I use two names -- "earthly Jesus" and "risen Jesus" --, but the Lord Jesus is only one. What I mean is: in His earthly ministry He said so and so and after the cross the same Lord Jesus said something different, according to God's plan.
Yes indeed !
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever....the same before and after when it comes to UPholding His Fathers Commandments which are to
Love God and neighbour !
Teaching MAN to do this is a hard lesson for Paul because of man's REJECTION of loving God as GOD wants it....starting with sharing in HIS Holy time....Sabbath !
People don't seem to appreciate the great Honour God is bestowing on them to share intimate time with Him.

No doubt it is YHWH that saves, no man can save himself, but is there a need to obey what the Messiah says or just beleive that He is?
True...many believe but won't go the extra mile of OBeying....and they fall short ! Jas 2v19,20....being in the devils league !

James 2:19-20, "You believe that YHWH is one. (Deu 6:4) You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?"

May we keep our minds and hearts upon Yahshua/Jesus that we are found to be in Him.

Nice to see you here, Beta! Just watch the video below and you'll see that Jesus said "keep the the commandments" because the Law of Moses was then still in force. But years later Jesus used Paul to announce our freedom from the Law, so that we could worship God every day and not only on Saturdays.

If you think that we must do EVERYTHING Jesus said while He was on earth, then you'll have to sell your properties and give alms; offer sacrifices; burn incense; etc. But, don't worry, you don't have to. Just watch the video!

But the earthly Jesus said "keep the commandments", whereas the risen Jesus (Paul) said "you are not under the Law".
Amazing, to get to this unpacking of what Law truly is
Paul unpacked it, as Jesus first fulfilled it in truth, as it was meant to begin with Love to us all from Father

AS Jesus was asked, what is the greatest command of all commands
Jesus answered LOVE as is described in 1 Cor 13:4-7 today. the truth of Love and I fail that period, so I need his lead through me to be able to do it and take no credit for doing it ever.

The First Four Commands are LOVE to Father and no other, The last six are to love neighbor now as Father loves us first. Was said as one loves themselves
Later Jesus said no not as one loves self as he has Loved us.

So on the cross in willing death for all, not a few for all, how much is his love?

So the Disciples wrote or John actually

We love because he first loved us. So that tells me no other way to truly Love and so no works of self can do it. Paul only commended himself because of our pride in thinking we are doing it right
Phil 3, tells us this and 2 Cor 12:7-10

So just love as God does, and when one sees they can't, then ask for the imputation of Faith from Father in Risen Son to see as Abraham did before Christ ever came to earth to reconcile us all to Father for new life to be given in his Risen Son as per Acts 20:21
The imputation of Father's love is revealed in Romans 4:17-25

So again it is LOVE the entire meaning of the Law. Not the letter as was and still today is misinterpreted

Thank you all, God does just love us all, otherwise, Son would not have ever come to earth to reconcile us first for new life to be given from Father once one believes personally to Father

If Christians were supposed to keep the Law most of Paul's letters would be completely different.

It's obvious that the Gentiles had absolutely no clue on how to keep the Mosaic law. Even for modern day Christians, who have pocket/purse sized Bibles, it is impossible to keep the whole Law, let alone primitive Gentile Christians. They would need many scrolls containing the Pentateuch translated from Hebrew to their languages, or it would be necessary to put together new books especially designed to help Gentiles keep the Law.

Paul would have gone straight to the point in his letters, saying something like:"Brethren, now that I have provided you with translated copies of the first five books of the Tanakh, read them thoroughly and do not disregard any yodh or tittle from them because the Lord Jesus said no to".

So, then, what does Paul mean by "you are not under the Law" ?

So, then, what does Paul mean by "you are not under the Law" ?
Not under the curses:

The “curse of the Law” is receiving death for sin worthy of death. Yahshua/Jesus took that curse upon Himself for all those in Him.

1 John 5:17, "All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death."

Deuteronomy 21:22-23, “And when a man has committed a sin worthy of death, then he shall be put to death and you shall hang him on a tree. Let his body not remain overnight on the tree, for you shall certainly bury him the same day – for he who is hanged is accursed of Yah – so that you do not defile the land which יהוה your Strength is giving you as an inheritance.”

Galatians 3:10-14, “10, "For as many as are of works of Torah are under the curse, for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all that has been written in the Book of the Torah, to do them.” (Deut 27:26) 11, "And that no one is declared right by Torah before YHWH is clear, for “The righteous shall live by belief. (Hab 2:4)” 12, "And the Torah is not of belief, but “The man who does them shall live by them, (Leviticus 18:5)” 13, "Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the Torah, having become a curse for us – for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree.” – (Deut 21:23) 14, "in order that the blessing of Aḇraham might come upon the nations in Messiah יהושע, to receive the promise of the Spirit through belief."

Galatians 3:13,(KJV) "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law (death), being made a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangeth on a tree."

1 Peter 2:24, "who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed.”

Isaiah 53:4-5, “Truly, He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains. Yet we reckoned Him smitten·, stricken by YHWH, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our crookedness. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

1 Peter 4:1-2, "Therefore, since Messiah suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so that he no longer lives the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but according to the desire of YHWH."

So, you mean "you are not under the Law" is the same as "you are not under the curse of the Law" ?
Yes, how could it mean the beleive is not to follo it when Paul himself says to follow it:

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Acts 24:14, "But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy, so I (Paul) worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."

Acts 21:24, "Take them, and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads. Then everyone will know that those things they were informed about you (forsaking the Law), were lies, and that you (Paul), yourself, walk orderly, and keep the Law."

1 Corinthians 7:19, "For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of Yah?"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Romans 7:7, Shall we therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet."

Romans 7:12, "Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous."

Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with a promise: That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."

Maybe Paul is confused in you view? IDK, but I know for sure what Yahshua says:

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the Commands of יהוה and possessing the Witness of יהושע Messiah."

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Exodus 20:6, “But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws.”

John/Yahanan 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

John 14:23-24, "יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.”

Hebrews 13:7-8, “Remember those leading you, who spoke the Word of יהוה to you. Consider the outcome of their behavior and imitate their belief. יהושע Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Not trying to be rude but I know you have Yahshua/Jesus changing, but it says: "
Messiah is the same yesterday, and today, and forever"

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against YHWH, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of YHWH, and think to change times and Laws…"

Also Yahshua/Jesus still has to fulfill His return as the conquering Lion:

Luke 24:44-46, “And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all have to be fulfilled that were written in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it has been written, and so it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise again from the dead the third day.”

Isaiah 45:21-22, “Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has declared it from that time? Is it not I, יהוה? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a righteous Power and Savior, there is none besides Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am Strength, and there is none else.”

Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do.”

There are 2 "it is done" statements...

Fulfilled already
John 19:30, “So when
יהושע took the sour wine He said, “It is done!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

Fulfilled already- To be fulfilled in the future

1. Passover/First-fruits – Yahshua's Sacrifice(Passover), burial and resurrection (First Fruits – presenting Himself to YHWH)
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Removal of sin by Yahshua's perfect work as the Passover Sacrifice
3. Feast of Weeks – The blessing Holy Spirit of YHWH, coming into our lives stronger than ever

4. Feast of Trumpets – Yahshua's return and gathering of the Saints
5. Day of Atonement – Yahshua leads the army of YHWH to destroy evil rulers of this world and satan is chained for 1,000 years
6. Feast of Tabernacles – Yahshua dwells on earth for 1,000 years teaching truth and righteousness
7. The Last Great Day – satan is loosed and swiftly destroyed, the Kingdom of YHWH reigns forever

To be fulfilled in the future
Revelation 21:4-8, “And Yah shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away. And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Strength and he shall be My son. But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

I see you like to isolate Scripture to "prove" your doctrine. I belong to no earthy denomanation. I follow the Messiah Yahshua.

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

*Mosheh wrote:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

"listen" is word #8085 -
שָׁמַעshama` {shaw-mah'}

Brown-Driver-Briggs (Old Testament Hebrew-English Lexicon)
A primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively to tell, etc.)

Hebrew Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar) - 1) to hear, listen to, obey

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

1 Corinthians 10:23-33, “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Matt 13:41-43, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."

1 Corinthians 4:1-5, "4:1, "Think of us as servants of the Messiah and as servant managers entrusted with God’s secrets."4:2, "Now it is required of servant managers that each one should prove to be trustworthy."4:3, "It is a very small thing to me that I should be examined by you or by any human court. In fact, I don’t even evaluate myself."4:4, "For my conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who examines me."4:5, "Therefore, stop judging prematurely, before the Lord comes, for he will bring to light what is now hidden in darkness and reveal the motives of our hearts. Then each person will receive his praise from God."

4:3, "It is a very small thing to me that I should be examined by you or by any human court. In fact, I don’t even evaluate myself."4:4, "For my conscience is clear, but that does not vindicate me. It is the Lord who examines me."4:5, "Therefore, stop judging prematurely, before the Lord comes

5:3 For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. 4 When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 5:1-13, “It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not tolerated even among pagans, for a man has his father's wife. 2 And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you. 3 For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did such a thing. 4 When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. 6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13 God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

I am trying to learn from you -- I'm not able to figure out how you came to the conclusion that Christians are supposed to keep the law of Moses.

And you didn't answer my question: Did you add the word CURSE to Paul's words in order to match your theology?

you call it the Law of Moses,

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Who is the judge?

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Who gave Himself for you?

Isaiah 53:12, “Therefore I give Him a portion among the great, and He divides the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Who is your Shepherd?

Ephesians 4:11, “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors (G4166 poimén) and teachers.”

Paul says some have been appointed as “poimen” or pastors, Yahshua says there is only one “poimen” or pastor, Himself.

John 10:16, “And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd (G4166 poimén).”
