Yeah, if many claim they have Holy Spirit (like Christendom as a whole) then expect to be challenged on that account, if not then create a private forum for selected members and don't allow the general public in to challenge Christendom?. But i can understand the swearing, mind you i have seen (rofl) quite a lot on this forum so sometimes it is a double standard.

Let them laugh; they're laughing at their own demise.
Perhaps yes?, but we are all aging and we all shall die, are we all not heading to hell?, if hell, sheol and hades means common grave of mankind? then all die and get buried, yeah some might be cremated. If Jesus Christ died and was buried did he not enter into sheol? hell? hades?

Indeed the Bible is not the Word of God.

Jesus is the Word of God according to The Holy Books.
I disagree. The Bible is the "Written Word of God" and Jesus is the "Living Word of God." I think of the "Written Word" as sort of like a love letter from the LORD. You cannot have one without the other and both are just as equally important. For the "Written Word" (and the "Spoken Word of God") always abides with the "Living Word."

Swearing, really? I've only seen it from people who are banned. Generally trolls.

One of the problems on this site is that people READ anger into straightforward answers. I suspect most of us 'argue' without having strong antagonistic feelings. It is reasonable to ask a question as to why someone has done something. Why should it be assumed that it is an 'attack'? It is often putting forward a justifiable point of view.

One of the problems on this site.
It's not a bad site and there are much worse, but I think the Holy Spirit is telling me I don't really belong here?, who knows?, take care all, I shall see myself out the door, I feel free already and no more to sow discord amongst any people, sometimes much is said in silence and actions speak louder than mere words. Into the fray I go, lol.

You recognise the Holy Spirit and you're still resisting God's pull on your life? Wow.

I'd have been frustrated too. I'm getting much the same in my threads. Its the initiation to CC. Just get a thicker skin i was told. Its helping:)

No.
This is a "christian forum".
If you come here and contradict the basic tenets of the Christian faith,
then it's YOU that has created a debate.

When you come here, claim to be a Christian, and start questioning the authenticity of the Bible... it's the same as if I went to a Muslim website, and posted something against the Koran. I should EXPECT a debate.

It's very disingenuous to come here, publicly take a contrary view, and then act like a "victim" when a debate ensues.

It's just incredibly disingenuous.

You don't get to play the victim role after YOU start debates and arguments.
Nobody is going to buy into that.

Maybe some people are a bit trigger-happy. But he was banned for being abusive and rude, not for having contrary beliefs (you have seen all of the false teachings still flying around CC, yes?)
Did I read his op wrong?

It seemed to me he wanted to discuss the article...which he DID NOT agree with?

What bugged me, was folks saying oh you should not read Huffington Post...I find that childish

ha...

half the fist-a-cuffs on these forums are caused by one member not comprehending or taking the time to read and UNDERSTAND what a person writes or an op

I don't get headaches, thank God...but some frustration? oh yes...evidently!

I am really feeling I wish we could have decent discussion without one upping, name calling and running people through with a sword

And don't no one tell me I do it too...I know I have (well not name calling in public anyway) but Ah iz tring to quit it!

or something like that

There are so many things people should be aware of instead of censoring....I don't mean allow all kinds of doctrines of demons...of couse not...I'm talking about what is going on outside our front doors

does it hurt to just talk to someone?

sheesh

I don't know what he wrote cause it seems a mod censored it....so why do you think you can throw it back at him?

I'm not taking sides, but hey, where's the other cheek?

This site would be so much better if people would read with their eyes open and their mouths closed

Find the other half of your glasses and go and read the OP. The OP never questioned the authenticity of the Bible. In fact, his point was that he's against those who do? Seriously, can anybody here even read? Some people here just live for strife and contention and their own posting histories bear witness of the same.

It's hardly suprising though, christendom as a whole is divided, i can see why secularists laugh at christianity and what it teaches from the bible simply because it is all over the place, there are so many different interpretations of the bible.

yes...and then to top it off, we have these modern day prophets running around having visions coming out their ears about the end of the world or the next nuclear bomb drop off site...now it's the East Coast and September and don't you know that Mr O is the last American prez?

I am praying about all this stuff...it sickens me...we need some real prophets to stand up and tell them to shut up cause when these things do not happen, who is going to hurt?

I guess God allows it to sift ... because it is getting harder and harder to know the truth because it is getting harder and harder to hear it

So, armed with our Bibles, filled with the Spirit of God and prayer and taking on the armor, we venture out the door every morning and we had better look both ways before we cross the spiritual street

You misunderstood Kedge's post. When he said that the Holy Spirit is telling him that "he doesn't belong here", he meant "here" as in the website: christianchat.com. He didn't mean "here" as in Christianity.
