Well, look quick, because we would all be solid chunks of ice within a matter of a second, or so, if that was to literally happen... and then we would have nothing further to worry about anyway. Truthfully, there's nothing too wrong with waiting to see some show.... except if doing so puts you in mind not to treat life and the advancing of the kingdom as things we and our offspring, for perhaps, thousands of generations more, are to continue doing daily.

There was a blessing and a curse mentioned by Moses, a blessing would come to those who follow Gods words, and a curse to those who would turn away. So if your first love was the Lord, then falling away would bring bitterness.

Revelation 2:4
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

for sure.
this book is full of symbolic language, and i can see many possibilities for these prophesies coming about symbolically, but it also says many things that seem to be quite literal.
there are examples throughout the OT books of the prophets for both, things that literally came to pass but sounded fantastic at the time, and things that were spoken like parables and came to pass in a way that wasn't expected, but was clear after they occurred.

i hesitate to toss out literalism just because it seems extraordinary, that's all

The judgment on the thirds was shown in Ezekiel and apply to Israel, but...there will be literal signs in the heavens as prophesied....6th seal being the biggy.

We do "face tests and trials of many kinds", and that is a Biblical fact.
There is a such thing as "apostasy".
If we are in Christ, then we have no fear of tests or trials, because we have been promised not to be tested beyond our ability, and because these sufferings are for our own glory,
and our glory brings glory to Christ because we are His Body.


I believe the test of wormwood is focused more at those who claim to be God's People, but are actually fakers: like the RRC, Islam, and Judaism. They read the Book written by God, yet reject the Truth contained in it in favor of another god. They claim to be the Bride, but they are merely a harlot.

I'm also not saying "all in the RRC are not true Christians", because many are. I'm talking about those in leadership that spread the lies and heresies. According to Paul, we should rejoice when Christ is preached, regardless of the preachers motive,
as Christ is who saves, not doctrines. And hearing the Word brings faith to the elect.

We are made righteous through faith in Christ, because we are all tainted with sin.

Ah just read the "being a test of true Christians" comment.

But I still disagree. God knows whats in your heart, and whats in your every thought. I cant imagine Hed test you on what He already knows.

If you are faithful in Christ, you are already saved. We are never told we will be tested on whether or not we are faithful.

This is my interpretation of this verse.

In this verse I see a great star, blazing like torch which fell from the sky.

I understand that this star is a moving star because it fell from the sky and towards our fresh water supply. It fell into our water reservoirs or lakes. I also see that this star is either an asteroid or a comet.

I understand that this asteroid/comet made the water supply bitter and it killed many people. I see that this asteroid/comet made the water poisonous (bitter).

Now, Wormwood is actually a poison.

Thujone is a potentially poisonous chemical found in wormwood. Distilling wormwood in alcohol increases the thujone concentration.

Thus, I now know why this asteroid/comet is named Wormwood because it is very poisonous.

Now, in the process of elimination, I found that comets and not asteroids, have abundant Cyanide in them according to NASA's findings.

So, if you put all these clues together, Revelation is actually telling us that on the third trumpet, a comet will hit the Earth's fresh water supply. It will explode and break up when it enters our atmosphere and all these broken fragments will then poison the Earth's fresh water supply with Cyanide! Many people who drank from it will die because it made the water toxic.
