Revelation 8:11 “And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Deuteronomy 29:18 “Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;”

Proverbs 5:3-4 “
For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But her end is
bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.”

Jeremiah 9:15 “Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.”

Jeremiah 23:15 “Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.”

Lamentations 3:15 “He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.”

Lamentations 3:19 “Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.”

Amos 5:7 “Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,”

Deuteronomy 32:32-33 “For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of
gall, their clusters are bitter:
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.”

Words are like water, both sweet and
bitter.

Psalm 64:3 “Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:”

Romans 3:13-14 “Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used
deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:”

Ephesians 4:31 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:”

James 3:11-14 “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and
bitter?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.[SUP]13 [/SUP]Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.[SUP]14 [/SUP]But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.”

Hebrews 12:15 “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”

Kind of refreshing reading someone see symbolism in Revelation instead of a literal star selectively fouling 33% of the Earth's waters.

Gonna wait to see the literal Sun, Moon, and Stars go black, too? Well, look quick, because we would all be solid chunks of ice within a matter of a second, or so, if that was to literally happen... and then we would have nothing further to worry about anyway. All the rest of the book wouldn't matter to us.

Notice how death is removed from the waters...

2 Kings 2:19-21[SUP]19 [/SUP]And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

The salt healed the waters....

Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Check this one out, again removing the death....

2 Kings 4:38-41[SUP]38 [/SUP]And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

[SUP]41 [/SUP]But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot."

The meal healed the pottage...

Matthew 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. :)

In the story of the Exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt we read in Exodus 15:22-23 that after Moses brought the children of Israel from the Red Sea, and were 3 days journey in the wilderness they found no water. And they came to a place called Marah, but could not drink the waters because they were bitter.

But after Moses cried unto the Lord, the Lord then told Moses what to do to make the
bitter waters sweet.
Exodus 15:25;”And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,”

I believe this Tree that was cast into the waters to make them sweet is a similitude of the Tree of Life, which also speaks of the Word of Life, just as God’s words are sweet.
Psalm 119:103;”How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”

So if God’s Word is a sweet blessing the opposite could be said of
bitter words as in a curse. And we see this here James 3:10-11;”
Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?”

Waters of Life, trees of healing....

Ezekiel 47:1-1247 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Revelation 22:1-3

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
It could be in reference to magic spells using the practical kabbalah, you have the Tree of Life and Death of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
The fruit is in reference to the sephira (or sephiroth {thats plural})

Was there any point in me posting this?
No.....not really.......

According to the Law, wormwood is the herb used to test and judge an adulterous woman.

If she had not committed adultery, when she drinks it she will be fine, then she will be known to her husband as pure.

If she had committed adultery, when she drinks it she will get swollen, then it will be known that she had committed adultery, and will never be cured and never bear children again.

This test and judgement will come upon the whole earth. Those who are not apostate have nothing to fear, as the test will display our purity in Christ.

Ah, someone who pays attention, very good. Which could also be why the words of God were sweet to the mouth, but later became bitter in the belly.
