Nope, my "fault" is that I read it all and believe it all--your "faultlessness" is that you believe just one sliver of it, over in chapter 3/4, and you deny the rest of it. Wish I could be faultless like you, but, woe is me, I believe it all.

Romans 2
6who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For there is no partiality with God.
12For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
So then, Salvation BY FAITH, and not by WORKS is a lie according to you??

You gave me an incorrect interpretation of it, which demonstrates you IGNORANCE of the book.
Sure, but it can also be horrendously BAD!!! Religion is what murdered Jesus.
1. We disagree on James 2--we could go further into it.
I think you claim it refers to true and false faith, but, in his comparison, he never mentions a "mannequin", only a complete body (with its spirit--living), and an incomplete body (without its spirit--dead), so there is no "false" faith being discussed. He already knows they have true faith--that's the reason he can say they are "Adulteresses" against "God" (Ja 4).
2. Yeah, but you said "all you have is religion", and that was too generalized, on your part, especially because in our culture "religion" is used as a negative.

Nope, they're both true.

The issue is you don't understand the Biblical definition or dimensions of "Salvation".
Paul says our salvation was typed and shadowed by the Jews' salvation from slavery in Egypt--but after being saved by the blood of lambs, being baptized into Moses, and "eating communion", they sinned and fell under God's wrath and forfeited the promise. These things were written for us, Paul says, and so he guided his life by them, making sure to make his body his slave, and not let it get out of control, and turn his spirit into its slave (1 Co 9:27-1 Co 10).

Since you don't unstant James, it would be a waste of time.

Which it often is. It didn't get its BAD REPUTATION by accident, after all. It was the SAME in the Jewish culture, as Jesus observed: "you bind heavy burdens on people, but you won';t even touch them yourselves". Mat 23:2-5
