn’t give us the ability to understand it so the people after reading it and studying get completely opposite understandings of primary and basic teachings. There is anything but unity in the Christian church now even among scholars and people that sincerely study. That must mean something to you. Could it be that it’s really not inspired and men with good intentions wrote down what they thought was right?
God gives every man the ability to comprehend their need to be saved. God gives sufficient light in every soul that it can recognize it's need to be saved and that Jesus is the way of salvation.

The weightier and deeper truths of Gods word are for those who have the Holy Spirit abiding in their hearts. The Holy Spirit is the believers evidence that they are saved. The holy things of God are for those who have been born again not for the unsaved.

I don't think Jesus would attend any church today and for precisely the reasons tantalon explained with regard to denominations. I recall the early followers of Christ after he ascended were called disciples. Later somewhere in scripture we're told we were called Christians in the land of Antioch. But we had to be called something before that I'm sure.
Yes before he renamed his bride he called her(us) Israel. Christian a more befitting name in respect to the one bride made up of all nations.

Agreed, the one church are churches that believe in Jesus and his teaching. We all have varied belief systems but as long as we have the core values then it doesnt matter, for example if everyone believes in the rapture, it wouldnt matter when exactly people believe when Jesus is coming back. If everyone believe in the indwelling of the holy spirit, then it does matter how a person believes how they can receive him. as long as they follow scripture. Naturally denominations comes from studying isolated verses. The bible is complex i have to admit but its worth having the core values at least.

Or, it could be that there are so many contradictions in the Bible and people cherry pick what makes them feel good and lines up with what they already believe or what their group believes so they can Continue to be a part.
Or maybe the Bible is consistent and forewarned about the many christian denominations that we have.

Matthew 24:5
For many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

The bible backs you up. 2 Tim. 2:14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.

But we have many in our church who believe the commands that come from men, not God. Should we point them out with scripture?

Asked, not presume. Thanks for answering.
Not so. You asked and then presumed by answering your own question while reiterating your belief about Jesus and denominations.
Did you dismiss all I said because I didn't say the denomination Jesus WOULD attend? Actually, Jesus does attend today. It is a question of whether Jesus is the source of the doctrines of any church today.

And at the same time reiterated what you believe without actually addressing my actual question that you'd quoted prior to doing that.

Jesus is not in all denominations today. That would be against what he said of himself and his truth. I am the way the truth and the life.No one comes to the father but through me.

When there is one God and one way to God there cannot then be maybe even hundreds of denominations teaching how to get there.

Why can’t God just tell us what the truth is. What does that say about him when he lets people flounder and wondering constantly?
Because that takes away the entire purpose. In everything in life rarely are things ever just handed to you you have to seek it out you have to desire it you have to discover the truth of the matter. In school they teach you things but do not just hand over the answers they want you to use your head to study to figure it out.

proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.
If I find a treasure map leading to great riches I am not just handed the answers of how to find it or how to navigate it, I have to use my head I need to figure out the clues if a treasure is valuable it isn't going to be something just anyone can find

As far as any denomination goes I think it is better just say we are Christian or a child of God, I mean if you were to go before God and ask what denomination you belong to you how much do you bet he would just say you are my child and you belong to me.
