simple question...what is the work for the faith that saves you....men and brethren what shall we do????...is it just believe???
James 1:27 (KJV) Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

maybe you misunderstood the question....after the gospel is preached a group of people comes up to you and say....we believe the word.....what must we do to be saved? According to some people...they believe so they are already saved...the scripture does not teach that...we can go to Acts 2 and see for ourselves what Peter said to those who believed and asked the question....If it is the same God we serve then the same condition applies....

why are you ignoring the question? is it because you know I am right.

Again, show me how a person who diobeys his father in everything has faith in his father, where is his faith at? He heard the word of his father, and faith comes by hearing, yet he ignores everything his father asks or tells his to do . where is his faith?

you are implying works is not required...
What works. what is the list? what is the cut off of enough works, and not enough works? are you saying you do not know?

now you are saying you must have works...
No. I am not saying that at all. I am asking you how a person can have faith in someone, yet diobey and ignore everything he says, where is his faith?

here you are saying one is saved by faith without works and after they are saved faith produces works

No. I am saying like paul said we are saved by faith, Whoever has faith (trusts God) will do what God says.

so no works are required with faith....yet you say faith without works is dead....

so faith requires works/obedience

No. I am saying like paul said we are saved by faith, Whoever has faith (trusts God) will do what God says.
Paul never said that...He said we are saved by grace through faith....and he said ...repent and be baptised for the remission of sins....

Your spinning in circles.

Where is the list? what works. your the one who claims work is REQUIRED

so faith requires works/obedience
there you go spinning again. WHy do you refuse to answer a simple question?

Paul never said that...He said we are saved by grace through faith....and he said ...repent and be baptised for the remission of sins....
um. Paul did not say the second. Paul said call on the name of the lord and you will be saved. And yes, he said we are saved by grace (mercy) through faith. SO whats your point?

again, do you have faith in someone if you do not do a thing they say? Or are you a liar and have no faith at all. You keep ignoring the question! Scared?

having faith in something means nothing until you do something....faith comes by hearing the word of God....if what you say is true then all who hear has faith and will do ...the gospel will be preached to all men...do you see all men doing the works of God???

all babel here. No meat.

And you still refuse to answer questions. I can only assume you are scared to. thats why you do not.

Having faith in something is the powere which CAUSES you to do something. But you will never get it, because you have no idea what faith is. Your blinded to the truth, proven by your refusal to answer questions. You do not even have any faith in your belief. If you did, you would answer with no hesitation and not just go in circles.

the scripture teaches faith without works is dead....if faith causes then why would James say faith without works is dead.....it is you who have to do the work...if it causes you then it is not obedience but force....

IT IS DEAD, IT DOES NOT EXIST.

THE REASON THERE IS NO WORK, IS BECAUSE THEIR IS NO FAITH. IT IS DEAD.

Now. are you going to answer my questions? or keep spinning things?

Let me know. I can add you to the ignore list with your brother sea bass. I am sick of asking questions and having them ignored. then being told i am wrong with no proof.

Gotta chime in with gratefull on this one.
Works - yes they must be present... but they stem from faith, not otherwise... the more and stronger we believe God the better fruits we will produce so the focus in on Him not on us, Jesus said abide in Me to bear fruit, by so many threads about this, one would say that it works the other way round for some people??? I shudder seeing that many young Christians learn this way, as I did in the past and knew no peace, instead of the gentle yoke of Christ. We receive salvation by faith, what causes us to switch to works halfway? Jesus could cast demons out and set people free not because they worked for it but because they believed. The same goes for any addiction and bad habit one might have. Our faith is the requirement and the green light for GOD to do HIS mighty WORK through us and CHANGE us.

And here is the answer to what you asked:
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Amen, Faith is the power, as we trust God in all he says, In doing this, we abide in him, and more importantly, him in us, which empowers us to do the things he wants us to do.
