I dont have a born again birth date , those that do are blessed. . Grew up in a Christian home . I well remember as a child asking jesus to come into my heart Had a few years in teenage rebellion as a lot of preachers kids do. . At one point i was sorta watching Billy Graham on TV he was introducing Nicky Cruz at the same time i was reading Cross and the Switchblade and Nicky Cruz was being introduced in the book.. I said OK God if You can slap me up side the head like this i get it...

As for Judaism being antichrist....
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2Jn 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
growing up in a Christian home doesn't save a person. WE are born in sin and need to be saved and place our trust in Christ. Having a Christian mother and father does not save a person no more than having a father for a pastor.

the one who is antichrist is one who denies that Jesus did not come or died and rose again many people in Judaism believe Jesus lived and walked the earth. many of them also believe he rose gain but do not accept him as their Christ.

Thanks for responding. I also accepted Jesus as a child. You didn't express that in your profile and your answer seemed vague so I wanted to understand better what you were saying.

I read the Cross and the Switchblade years back too. A great book!

John is not calling his Jewish countrymen antichrists. He is speaking of actual people causing problems in the burgeoning congregations of believers. John was writing to the churches regarding the infiltration of false prophets who were denying Christ and the reference to the spirit of antichrist is to them.

You might find the following helpful:

1 John
The First Letter of John was apparently addressed to a group of churches where “false prophets,” denounced as Antichrist, denied the Incarnation of Jesus and caused a secession so substantial that the orthodox remnant was sadly depleted. The faithful were deeply disturbed that the heresy found favour among pagans, and they apparently felt inferior because those who had left their midst claimed to have profound mystical experiences. The heretics asserted that they possessed perfection, were “born of God,” and were without sin. By placing themselves above the Commandments, they in fact sanctioned moral laxity. John’s letter thus urges the Christian community to hold fast to what they had been taught and to repudiate heretical teachings. Christians are exhorted to persevere in leading a moral life, which meant imitating Christ by keeping the Commandments, especially that of loving one another. The spirit of the letter closely parallels that of the Gospel According to John.

2 John
The second and third letters are closely akin to the first in language and ideas. The Second Letter of John exhorts a church, fancifully called “the elect lady and her children,” to boycott the docetic heretics (combated in 1 John), who deny the reality of the Incarnation. In 2 John, as in the Gospel According to John and 1 John, the light–darkness images are similar to those of the Dead Sea Scrolls. To “walk in the truth” is to reject heresy and follow the doctrine of Christ.

3 John
The Third Letter of John is addressed to a certain Gaius and complains that “Diotrephes, who lies to put himself first, does not acknowledge my authority”—a hint that gnostic teachings were severely disrupting the community. The writer is concerned about and has responsibility as presbyter for the missionaries of the church. It is somewhat of a short note concerned with church discipline, encouraging hospitality to true missionaries, and thus is not unconnected with true doctrine and the command of love.

The above is a very brief description and you can find lots more if you do a search on google or whatever search engine you use. This is from the following Letters of John | Summary

I never said growing up in a Christian home saved me or any one . I well know we are born in sin. Daddy being a pastor did not save me. I was just giving some background. Are you always this critical ? I am saved by the Grace of Jesus the Christ.

Judaism denies He is The Christ

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Please note i am speaking of the religion knowing not all folks of Jewish blood adhere to Judaism.

More Israeli Jews have come to Messiah in the past 20 years than in the preceding 2,000. There are about 30,000 Messianic Jews in Israel, as of a few years ago. The numbers of orthodox Jews that have accepted Jesus is unknown.

no, they are not. They are expecting Christ to still come they do not accept Jesus as the Christ. If you ever witness to them you will know this.

Anyone who rejects Christ as Savior...is antichrist. (period)

If you are trying to justify...kind of saved....you didn't make it.
There is no such animal.

Best of that is being ...kinda warm....and God says He will spew you out of His mouth. Not a sign of acceptance.

The OT is very important can we get back to it...I am getting feelings that a lot of good folks are being ripped. We should play a part of getting information to them.

Judaism is antichrist
Dear Beckie,
Please clarify your statement because Christ became flesh and blood and HE was born of a virgin of the seed of King David
who was of the Tribe of Judah.

Peace

I DO NOT agree with Beckie as she is in error unless she is speaking of the words of the Jewish Apostle John.

Who is the liar, except the one denying that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:22

i live in a Jewish community and know the Chabad rabbi who we just had shabbat dinner with recently.

They are lovely people - but they are antichrist for the very reason that Apostle John stated.
They also follow a dead antichrist who is called the 'Rambam' = Moshe ben Maimon.

This Rambam/Moshe changed the Torah to prevent Jews from seeing their Messiah.

The nation of Israel is in peril for they will soon embrace the Antichrist.

Which is why many are coming to Christ now.

You give 'One for Israel' as your source for a great influx of Israeli Jews coming to Messiah, I assume you mean Jesus. And then you post a video as your source. I watched the video and it mentioned nothing about a great influx of Israeli Jews turning to Messiah. Do you have a source for 30,000 Messianic Jews in Israel or not. I've searched the web and can find no info about what you are claiming. If you have a source please post it. If you don't have a source, then don't post it. TIA

You choose a commentary i choose Scripture .
That's just flinging mud from your own supply. It was not a commentary. It is simply a synopsis or very brief explanation of what those books are about.

Accusatory responses such as the one you gave me, are an attempt to shut down another person so you do not have to deal with them. I was not rude to you nor did I accuse you of anything. There was no need to respond as you did.

You do not know a thing about what I choose or do not choose but I chose to answer you and I went out of my way to try and show you what John was writing about and to whom he wrote what he did. It is false of you to state I choose a commentary and not the Bible and I would hope you consider answering people with a little more thought and consider that you might be speaking to people who actually know far more than you do and only wish to help out a little.

Bible (so called scholars ) have used the term antichrist to mean other than the definition the Scriptures lays out many do not see/know what the Scriptural definition is. God lays it out very clear in the 'little' Books of John.

I full well know Paul John etc were Jewish men. They embraced the Messiah . While sorta on the subject of Jewish Blood who were Rahab and Ruth?

1Jn_2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

The muslims will tell ya Jesus was a person but like Judaism they do not believe He is the Messiah . Having laid out why i believe what i do no one is obligated to agree. Maybe you and others understand the Words from the book of John to be John's Words to my understanding those are God's Word.

Who wrote the synopsis? I did not mean my words to be muddy just direct.

Amen - and the Great Great Great Great Grandmother of Jesus was indeed the Gentile Rahab as well as Ruth the Moabitess.

"For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God."
