I'd encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 1:10-17. I believe you're badly misinterpreting and misapplying Jesus' words.
Forgive me for stepping out on a limb, but I wonder what god he's talking about. Maybe even refer him back my last thread.

John 7:
41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

43 So there was a division among the people because of him.

John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

John 10:
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

Yeshua's spoken words are our verses to which we agree/disagree with. And these spoken WORDS back then, bring the same Division today when viewing what Yeshua said.

And we know Paul claimed to be guided by Yeshua, so his words under the influence of Yeshua probably also brought Division, like Paul's teachings on the Gift of Tongues. Now, that is some Division right there, just over the Gift of Tongues. We have 5 active threads over Tongues. That is how divided it is!!
The division is between those who believe and those who don't. It's another god who wants to divide the saved.

I don't know where you're getting your theology but I'd run, not walk, to the nearest exit.

There's only one reason we don't agree on everything ... because SATAN has muddied the waters. Our DNA is tainted. Our environment is tainted. Our society is tainted. All of fallen creation is tainted. See thru the glass darkly is an understatement. At this point we can't even see the glass because it's covered in a thick layer of mud.

My position is, the bigger the controversy, the more likely satan's involved. Which means there's a God's-Honest truth he's trying to bury.

And we are not immune to it. satan sways us. Even in fervent prayer and study.

Which brings me to my next thread...

And again I say, you read the BDF's..?
Lol yea bro I do. And this is my observation, and my conclusion: indoctrination. False doctrine, manmade doctrine, false teachings, or one sided beliefs can make a person indoctrinated and unyielding to biblical truth and insight.

Calvanism, armenianism, pentecostal oneness, charismatic tounges, once saved always saved, catholisism, works based faith, word of faith, prosperity gospel, feminist movement in the church body, all sins under grace including adultery and homosexuals etc, yada yada yada list goes on.

How bout some uncut undocternated bible. Along with the Holy Ghost to lead the way to all truth found in scripture. I know one thing is for sure, the elect cannot be lead astray. The Holy Spirit will let us know when something isnt adding up.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

But the problem is, like you did here, everyone assumes the OTHER guy is the one who will be tossing away faulty teachings. As long as you think you have a lock on the truth, are you teachable?
God is a spirit, the spirit of truth. When the truth comes, thou shall know it and toss away the idols that you have been taught since the beginning. Jesus describes this as light and those that follow him as being in the light, darkness can not overcome them. Those on the other side are in the dark yet they think they are in the light, "if darkness is their light, how dark is their darkness..", Jesus asked.

It is impossible to be in the light and not know it but it is very much possible to be in the dark and think you are in the light, the indicators being doubts and counter doctrines. Truth is nothing close to the popular doctrines that you've heard.

1 John 4:16....God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I'm i teachable? Yes

Thank You!!

On a serious note, someone I am dealing with who does not believe in our God brought much of this up to me one time. This thread kind of gave me an opportunity to add some things that to a non believer puts god in a bad light. Well, in a bad light to the unbeliever.

On a side note, I am amazed at just how many non believers have actually read the Bible cover to cover. In all seriousness, some non believers have read the Bible more than self professing believers. Why the non believer after reading the WORD never felt the tug of the Holy Spirit, since reading can open that venue, is beyond me. But it's still a shame, knowing that non believers know the WORD better than many actual believers.

Technically, the WORD of God makes this claim:

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Nowhere is the word Division FOUND ANYWHERE in scripture, to be in the same meaning, as the word Paul (under the guidance of Yeshua) used in verse 14:33 as confusion.

In fact, Division and confusion are so OPPOSITE in meaning, they CANNOT be put together and used as the SAME!!

And John (the Beloved disciple John), claimed THREE times Yeshua caused DIVISION, not confusion, but Division.

And Yeshua said, He brought Division, not confusion, but Division.

Technically, by you thinking Division and confusion and chaos are all the same meaning, means you are adding to what both Yeshua and John are saying here.

If was you, I would relearn my English so I would not be assuming that one word means what another word means, when in factuality, those words are the furthest apart in meaning and have no business grouped together!!

And, If you think that God does not want His Elect DIVIDED from the beliefs of non believers, then SEPARATING OURSELVES should be out of the question. And we know that God instructed us to SEPARATE OURSELVES!!

What is Separating Ourselves? Dividing, or as Yeshua put it, Division!!

Relearning English would be a great help to you!!

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;

Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Luke 12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

Luke 12:53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

John 7:43 So there was a division among the people because of him.

John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

John 10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

There are several scripture references of Division/Separating Ourselves that relate to Yahweh/Yeshua!!

Wrong.

Matt 5:46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

And insults get you on the ignore list.

Division brings chaos. Is God a God of chaos?

No? God is not a God of "chaos!" The "prince" of this current "world age", is however!

I know it "seems" to many, that God is a God of chaos, not only to you Ricky.
If one "thinks" more intimately concerning "the faith", yea, even the "called out ones from the world" aka "the church", one would see a "grander strategy" concerning the "seemingly chaotic" scenario that is being presented to the world.
That strategy being, in keeping His own, from becoming so "bunched up" in one place?
That 1 grenade WILL GET US ALL!
This "applies" physically, as well as spiritually!

As far as casualties? Unfortunately, these shall be many!
As Jesus stated: "Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied, cast demons, etc. in your name?"
Hebrews 4
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the DIVIDING ASUNDER OF SOUL AND SPIRIT, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
What Paul is more then implying here, is that these people have not lost salvation.
YET!?
After the Word of God, gets finished whittling away the "carnal man", along with that which is UNACCEPTABLE?
That, which is left?
Is not NARY AS MUCH, as "many" that have been deceived, beguiled, and/or DECEIVED THEMSELVES into "BELIEVING" themselves to be!

This? "in a nutshell", is the WHY the difference/s! :)

How is someone not loving someone by not accepting their pagan beliefs?

I still pray and love those who think Yahweh is just a myth. I just will never take their beliefs as my own. This is however a form of separating/dividing whether you agree or not!!

Love is not what you feel by yourself and therefore define yourself, it should be what the recipient feels. You have ferociously advocated for separation and barricading from those who don't have the same beliefs as you do. So how will they feel the love from you? when you pray for them?!

Do you even greet them?

Matt 5:46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

No, I made the case that throughout the Bible shows Division. And then I put like believers disagreeing is also a part of Division. But I do not see this as the work of the Devil, but steel sharpening steel in your walk in God.

You assumed that I meant what you thought it to be.

And I am not insulting you. Division, chaos, and confusion are nowhere close to being the same condition. I feel you should study and understand that!!

Spoken like someone who reads to respond, not to listen.

Of course I read to respond!
I listen to what I read, and respond!
You are thinking BDF is some kind of NON-interactive venue?
You want a venue, with non-interactivity?
Fire you up a podcast or something along those line, eh? :geek:
