Okay so what would you say if you were before Jesus right at the gates of heaven and he asked you why should I let you into heaven? I will tell you what I would say- I would kneel before him not even able to look down and say Lord, I do not deserve to go to heaven nor do I deserve you. I have sinned much in my life and am unworthy to be called your son and I am not fit to even stand before you here and now. But I have longed for you and sought after you exhaustively and have craved to be right where I am here before you, I have nothing good to offer you for I am poor. I don't have great riches I don't have anything that is worthy to give you except this one thing- my Heart. It is a filthy unclean heart, it is damaged and spotted with sin but it is the greatest thing I have to give you. with that being said Lord the only reason I would be able to come into your kingdom is because of your vast love mercy grace and what you did for me on the cross.

This is what I would say, I can see this play out in my mind in fact that is kind of why I made this thread because I saw it but I can't get past this point. I can see everything but I cannot see what his response is or if this is the answer that pleases him. I wrote this from my heart and I truly want this to be an answer that greatly pleases him.
But anyways what would you say?
If I am honest, I most likely could not even say this, I would be like Daniel, in fear, speechless, shaking like a baby, Until he grabs me and makes me look at him, and says I love you, I forgave you, as I paid the penalty for you. And you recieved my grace gift with humility, Come and enter in.

My thoughts too. It's not like it's, "Ok, you have one final challenge to meet - answer this trivia correctly and you're the big winner.....but answer it incorrectly, and it's eternity in hades for you!"

I wonder if there's a time limit to the question? What if I just stood there and said nothing? I mean, if you were going to hedge your bets, not answering and standing around waiting for eternity is better than answering incorrectly and being thrown to the fire forever. Why even take the risk of eternity in the fire by making a mistake in your answer? Even answering the question would be the biggest gamble you would ever make.
I suspect it will be more like, "My child, why do you stand at the threshhold and wait?

Enter into the joy of your Lord!"
