There are only two types of righteousness found in scripture

1. By the law - no one meets this standard
2. The righteousness of Christ being added to you.

There is no other standard.. Thats why paul said, for ALL (including you and me) have sinned and FALL SHORT.

The term sin (hamarte) literally means missed the mark..

And yep. You and I STILl to this day, miss that mark.
Righteousness by faith. Faith without works is dead.

You prayed for change?

How about praying from a bankrupt state as the tax collector did. And have God SAVE YOU.

THEN learn to allow the HS to change you. (As the BIBLE says he WILL (not might) if you step aside and let him .

The HS is not going to change you against your will..
Your doctrine is non sense.

Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey [G5219] him,
G5219 ^ (I added to your post just to show where the word is)- "[5219 (hypakoúō) is an "intensification" of the simple verb "to listen" (191 /akoúō, "hear").]"

Back to this, How many works equals a dead faith? You love to use this passage but refuse to interpret it.

And once again, TRUE FAITH WORKS. It is not a question of iF it will work. IT WILL..

Thats WHY a CLAIMED FAITH without works (no works) is dead. And CAN NOT SAVE.

Works are putting Gods word into practice. Doing what he commands us to do in the bible. Works for God. To please him, love him and obey him.

I am not up to going on about this anymore. I already discussed it before. I am sick of repeating myself.

You just want to sound highly educated. God chose the lowly things of the world, to put to shame the wise. So you may be wise in your own eyes, but God can reveal things to many kinds of people.

No

Works are a BYPRODUCT of true living faith.

Once again, Can you explain what NO WORKS means.

Is it that hard?

I actually changed that to (not) under the old law
If your not under grace, YOU ARE UNDER THAT OLD LAW.

Deny it all you want. You reject grace like you are doing, You will by judged by that law and found guilty (see james, if we break even one command, we are guilty of all)

Repeating yourself?

You have not once said “no works = XXXXXXX”

So your repeating your silence, Not your belief.

Sorry, I am not trying to judge you, Just stating the facts.

Can you explain what NO WORKS means?

Does it mean 0 wrks?
10 works?
100 Works?

What is the answer?

The question is, is there anything we need to do or is God doing everything for us?

I do believe the reward is salvation or rather only those that are saved are rewarded but is there anything they need to do to achieve salvation and reward or God does everything and still rewards them?
when I say rewards I'm talking about rewards at the judgement seat of CHRIST where we get rewarded but to answer your question about working and not faith alone,
Salvation Is by GRACE through faith alone otherwise Grace would not be Grace.

Works are Gods commands in the bible, everything he tells us to in the NT. If Gods says, love thy brother. In obedience we love thy brother. That means Obeying God

Yes, He can and He does--->(Phil3:15).

[inserting this: BTW, 1Cor1:26-27 has LONG been among my favorite passages, because I can so relate to it]

____________

I was just popping back into this thread to add...

I posted these yesterday (diff thread):

[speaking of "the Church which is His body"]

"For we are His workmanship, having been created [G2936 - ktizo/ktisthentes] in Christ Jesus for […]" - Eph2:10.

"having been created IN Christ Jesus" [CREATED<---powerful word here (only God can do)]

[...] "...[redemption] of the purchased/acquired possession [one word in the Grk, G4047 peripoieseos/peripoiesis]..." (I love that part!)

"4047 peripoíēsis (from 4012 /perí, "all-around" and 4160 /poiéō, "make") – properly, make one's own; completely obtain, i.e. as a full possession (to real advantage, LS) [...]"
