Just like a parrot all you're doing is repeating a 400 year old English translation, and just like that parrot, you obviously don't understand what you are reading. Polly needs an English lesson.
Those verses are PLAIN and SIMPLE, why are you arguing AGAINST the word of God?

I don't get that one Magenta... all Sammy did was post bible verses.
Do you then disagree that Paul quite vehemently disagreed with being put back under the law? Since it is a law/commandment that is being thrown at us over and over and over again while no actual Scripture showing us this law exists in the first place has been given. Jesus gave us a new commandment, saying all the law was fulfilled in it. Do you also disagree with Jesus?

Are we to commit adultry or murder just because there is no law against it anymore?

The Noahide laws applying to all humanity say nothing about women being prohibited from teaching. For believers, in case we don't know how to love others, the ten commandments are excellent markers. Do you see anything there prohibiting a woman from teaching? I sure don't. Do the laws of your country now legally permit murder? Well, that is news to me.

this argument is so old and tiring.........folks just cherry pick the Verses they want to prove their view and ignore the rest of Scripture. As well, they provide NO CONTEXT to support their view.

Can argue all you want........but, sooner or later you gotta deal with ALL of Scripture......

Judges
4

1 .) And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.
2 .) And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
3 .) And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
4 .) And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
5 .) And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
6 .) And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
7 .) And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.
8 .) And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.
9 .) And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

Acts 18:24) And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 .) This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26 .) And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

John 4:28) The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 .) Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30 .) Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

39)
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 .) So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
41 .) And many more believed because of his own word;
42 .) And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Women who truly ARE in the Holy Word of God, and who God/Jesus USED for His purpose without regard for their BEING women............is it hard to kick against the pricks?

So what do you, just throw this verse in the trash? What justification does anyone have for tossing this out as not relevant? What makes it irrelevant?

1 Timothy 2:9, 11-15 KJV
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
[11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
[12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
[13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
[14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
[15] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Your verse applies to married people, unless you want to say the single women are being given permission to be promiscuous hoping to conceive and thereby be saved... and you did not answer my questions. Is it now legal in your country to commit murder? There were others. Do you disagree with Paul's vehemence against being put back under the law? He taught extensively on that, having far more to say on that subject, it would seem, than telling women how they should dress and how they should defer to their HUSBANDS. Oh, by the way, do you wear a robe like they did 2,000 years ago?

Actually, you only posted the Verses where Paul said HE would rather not have the WOMEN in Corinth TEACHIN/HAVING AUTHORITY over the men there...........

Big difference since Paul wrote in TWO very distinct styles........just saying........and Paul NEVER CRITICIZED Priscilla for her INSTRUCTING/TEACHING men in the Church that was in her home.......hmm............???

Paul PRAISED Priscilla for her WORK to spread the Gospel of Christ. hmm........???

I didn't even want to get involved in this thread because I care about people on the other side of this argument, but the blatant DISREGARD of scripture brought me in to it.

Priscilla and Phoebe, Phoebe even being called a deacon, no, it makes no difference, It has by now all been gone over at least once, many of us giving views in context of what was actually written compared against translations from the Greek, when sinful men changed the words, oh my, no no no, they cannot admit that men made any type of error or deliberately changed a word in Scripture translations, though there are plenty of proofs to show errors and differences occurred. The work has been done for those with eyes to see, to see. Thank you for your contributions, though they don't care.

David a man after God's own heart committed ADULTRY and MURDERED a man... do we use the fact that he was a man of of God to PROVE that it's perfectly fine with God for a Christian to fornicate and commit murder?

Don't drag Deborah into this, stick with the plain and simple verses that CLEARLY prohibit a woman from teaching and usurping authority over the man. Deborah being a judge does absolutely nothing to CONTRADICT Paul's teaching.

He was.......however, to deny that he (at times) gave HIS OPINION on what would be the BEST WAY to live a trouble free life is to DENY his teachings altogether.

Care to address HIS OPINION about men and women and their adornment? Where he said NATURE ITSELF teaches that for a man to have long hair/be adorned was not right? Care to delve into Nature to see his opinion was not in keeping with Gods creations? Uh, er, one example.......the LION? And, as for adornment, is it not GODS created way to have the MALE of the Species be the most beautifully adorned in almost all instances?

Paul wrote in two distinct styles.........

Thus sayeth the Lord

and

It would be better that/I would rather that..........

to deny this, is to simply be ignorant of Scriptures and the teachings of Paul.........CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING.

Those verses are PLAIN and SIMPLE, why are you arguing AGAINST the word of God?
Why are you trying to obfuscate and equivocate about the truth of God's word? If you are KJVO then you've got a bigger problem than women being pastors. But, to answer your question I am not against the word of God I am against people who fallaciously assert positions that the word of God doesn't and are you really saying that this was just nothing more than quoting scripture and he didn't have an agenda behind it? I may have some beach front property in Arizona to sell you.

Is this Paul's opinion or the inspired word of God?

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 KJV
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[34] Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
[35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
