His second sentence contradicts his point that "the bible is not the Word of God".

"Perhaps it should be first noted that I am a licensed minister in the Missionary Baptist tradition. I believe in preaching the word of God."

Here's a question -- since so many jumped on MoladhDia's case before actually reading the article and because of that he got banned from this site, is there anyway we can speak up to bring him back? He was lynched, simply because people thought, "The title of this thread told me all I need to know about this thread." That was terribly unfair, so can we rectify this?

And, yes, he cursed, but I bet that's not why he was banned so quickly.
I actually reached out to the OP via private messaging a couple of weeks ago when I noticed him getting frustrated with certain people here and he seems like a decent guy. Of course, I don't condone his cursing, but I think that that has some history behind it. In other words, I think that certain people here have been rubbing him the wrong way for some time now.

Back to your question, I'm wondering if there's any policy concerning reconciliation on this forum or if people who get banned are just forgotten as unimportant. I mean, even the man who was having sexual relations with his father's wife at Corinth was given a second chance when he repented. Is repentance an option here? By the way, I personally don't believe that the OP is the only one who needs to repent. In other words, quite a few members here could use a good sermon on repentance themselves in that they seem to be more interested in starting trouble than anything else and I'm not referring to the Moderators at all.

Thanks.

I'll inquire about the same later on today.

In fact, here is the full text of my PM to the OP from two weeks ago:

purgedconscience said:
I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. - Gandhi

I saw your comments on the heresies of the few thread and I'm sorry that you've been subjected to all of the obvious (except to those who are blinded to their true condition) hatred and pride that resides within the hearts of many here who fancy themselves to be the spiritual elite. Such types aren't true representatives of Christ, so please make the distinction between Christ Himself and those who falsely claim to be His followers so that your own quest for truth doesn't get derailed.

May the Lord Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you for Who He truly is.
The OP and I exchanged a few pm's after that and he seems like a decent, yet somewhat frustrated, guy. Quite frankly, I think that there's more hope for him than for some others around here who think themselves to be the judgment seat of Christ and, again, I'm not referring to the Moderators in the least, but instead to some forum members.

Indeed the Bible is not the Word of God.

Jesus is the Word of God according to The Holy Books.

this doesn't surprise me in the least, it is surprising how many preachers have never even read the bible all the way through, very few really preach the true Gospel (Gen, to Rev.) most pick and choose what fits their theology and then all but ignore the rest, the more this country departs from the principles taught in the word the worse it will get, just read the book of judges... if the Father brought judgments upon His chosen people in Israel, how much more so a country that he has blessed? people need to wake up and draw close to the great I AM and stop listening to the opinions of man instead of the truth, it been going on for a very long time and now if you do speak the truth most don't even recognize it...

I know the fellow who started this thread, been fb friends with him for a year or so...I didn't know that was his user name here on the forum...He gave me another good cussing on fb...He does seem to be having a challenge with his faith and I was wrong to assume his post was another attack on the Word of God and not hear him out. I intend to remember him in my prayers...hope others would also?

I'll stand with you in prayer for him. If you're still in contact with him on FB, then please tell him that I said hello. Thank you.

I believe the bible is the word of God, written by men inspired by the holy spirit. I just can't believe anyone would want to read any thing secular and then post it on a christian chat room.
Because the interpretation of the Bible is arbitrary?

I read this article today and it seems to me that a lot of people, including ministers, today feel this way or lean toward this type of belief. Once again someone trying to twist the Word of God to fit his/her own needs and wants.

Why the Bible Is Not the Word of God.
first of all, I think it is nonsense to say someone cannot read the Huffington Post

Should we all bury our heads in the sand?

Now that we are over that, I see that you disagree with what the article

The Bible and Christianity are under persecution around the entire globe including North America

Can you imagine? If the Bible is not really from God and directed by His Holy Spirit, if the writings are not inspired, if the 66 books are just a collection of men's writings and opinions, then we can basically re-create God...notice I said RE-CREATE GOD, into whatever is convenient for any one person at any given time

The devil would like nothing better and poor sad Christians have fallen for this deception in droves it seems...no spritual armor on and have become humanist in their teachings and have left truth by the wayside

Hey bro, just wanted to know why you were posting a non Christian news story from a known site that is hostile to Christians as a topic? It appears you are the orifice mentioned

I don't know what he wrote cause it seems a mod censored it....so why do you think you can throw it back at him?

I'm not taking sides, but hey, where's the other cheek?

This site would be so much better if people would read with their eyes open and their mouths closed

The guy who wrote the article linked below is a nut.

Notice that he is involved with Vipassana, some type of Buddhist contemplative practice. He is also a fire walker. :D

If I were you, I wouldn't pick up my theology from nuts. It's not recommended. :)
Oh my lands!!!

He DOESN'T AGREE WITH THE ARTICLE!!!!!!

It's hardly suprising though, christendom as a whole is divided, i can see why secularists laugh at christianity and what it teaches from the bible simply because it is all over the place, there are so many different interpretations of the bible.

oh cheese whiz...I hadn't noticed the poor guy was banned

I think there should be a queue at the next available optician

people really need to quit the knee jerk reactions...I think some folk are getting kicked in the eye

My 2 bits:

If y'all cannot take reading about what others state about YOUR beliefs, then you are in the wrong business

Grow some skin...and you know I love y'all

Maybe some people are a bit trigger-happy. But he was banned for being abusive and rude, not for having contrary beliefs (you have seen all of the false teachings still flying around CC, yes?)
