I would not blame a witch for this downfall. God's power is well above all other powers. No one and nothing can snatch us out of His hand. So ... that said, I would guess that the congregation on the whole lacked the Holy Spirit in the first place.
Oh but I don't blame that woman that was a witch. I think she had even left by then because we first prayed a lot against those powers. But when the laziness and fighting came in and prayerlesness the devil could use everyone and destroy it.

At my workplace when I was first reborn I had a co-worker I chatted with on the bus. One day he shows me a book he was reading ... the satanic bible. I told him it was evil and that he should stop reading it. Well... long story short - he continued reading it. Being a new believer I was quite zealous, carrying my bible, reading it at lunch time, and basically sharing the gospel with whoever would listen. He didn't appreciate that. He was going one way and I was going the opposite way. One day while I was working I caught him giving me a dirty look and making strange hand gestures, while babbling something and I knew he was trying to curse me. It unsettled me for a brief moment but then the Lord reminded me that His power was greater than the devil's power and I was comforted and brushed that fellows nonsense away like the harmless thing it was.

Such things can have no power over the believer with the Holy Spirit and they will have no anxiety over it if they maintain their faith in Christ.

There was this video of Transformations where they started to pray and one witch did counter attacks and one day they prayed: Let her get saved or leave town and she was stripped of her power and left and the city had revival.
That was our idea too when we started that church there.

You describe two (of many) reasons I don't go to church ...

1) they often tolerate members who are deep in sin and unrepentant (adulterous, homosexual, witches etc) ... if they are unrepentant and without desire to change then they should be asked to leave. But ... tithes and fame you know?

2) Apathetic members who just warm the pews....often going to church on sundays for the social club. Lukewarm and about to be spit out of Jesus' mouth. Like those you mention that did not want to pray ... really?

How about white witches who fight demons like the charmed ones? Charmed was just a tv show but is there such things as good witches?
Dear Tinkerbell,

I think the main point is that a witch - even one who calls themself a good witch and means well, is still trying to use powers outside of Jesus. It's still in a way an attempt at stealing God's throne. Jesus said 'ask anything in my name and the Father will grant it to you' ... Anything beyond that is evil. Anything outside of Jesus is filthy in God's eyes.

Yes I did not understand why he went going on for so long.
The home group we have now is better. If someone wants to live in sin they leave automatically, can't stand the atmosphere and the preaching.

1Samuel 15:23 'For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou has rejected the word of God........'

That's bad enough, as we see with many rejecting His word, but witches have infiltrated the 'church'. As luciferian free masons and such. You'll know hem by their fruit, Matt. 7:16, and by spiritual discernment, 1John 4:1.

It's not really a question. I saw Derek Prince preaching about it on Facebook. He's in heaven, but he still preaches on Facebook.
He says that any time a person tries to dominate another it's a spirit of witchcraft.
Rebellion is witchcraft, Saul.
We once had a church with a lot of fights and people didn't want to pray. It wasn't growing. We went to a pastor's meeting. The guy that prayed for us said: I see a witch.
Now we had a real famous Dutch witch. As soon as we started the church, look who came and started her meetings in a building 100 meter from ours. That was not hard to see that she was a witch. Yet the spirit in oour church, eeww. That's what Derek Prince talks about, witchcraft in the church that works through believers.

Lol they said: she's in your neighbourhood. You have to get her saved. It didn't happen but I believe she will get saved.
Derek Prince said that? What irony. He must have changed. He used to be one of the leaders in the Shepherding Movement back in the '70's...a highly authoritative/controling group over the lives of others.

Hi ,

And if we do know them what difference does it make none as they are still belong to the The Most High , or maybe some people think they are not worth the time of day, did Jesus shun them , no.... and nore should we, why...... well are we as people any different again ...no... what they belive in or do does not effect us ,

as a ? would you make friends with them even if you knew , and what if you follow in The Most High foot steps would you be willing to follow and go where you are shown...

okay time for the flack jacket .

remember the church put to death many 100.s was that their right , or does it go back to control of other,s through any means ,

...noeleena...
meaning manipulative people...people who pray soulish prayers....it's in the Bible

you would need a flak jacket if you allowed this type of person to persuade you of things

We once were evangelizing on the street and we were talking to a real friendly man. Really, so friendly. The he said: did you know we curse people like you?
eehmmm okay
He was a satanist. He did listen. He would get in his house and felt like he drowned in the demonic atmosphere.
They can do nothing. One former satanist said when she saw a group of christians there was this huge Light around them.
yeah...I had my own personal encounter in University....Jesus protected me...their power is real and it will affect a Christian if said Christian is ignorant of their schemes

people just forget these are spiritual battles and they forget the unseen realm is the real one...the one where God exists...we have never seen God, but yet we say we believe in Him

why is it so difficult for some Christians to believe in spiritual things when they state they believe in God who IS Spirit?

well I've had an education...these things are real...but we emphasize Christ...not the evil powers...

yup

one church I attended, one man in attendance was a supposed converted mason...an older man..I was on the worship team and also did the worship myself when they had evening service ... anyway, at times a heaviness would come over the congregation...you could feel it..it was almost physical.

I remember the first time it happened...we had been praying and down it came...I remember jerking my head up and looking around...I was so alarmed...it happened several times that I recall and finally I spoke to the pastor about it...he was a really kind mind...sorry yet I know your opinion...but this man was genuine...anyway, he stated that folks were aware of the situation and had prayed and they did not know what to do about it. It was obviously a demonic presence.

Now the ex-mason man was present at that meeting as well and he said nothing.

This same man, one evening when the church had a meeting about something, was sitting in front of me. He turned around and his face was distorted and his eyes were full of hate. My friend sitting next to me, was shocked...she saw it too...she looked at me and asked if I had seen it...it was the demon manifesting and to this day I believe that the power that overcame the church was operating through this man.

Anyway, I moved and have not been back...the church at one time had been a center for worship and truly served God.

Folks can believe the story or not...some people will know what I am talking about

the icing on the cake, was that he was also on one of the worship teams..there were 2...he was controlling

Yup ... this reminds me of an experience I had during my time with the JW's ... I walked into the Kingdom Hall one day and this really old lady - long time member - wisp of a little thing came up to me and her face took on a strange look ... I thought I saw fangs ... and she said _"Don't worry dear ... we'll get you!" and she winked and smiled a terrible evil smile at me.

Needless to say they didn't "get me" ...

You failed to mention the one guy that has appointed himself to dominate and control. Why? This is weird. Been teaching on this forever and still few see it. Domination/preeminence exercised by anyone is condemned, not just an avowed witch or luciferian but anyone. See: Diotrephes in 3John. One day the light bulb is going to come on and the scales are going to fall from a few people's eyes. This is simply wild.

I'm just gonna say this...no one will ever be more attacked than those who know and see what is going on....the spirit knows them and they know the spirit

yeah that is how it is

you learn the hard way to believe that what the word says concerning these things is so

even so, don't concentrate on them...deal...keep in prayer...focus on Christ and pray for people and against what is not of God

most of us seem to have that reversed

have I arrived? do I do it all right? not at all...these things just go and try another tactic but they love to use the ones that already worked

PS: please let's not turn this into an anti-church leadership thread...

Dominating and control?
Because he said God told him we had to pray to get the city saved and because he was trying to disciple christians to do the work of the ministry and did outreach?
Right. He dominated. There was absolutely noone who cared what God or he said. Only thing I blamed him for was that he didn't just quit and find some people who wanted to do something.

Church leaders allow these spirits onto the assembly when they sell out to carnal and worldly desires. It's too easy for a witch to gain. Power in most churches..just give a little money and stroke the leaders egos .. the door is wide open for them then.

yeah well that is over simplified

many are in over their heads...what I know I learned the hard way

It could be very difficult for a pastor or elder to realize that the man or woman alongside of him is neck deep in a spirituality that is not of God...in fact, the person may very likely not know they are being used that way

it's called deception...Jesus warned us all about it many times and it is one of the biggest weapons used against it...remember that the WHOLE world is under the deception of the evil one...he is the god of this world

this world runs on 'systems'...run by world world powers run by...guess who...it's not flesh and blood...people go on and on about ISIS etc but ISIS is soaked in the mentality of evil straight from hell...you cannot kill this evil with guns...and please do not take that to mean we should sit on our hands and sing choruses...not at all...but prayer would go farther than a gun

the OT is a wonderful resource of testimony of how God goes before His people to fight for them...

anyway...so much could be said

How to know when a witch comes to church? So what? If she's a witch, she NEEDS to be there and we ought to be grateful she even showed up. A witch is living in sin just as we were before we committed our lives to Christ.
To discriminate against any sinner is against God's Word and is offensive to me. I used to be involved in witchcraft, fornication, lies, gossip, hate, thievery, etc. And you know what? SO DID YOU.
I see no reason why it would be important to know another persons sins unless they are harming someone. Then it would be revealed to me for the reason of getting the victim to safety or getting someone more qualified to help.
The point is: we are NOT to assume that Church is only for the forgiven. It is for everyone. Christ spent all of His time with sinners, to bring them to forgiveness and show them a Love they've never known. THAT is what we're supposed to do, NOT pick the witch out of the church goers while singing Amazing Grace.
Rant over. I'm done.

What do you mean? I was going to be a little sarcastic by saying 'the pointy hat, green skin warts and a tendency to cackle' but I feel you have a more serious question here, can you define the question a little?
You missed out the Broomstick and a tendency to call everyone ''Deary''
