1 Corinthians 11: 4 - 5 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.
1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Some people think that the covering is a cloth covering, but the Bible says it is her hair.
Some people will say legalism, do not tell us how to have our hair, but you cannot ignore what God said concerning the hair of a man and a woman.
And that is because God wants a distinction between a man and a woman, and if a man has long hair it is a shame to him and he puts himself in the place of a woman, and if a woman has short hair it puts herself in the place of a man.
If a woman has 2 feet of hair and cuts it an inch it is the same as if she was shaven and puts herself in the place of a man.
1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
Jesus came in the image of God so He would of had short hair, and some people might say, Samson had long hair and was dedicated to God, but Samson was not in the image of God, but only according to the flesh, and the image of God is an innocent nature in flesh, which did not happen until Jesus came and to those who receive the Spirit and hate sin.
