It's been about 2,000 years and a lot has changed since then. Totally different world we live in now. Don't you think it's time for a version 2?

It's the same people, same sins. There's no need for the bible to change.

Was internet porn mentioned in the Bible? Shouldn't that be in the updated list of commandments?

Yes, but there are many contradictions in the bible.

EX 20:14 God prohibits adultery.
HO 1:2 God instructs Hosea to "take a wife of harlotry."

Fact is, with the technology boom ranging from digital devices to nuclear weapons, the world and it's people are NOT the same as 2000 years ago.
People are more intelligent and evolved.

OK first point, there is no contradiction there at all. just misunderstanding on your part. God does, did and will prohibit adultery. Hosea was an example to Israel how God continued to love them and call them and be faithful to them even though his bride/Israel were unfaithful. God was teaching them a lesson.

Second point.

"People are more intelligent and evolved"

as if, we are no smarter than those before us. evolved is the reverse of what has happened to us. We are committing the same sins. doing the same things. we just do them in slightly different ways. nothing has changed.

If we are more intelligent then we are also more guilty. because we do the same things they did. and still have not taken the advice of Christ.

Think about it.

1) I would be careful to so easily claim there is any kind of contradiction in scripture, just because you don't understand what a certain text means, Hosea 1:2 being an example. I recommend you read all the text that is included with that verse.

why would he? technology might be different but we have the same sins, the same desires, and the same problems they did back then.

Ya it is! Exodus 20:14, Thou shalt NOT comment ADULTRY!
God does not change! Neither does His Word! Same for yesturday, today and tomorow!

And; Revelations 21:18,19 say, (V18) if any man adds unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. (V19) or takes away from the words of this book, God shall take away his part out of the book of life.

The commandments don’t change. We still need to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Any new light must agree with what is already written so there won't be anything different. Understanding the Bible comes through surrender
John 7:17
(17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Also we should always pray for understanding before opening the word of God
Luke 24:45
(45) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

You can argue that it already does

Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Job 40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Job 40:18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
Job 40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
Job 40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
Job 40:21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
Job 40:22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
Job 40:23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
Job 40:24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

His Word is as true today as it was thousands of years ago. His Word always has and will always be. So why would we need a revision?

Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

The dangers of this life and the mistakes we make are not new nor are they news to God. Same old serpent, same old sins, we just seem to find more creative ways to fail Him.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
