Some people never celebrate brithdays, which is sad, they dont even know who their father is, and their mum doesnt even want to know that they were born. I know of children who dont even know they have a day as their birthday. No birth certificate, nothing.

Thank goodness in the Bible, we are taught to number our days. Psalm 90:12 And that, the circumstances of Jesus birth are told every year. As for gifts, that is good to give gifts to children who are unable to give, but will happily receive.

You might not want to celebrate your birthday, but when you were born I bet your parents celebrated your birthday...ive just been to see a newborn and his mother said to me why people congratulate her because childbirth is PAINFUL! Can you imagine how painful labour is to go through and when its finally over the miracle of birth? So thank God you are still alive for another year!

when you have to make a point to tell others you have a high intellect and IQ its usually a sign of low intellect. those with higher intelligence let the knowledge speak for them. Jesus didnt tell people He could walk on water, He actually went out and walked on water.

Isn't it just wonderful how some folk can find scripture and put some connotation on it that they think proves the argument? I am not going to explain Psalm 90:12 to you, as you went on to say that this proved that one should give gifts to Children, thus Justifying Xmas???? Ya' Got me, but give the wine a bit of a rest, it is a long way to new year.

Does the bible scripture at Ecclesiastic 7:1 have any serious meaning for you in this wicked world? Probably not!!!!

Let's say: It isn't your birthday, but some other people want this time of the year to celebrate a birthday that didn't happen. Now not only is it not your birth date, you, as you grow up, don't celebrate your birthday anyway and have never in your 33 years of life, but the others demand that you do so that they can have family feasts that usually the mother of the family slaves, saves and labours over, cleaning up the scraps after the event. And what an event; families that are a bit disconnected get to bring up old arguments in their cups, even to the point of physical violence.

You look upon your birthday celebration as a big waste of time, and not about your ethics at all, but next year, when the money moguls get the tinsel out, your birthday will be used as an excuse for the damage done.

Don't think that the money, alone, wasted could be put to better use? Don't you think that the kids, when they find out there is no Santa, start to believe that it is all right to lie? Don't you think that seeing the family argue over who got the best present and why is distressing?

I bet you do when the last stubbie falls and you regret the argument you had with your least often seen relative...I bet you do.

I laugh, as it never happens to me.
Never happens to me either. Because our family get togethers don't happen like that.
You talk as if this defines all christmas family get togethers, when many also have wonderful days.
You make your point as if you're talking down to everyone who isn't as smart as you for not seeing this, which is everyone.
You suggest you're laughing at people for being so foolish and build yourself up for being too good for such a thing.
Whatever your personal family issues are don't spread that to everyone else. Your experiences don't reflect those of everyone else.

There are many millions of people in the world who do not celebrate Xmas, some because of religious beliefs, some because they don't have the money and are only concerned with getting a mouthful of food into the mouth of a one-year-old child who weighs ounces, not pounds or kilos. That child and mother are not aware of you, you who have been are filling your internal intestines with enough food to supply their family for the next six months, nor are you. It is Xmas, it is time for you to indulge in Bacchanalian feasts, and gift giving that will torment you when the credit card stops smouldering and you make promises to leave Aunty Nell off your gift list while you whine about the poorly priced present she gave you. You do not consider that Aunty Nell has just gone through a severe medical process that cost thousands of dollars..She was so mean to not keep some money for you, Hey? But that's your Xmas.

Why do we need one day a year to remember our mother and father? why do we need one day a year to remember Jesus? why is it necessary to spend the life out of a small budget to appease the God of 'filthy lucre?

Get real folks, Jesus, and our precious, loving God must not have to be remembered, they should be in our minds every year, every day and every minute of our lives.

How about you sanctimonious Christians hopefuls tell me your version of the Bible and how you can support that interpretation.

Can you tell me how it is Christian to take part in a rite that is overly supplied with Pagan ritual and apply this to Jesus, the one who died for our sins and condemned such pagan association? Oh! I know, just stick your head in the sand...Silly me!

My personal philosophy is not based on racism nor is it based on religious differences, I have enough knowledge to know why there are around 44,000 different so-called Christian religions in the world, given the fact that there is only one truth.

God did not create man to be governed by borders, we are all citizens of the world, and some of those citizens do things that I do not approve of, that is my right it is not racism.

The truth on any subject can be very well concealed to the minds of mankind, more so the Truth of God's Word, which if you take it this way would make some sense to the sensible.
If you wished to hide the tree of truth, what would be the best way to accomplish that little trick? How about this: Build a forest around the tree of the truth, and that is what Satan has done in his hopeless effort to prove his supremacy over our most powerful God.

Ecclesiastes was written by Solomon who was a very wise, yet jaded old man. There is nothing wrong with celebrating Jesus birth...as the angels did when they sang and proclaimed it to the shepherds.

But its not the end of the story only the beginning.

Your problem is, you cant see from the point of view of a child. Jesus said you cant enter the kingdom unless you come as a little child. Matthew 18:3

No, his problem is he came over here from Debate.Org to do just what he is doing.

Argue against Christians. In that way honing his skills, and gathering information on how best to argue against Christians. Once he has had his fill, or Admin sends him packing, he will return to Debate.Org.

He even created a fake Profile Page there in order to join here.................imagine that.......

:)

Type his Screen Name into your search engine and take a look for yourselves.

If Christmas observance is such an important part of Christianity it seems a bit odd that scripture is silent with regard to anyone observing it - other than the shepards at the first one.

Santa has nothing to do with Christmas. You can celebrate Christmas without a santa, thats what I do.

Im growing weary of everything Christian being under attack constantly. Everything has to change, we know better now than our parents and grand parents did.

WHY cant we celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ being born on this day? Why does it have to be the EXACT date of His birth, which NOBODY knows?
What is sinful about celebrating the birth of Jesus? DUring this time people hear the Gospel the MOST, despite all the hogwash attached to Christmas nowadays.

Does Christmas have some pagans roots? Sure. We all know about it and we've heard about it a million and one times. But to be truthful, even our calendar is "pagan". Thursday = Thor's day. Friday = Freya's day. etc. Lets stop using the calendar? Its pagan after all. You have to draw the line somewhere reasonable. Im not saying we should celebrate pagan mid-summer festivals or winter solstices or go to some wiccan witch celebrations of course not.
What I am saying is: Christmas has been for a long time a Christian celebration of the Lord Jesus Christ's birth and LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY. Dont let the devil steal this holiday.

Nobody is forcing anyone to celebrate anything. We are FREE in regards to holidays (Colossians 2:16)

The difference is our side, is never condemning anyone for celebrating or NOT celebrating Christmas. It is the opposing side, usually the hebrew roots side which is condemning people for celebrating Christmas. And that is the problem!
