Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?
1Kings 9:6 “But if you or your descendants turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 7 then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 8 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ 9 People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’”
It is of God that we scoff at the apostasy, at those who have forsaken the Lord their God, at those who embrace other gods. Enough with the "bless me" club and the "prosperity gospel". It is time to scoff at them, have them become a byword and an object of ridicule. When they said that preaching the gospel was obnoxious, when they forbid prayer in schools, when they wanted abortions to be legal and paid for with tax dollars, when they said the Bible was out of date, when they did all of these things they opened the door and invited scorn to be heaped on their heads.
1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth; But the righteous are bold as a lion.
This is why two can chase ten thousand, we have the blood of Jesus. Why is it that Jesus said “forgive them for they know not what they do”? Surely some of them did know what they did. It is because those that didn’t know what they did will confess and repent when they get the light. This is why we have whistleblowers, they see the light, they see what they have done, they repent. But the wicked do not repent, they know what they have done, they hate the light. Shine the light and they will flee.
2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; But by men of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
I find it amazing how confident, even how boastful our leaders are when they are running for office telling us they will squash this pandemic, or that any president who has this many die while he is in charge should resign, or elect me and I’ll end the human rights abuses at the border. We heard all of this and then a year later where are they? Where is the accountability? A year ago there was nothing they couldn’t do, no one they couldn’t condemn, and now a year later it is “has anyone seen the president?” “Who is in charge?” “Where did everyone go?”
3 A needy man that oppresseth the poor Is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
What a great expression, “a needy man”. Our government is a needy man. All you ever hear day after day from them is how they need this and they need that. However, every so often we get an administration that is both needy and oppresseth the poor. Inflation oppresseth the poor. Think about this last year, this “needy man” needed trillions of dollars in stimulus because of the pandemic and they swept through the land with this rain. Yet once the rain had swept through was there any food left behind? Unemployment is high, inflation is taking off, and the situation for the poor is much worse than it was a year ago.
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked; But such as keep the law contend with them.
Many people are confused by this. It is a topsy turvy world in which good is evil and evil is good. This is because the leaders have forsaken the law. They are all narcissists, so if they are adulterers then adulterers are good and the faithful are evil. Everyone can see how evil are the things being taught in some schools, pornography for elementary school kids, teaching kids to hate one another and judge others by the color of their skin, and yet they want to call the parents who protest “domestic terrorists”. They praise people like Jussie Smollett, when you see that know that they have forsaken the law. But consider the ones who contend with them, that is evidence that they keep the law. Jesus said that keeping the law was evidence that you love the Lord. We love the Lord, we keep His commandments and guess what, as a result we contend with those who forsake the law. We know that the tribulation will begin when the restrainer steps aside, the Holy Spirit who is restraining sin and the flesh. However, it is those who love the Lord, keep His commandments and contend with the wicked who are one with the Holy Spirit in restraining the wicked. It is the rapture when these ones are taken away that unleashes the floodgates for the tribulation.
5 Evil men understand not justice; But they that seek Jehovah understand all things.
I used to think that the Supreme court justices were some of the wisest people on earth understanding all things, able to discern right and wrong. But then I heard Sonya Sotamayer say that there are many zombie babies who respond to stimulus and don’t actually feel pain and that 100,000 kids were in the ICU on ventilators due to Covid when there are only a handful on ventilators and about 5,000 in the hospital. Since then I have come to realize that evil men do not understand justice. They attacked Kavanaugh for an alleged attack on a woman in high school and yet when they have multiple witnesses against Biden or Cuomo they are silent. These are evil men, they don’t understand justice. However, if you apply yourself to seek the Lord you will understand justice and even understand all things.
Recognizing Evil men
They flee when no one pursues them. Think of Macbeth’s wife. In contrast the righteous will take on huge odds, 100:1, even 1,000:1 because they know they are right.
They will tell you whatever you want to hear when they are trying to make a sale, but when it comes time to be accountable they disappear and are nowhere to be found.
They are needy, talking about everything they need and yet they take what they need from the poor, from those who are far needier than they are.
They praise the wicked, the call good evil and evil good, and when you dig down on this you learn it wasn’t a mistake, it is because they have forsaken the law.
They do not understand justice. When you finally hear them out on a weighty matter concerning justice you discover they are complete morons.
6 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, Than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
The key word here is “better”. He isn’t saying that we should all aspire to being poor. Rather he is saying that all the money in the world does not make up for someone who is perverse in his ways. When you show up at the judgment seat of Christ it is far better to show up poor but having walked in integrity than to be someone who is perverse in his ways and yet very rich. If you understand that you would never exchange your integrity for some perverse way. I heard Dan Bongino talking about a trip he took with his wife. He bought her a very expensive bracelet and it had fallen off her wrist. They couldn’t find it. Finally he went back to the store where he had bought it and a woman had turned it in. She made sure that several people at the store saw her return it so that no one at the store could steal it. When Dan went to the store they gave him his bracelet. What that woman did was “to walk in her integrity”.
7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.
What is a “glutton”? These are greedy people. They don’t eat because they are hungry. People should eat to live, but a glutton lives to eat. Why would you be a companion of such a person? If you have a calling, a mission for your life you would never be a companion to a glutton. There was a fork in the road, you chose to be rich rather than to walk in integrity. You saw the bracelet and you stole it. No longer are you eating to live, now you are living to eat. Once you take this path you will discover there are other gluttons on the same road you are on. Your father is the one who gives you a mission, a calling, once you exchange that calling for being a glutton you bring shame to your father.
8 He that augmenteth his substance by interest and increase, Gathereth it for him that hath pity on the poor.
The concept here is of usury or extortion. Think about organized crime, they make money through usury and extortion. What happens to their money? They can’t put it in the bank, the IRS will catch them, they can’t buy something like a car or house, the IRS will catch them. They buy gold chains, they stack cash just like the guy in Breaking Bad. But in the end what happens to the money? Jesse gave his money to that single mother. Walt couldn’t give his money to his wife or kid, they wouldn’t take it and it would make them an accomplice. Instead he had to give it to a very wealthy person to give to his son as part of a charity. The only way the extortioner can access the money is to gather it for him that hath pity on the poor.
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
What a contrast! James says the prayer of a righteous man availeth much, and here it says the prayer of a man who has turned away his ear from hearing the law is an abomination.
10 Whoso causeth the upright to go astray in an evil way, He shall fall himself into his own pit; But the perfect shall inherit good.
The evil dig a pit. The pandemic was a pit dug by evil men. They made the virus, they made the cure, and they made the vaccine. The pit was designed to catch men but here we are and they have become entangled in the pit. We know that China and Fauci and the NIH were involved. We know a bunch of scientists lied about it and they are involved. We are only two years into the biggest holocaust in human history and already we are gathering the records, the money trail, the emails, the phone records, and one by one they will all be caught in their pit and guess who will inherit the good? Not the one that is simply better or simply wise, but “the perfect”.
Who is perfect?
Walk in integrity
Keep the law as a wise son
Have pity on the poor
Your prayer is effectual with God
You contend with the wicked who have dug a pit for the upright
11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; But the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
Goliath was a rich man who was wise in his own conceit. David was a poor man that had understanding and searched him out. Jericho thought they were a rich city with a great wall, Joshua was a poor man who had understanding and searched them out. The same was true of Pharaoh and Moses. If you have a calling, a mission, you don’t need to worry about being poor. Instead, like James said, pray for wisdom and understanding, that is what you need.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
The wicked don’t talk about being loved, they talk about “being feared”. These see “men hiding themselves” as a worthy goal. But for us who are called our goal is “Christ in you, the hope of glory”.
13 He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.
The end does not justify the means. Rather, the Lord’s blood justifies the sinner who confesses and forsakes his sins. Do not think that because “your heart is good” or your “goal is good” that therefore it justifies you hiding your sins and covering your transgressions. Your transgressions are like a person with a nazarite vow getting shaved. You start at 0. However, from the moment you confess and forsake those transgressions your hair of your vow begins to grow again. It is a minor set back. In a few months you will be back in the power of that vow.
14 Happy is the man that feareth alway; But he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
It is stunning to me that some begin their path fearing the Lord and somewhere along that path they stop fearing alway. They become the unrighteous judge that doesn’t fear God. Why did they harden their heart? They are not wicked, they are not companions of gluttons, they didn’t dig a pit for the upright, but they did harden their heart. You can’t walk the narrow path in your own righteousness, you can only walk by faith in the Lord. These are “good” people who discovered that being “good” is not sufficient, you must be a man of faith. Rather than humbling themselves, admitting they can’t do it in themselves and turning to the Lord, instead they harden their hearts. Without the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts they will fall into mischief.
15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear, So is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
Now you have a problem. If you are a ruler without faith you will fall into mischief and become a “wicked ruler”. For example, I was a teacher. If you have a principal who is a person of faith with a vision this person will be on top of what is happening. Going to the principal will help you become a better teacher, the path will be laid out for everyone to triumph in glory. But if the principal is not a person of faith they will not be on top of things, rather they will be reacting to everything that happens, you will see them putting out one fire after another. No one wants to go to that principal, it is like a roaring lion. The faithful leader is like a good shepherd, you will see all the teachers flocking to that principal knowing that staying close to the shepherd protects them from the wolves. The wicked ruler is worse than the wolves.
16 The prince that lacketh understanding is also a great oppressor; But he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
We all lack wisdom, we all lack understanding. If you apply for a job at a school you want to know that the principal has wisdom and understanding, but even if they lack that you can still work there as long as the principal hates covetousness. That is the key. They can always pray for wisdom, but if they don’t hate covetousness have nothing to do with them, find another school.
What should we pray for?
Pray for understanding. Pray not to be “rich in your own conceit”.
Pray that Christ would be your hope of glory. Pray that others would trust you rather than fear you.
Pray for mercy. Do not justify your transgressions.
17 A man that is laden with the blood of any person Shall flee unto the pit; let no man stay him.
This chapter began by saying the wicked flee when no one is pursuing them. It also told us that the wicked will fall into the pit they dug for the upright. In conclusion, anyone who is laden with the blood of any person will flee into the pit. Don’t try to stop them. I have seen that in the last decade the Billionaires and the elites and the powerful have been digging bunkers. They are preparing for a cataclysmic event or a nuclear holocaust. Either way they are fleeing to the pit. Don’t worry about them, the Lord will deal with them.
18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be delivered; But he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
This is what we see during the tribulation and the rapture. The upright are delivered (harpazo -- snatched out of the way), the perverse fall at once (about a third of the people on the earth die) and the elites run and hide in caves and pits. They will be dealt with during the tribulation and the great tribulation.
19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread; But he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
Let’s focus on the believers. You have the wise virgins whose vessel is filled with oil and you have the foolish virgins who have empty vessels. What does it mean to “follow after vain persons”? They waste their time watching Hollywood movies, or trivial TV or they read all kinds of vain books that waste their precious time. We were told to redeem the time because the days are evil, but instead of tilling their land and sowing the word of God in their heart they follow after vain people who don’t have the word of God.
20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings; But he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be unpunished.
You don’t need to be rich. You simply need to move in that direction. For example, if I put a small part of every paycheck into the bank I am increasing my net worth with each paycheck. I am moving in the right direction. The same is true of the word of God. You don’t need to know all mysteries, simply add more word this week than what you had last week.
21 To have respect of persons is not good; Neither that a man should transgress for a piece of bread.
Both of these things are “not good”. People will often have respect of persons to help their career. We call that “brown nose”. It is not good. This is what happens if you lack faith. When I was a teacher half of our review was based on the observation from the principal and half was based on how our kids did on the exams. If you lack faith you have to go all in on the observation from the principal. I taught Earth Science and there was another woman who also taught this at my school. She went all in on her observations, the principal loved them, and I was encouraged to observe her. I did observe her and although she was very well prepared and did everything the principal asked I never saw a lesson that I thought “hey, I should use that”. Instead they always seemed very elementary, something you would teach in sixth grade even though we were teaching high school. Instead I went all in on my kids performance and every year we saw improvement until we had the best performing kids in NYC. Meanwhile this other teacher who was praised by the principal and moved on to become a principal, the best her kids ever did was a little better than average. That makes sense, if you do exactly what everyone else is doing then of course you should expect to be “average”. Being “average” is not good, neither is it bad, it is simply average, typical, common.
22 He that hath an evil eye hasteth after riches, And knoweth not that want shall come upon him.
As a teacher I saw this as well. There is a lot of pressure for your kids to do well. If you lack faith, lack a vision, lack wisdom then your kids will not do well. If you have a bad observation then you know this exam could sink you and so some teachers and some principals cheat. I have seen a great number of different cheaters during my career, it isn’t just students, it is also teachers and administrators. Fortunately most of the ones I saw were on the news at other schools. There is no excuse for this. Teachers have five years before they get tenure. During that time you can really improve your performance quite a bit without worrying about the ultimate results. All you really have to do during those five years is follow the principal’s instructions to the letter. As long as you do that they won’t fire you. Then by this time you should at the very least be “an average teacher”. As long as you are average they won’t fire you. But take a short cut, choose to cheat, and it is only a matter of time before your whole world comes crashing down on you.
23 He that rebuketh a man shall afterward find more favor Than he that flattereth with the tongue.
As a teacher you get observed several times a year by both administrators and colleagues. Any time someone observes you they will give you feedback. Telling you “great job, I wouldn’t change a thing” is not feedback. So you will get a lot of suggestions on possible improvements. Sometimes the advice can be difficult to take, but whenever someone gave me advice that made me a better teacher I really appreciated it. Often you don’t know that until a month or two later. You try it, you see it works, you appreciate it, and then in your mind that person has gained favor and respect.
24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression, The same is the companion of a destroyer.
I am disgusted by what I am seeing on the news with these school boards attacking the parents and robbing them of their kids. School boards work for the parents, not the other way around. These people are “a destroyer”. Trying to groom kids for the LGBTQ lifestyle, teaching CRT, and trying to shut the parents out of the process. These ones teach the kids to rob their parents. Do not let your kids be a companion of the destroyer. The devil comes to destroy, he prohibits prayer, he prohibits the name of Jesus, he prohibits the gospel or even the ten commandments. Public school has become a toxic environment for kids.
25 He that is of a greedy spirit stirreth up strife; But he that putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be made fat.
We saw this during 2020. They stirred up riots across the country as a political tool to win the election. But all that is coming back to bite them. We now have rampant crime nationwide in all the cities that had pushed the whole “defund the police” movement. They ridiculed Trump when he suggested you could use HCQ to treat Covid so now what do they do? Cities and schools are shutting down in the face of Omicron, a contagious cold, because this is what you told them to do. Biden said that Trump should have resigned having so many dead on his watch, yet Biden now has more dead on his watch. All of these things are causing their poll numbers to absolutely collapse. Meanwhile states like Florida and South Dakota that put their trust in the Lord are prospering and becoming fat.
26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool; But whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
What an important clarification. It seems everyone thinks they are right and are unable to listen to anyone else. Yet he makes this very clear, if you trust in your own heart you are a fool. Stop pretending you are walking wisely, you are a fool. Walking wisely is to pray to the Lord for wisdom, to turn your ear to listen to the Law, to keep the commandments, to avoid evil companions, to love mercy and to do justice.
27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack; But he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
The Lord knows what is going on. Don’t pretend you didn’t see the poor, the Lord knows the truth.
28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; But when they perish, the righteous increase.
Yes, the wicked will rise like weeds. We have seen this in history. We saw this with Hitler, we saw this with the Caesars, we saw this with Stalin and Mao. But the wicked will also perish just like weeds being tossed into the fire. Again we saw this throughout history. The Bible refers to the rapture as the Lord “hiding us” for a short period of time until the wrath has passed.
Jeremiah 6:1-8 -- I will make your land so that no one can live in it.
“Flee for safety, people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the trumpet in Tekoa! Raise the signal over Beth Hakkerem! For disaster looms out of the north, even terrible destruction.
What a picture. The Southern kingdom was composed of Judah and Benjamin. Here we see that this kingdom is split in two just like what we are seeing today between the “Leftists” and the “Conservatives”. These two locations are the southern border of Judah with Benjamin. Again, if this were the US then Jerusalem would be Washington DC. To flee from Washington DC would then have a double meaning. Yes, the capital is surrounded by troops and fences, but it is also the “heart of the corruption”, some are now calling it “the district of corruption”.
2 I will destroy Daughter Zion, so beautiful and delicate.
I prefer the translation that describes the daughter of Zion as a beautiful pasture. For the last century the world has looked at the US as a great place to do business, but that will be destroyed. 3 Shepherds with their flocks will come against her; they will pitch their tents around her, each tending his own portion.”
Again, I prefer the translation that describes them each with their hand out. Why is the US being destroyed as a place to do business? It is because of the government mandated shutdown as well as the schools being shut down. What is keeping them from lifting the mandate? Not the science (as a rule kids are at a very low risk). Not the hospitals, the cases have dropped significantly. We now have treatments that work and three different vaccines. No, what is keeping them from reopening is the teachers unions. “Offspring of vipers” they have learned to “never let a crisis go to waste” and have their hand out demanding all kinds of money from the federal government.
4 “Prepare for battle against her! Arise, let us attack at noon! But, alas, the daylight is fading, and the shadows of evening grow long. 5 So arise, let us attack at night and destroy her fortresses!”
Wow, how appropriate. The pandemic was designed to destroy the positive economic news and help get Biden elected. The idea was to reopen after the election but now it is dragging on and on. This was designed to unseat the Republicans but now it will destroy the fortresses of the Democrats. Cuomo, Whitmer and Newsom are now coming under intense pressure to either be recalled, impeached or resign. Fauci is being mocked as a liar and a joke. The CDC and the WHO are losing credibility. 6 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression.
Fair enough, lay siege to the Capital. Every day the news is being proclaimed, Biden is causing jobs to be lost, he is damaging our industries, he is being controlled by radical leftists. The censorship is being exposed. People are building alternative platforms from which to proclaim the facts. Already Biden’s support is down to the twenty six percentile range, this is after only 12 month in office. For someone who is supposed to have had the most massive turnout in election history this is the most epic drop in support ever. Meanwhile the evidence of voter fraud continues to press the case. People are being arrested, States are passing legislation, courts are upholding subpoenas.
7 As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her; her sickness and wounds are ever before me.
We are now seeing the violence and destruction of Antifa and even the January 6 riot in a new light. The evidence and facts are changing the public's opinion. Over 70% of Americans view Antifa as domestic terrorists while the evidence that any Trump supporters committed any acts of violence on January 6 is becoming thinner and thinner. The lies and falsehood were poured out as water. AOC crying about how she felt threatened, FBI claiming a policeman was bludgeoned to death, and the absurd claim that Antifa is not committing acts of terrorism because they loot at night.
8 Take warning, Jerusalem, or I will turn away from you and make your land desolate so no one can live in it.”
Could anyone have believed this a year ago? March 3, 2020 there was no pandemic, no shutdown, no Stop the Steal rallies, and very little in the way of rioting and looting by Antifa. A year later homicides are up by 300% in some cities. Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle are becoming unlivable.
Mark 1 The Gospel for the rootless 1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Mark is the Cliff notes version of the gospel
2 Even as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way; 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight;
This is the highway, not some winding road that takes you through every twist and turn. This gospel doesn’t begin with a long list of names of our ancestors, no home movies, this gets straight to the key points.
4 John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins. 5 And there went out unto him all the country of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem; and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and had a leathern girdle about his loins, and did eat locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, There cometh after me he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I baptized you in water; but he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
Imagine the rapture just took place. You are a Christian but you never really got into all that and you were left behind. All of a sudden you realize this is it! This is the tribulation, the antichrist is here, what do I do? Don’t worry, the Lord will send you two great witnesses. You will know them because they will have a bunch of rings and gold chains, they will drive the best cars, live in mansions, have the biggest TV shows...sorry, just kidding. Actually he looks like something straight out of Mad Max, you can’t just click on his channel you will have to go out to the wilderness, and this guy eats bugs. The message is simple, believe in the Lord, confess your sins, obey the word to be baptized, and follow the Lord. 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in the Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent asunder, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon him: 11 and a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased. 12 And straightway the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
This is the same path all believers have had to take. The Lord is the author and perfecter of our faith. Do not think “oh no, it’s the tribulation!” No, instead focus on “thank God, I have the Spirit of Jesus Christ in me!”
14 Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.
That’s it! John’s ministry is already done! Yep, this is the cliff notes version, John’s ministry was to bring people to the Lord Jesus, that is it.
16 And passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 18 And straightway they left the nets, and followed him. 19 And going on a little further, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets. 20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
Believe it or not, this is the gospel to those who are left behind. The Lord will raise up apostles and prophets out of you. Being a sinner and a failure does not disqualify you from receiving the Lord, repenting of your sins, following the Lord, and being raised up to serve Him.
21 And they go into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. 22 And they were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Oh yeah, and going to seminary is not the same thing as being with the Lord. Seminary teaches you to question the faith. Being with Jesus builds you up in the faith.
23 And straightway there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 26 And the unclean spirit, tearing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. 27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? a new teaching! with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him. 28 And the report of him went out straightway everywhere into all the region of Galilee round about.
Not only is this a new teaching but it is a lesson you need to learn. If you abandon the faith and the word of God society will become infested with unclean spirits. The word of God has the authority and power to rebuke unclean spirits and to cast them out of society.
29 And straightway, when they were come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever; and straightway they tell him of her: 31 and he came and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
Society is making people sick, you can see it on the news, they have a fever. Even the president says the same, the real virus is not Covid19 but rather an unclean spirit that is flying around on the airwaves. The progressives have tried all kinds of ways to fix this and things have only gotten worse. What you need is a good dose of the word of God.
32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were sick, and them that were possessed with demons. 33 And all the city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.
This is the beginning of the gospel. The sun is setting on society, and the city is filled with those who are sick and demon possessed. What you need is Jesus Christ, the living word of God.
35 And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed. 36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him; 37 and they found him, and say unto him, All are seeking thee. 38 And he saith unto them, Let us go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also; for to this end came I forth. 39 And he went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
You have a mission and you only have a couple of years to complete it.
40 And there cometh to him a leper, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And being moved with compassion, he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou made clean.
There are people who were rebellious against the Lord, openly, vocally, and their actions have brought death, sickness and destruction on the earth. Still if they repent they can be healed. This is not a ministry of condemnation, even at this late hour with judgement so close, it is still a ministry of reconciliation, forgiveness and cleansing.
42 And straightway the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. 43 And he strictly charged him, and straightway sent him out, 44 and saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to spread abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
This is a fundamental failure of society today. Everyone wants to have a viral video, everyone wants to be on some talk show. Change your mentality, what we really need is to have Jesus Christ the way, the truth and the life. What just happened with this leper being cleansed is that an oak tree was planted and has just sprouted. True it can grow up into a mighty oak, but now that the leper has alerted Satan and his minions do you really think it will survive? Do you really want to jump up and down and say “Hey Satan look at me!” when you are still a sapling? John the Baptist got as far from that realm as he could and even so they arrested him and beheaded him. This is the beginning of the gospel and the most important lesson is that “this is my beloved Son, hear Him”.
When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
The Old Covenant was like a picture book that we give to young children. We have outgrow the picture book, but the lesson is still appropriate for the New Covenant. This picture of us being priests entering into the Holy place and the Holy of Holies and showing us that the way into the most Holy place was not disclosed until Jesus was crucified, dead, buried, and then rose from the dead.
This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper.
This is what has been done away. We don't offer the blood of bulls and goats, we offer the blood of Jesus. We still have a sacrifice for sin, that has not changed, only we have replaced the ineffective blood with the effectual offering.
They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings–external regulations applying until the time of the new order.
These ceremonial outward regulations have been done away with in the New Covenant. Again, sin, and a sacrifice for sin have not been done away.
When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.
The Old Covenant was trying to obtain redemption and all they got was a one year reprieve each year. The Lord obtained an eternal redemption. This is the difference.
The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! (Hebrews 9:6-14).
So the Old Testament was a picture book of how we needed to be cleansed by the blood. We now have the reality of that we don't need the pictures of goats and bulls and ashes. But we still need to have our conscience cleansed from acts that lead to death. What acts? Obviously, those acts that violate the ten commandments for one.
Proverbs 29 -- Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed
1 Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.
There is a big debate concerning Pre tribulation or mid tribulation rapture. However, this verse encapsulates my position. One of the problems is that not everyone means the same thing by these terms. Some think that all Christians will be raptured before the tribulation, I certainly don’t agree with that. I think the Bible teaches that some will be raptured at the beginning of the tribulation and others will either be raptured or martyred during the tribulation. But this verse really is the key, some will receive the Lord’s word to take up their cross and follow Him and so they will be raptured at the beginning of the tribulation, others will be stiff necked even after many rebukes. I like to look at this age as an opportunity to repent, confess and be saved. Some will do that during the age of grace, others will need that little extra push of the tribulation.
2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.
This is the point. People who have been ridiculing and attacking Christians will come to see how wonderful the world was when they were here and how horrible it became once they were taken away. This is why they repent, this is how you finally convince them. You can tell people the vaccine is the virus all you want, but it isn’t until they get it after being double vaxxed and boosted that they start to realize they have been lied to.
3 A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
Why doesn’t everyone love wisdom? It is amazing how many people only want to hear what they want to hear. When I was a teacher I saw this all the time, you tell kids what they need to do but they don’t want to listen to that. They want to play games, watch TV and find some “short cut”. In the end they fail the class and fail the final exam. They had plenty of time to learn the material but they squandered that.
4 By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down.
If you think our country is being torn down, know that it is by those who are greedy for bribes. Stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.
5 Those who flatter their neighbors are spreading nets for their feet.
I have always felt uncomfortable and weird around people who flatter you. Flattery is not the same thing as appreciation. If you did something and someone else truly appreciates it that is not flattery, but when they say all kinds of things to make you feel good that are not based on any actual experience on their part you realize this is bogus. That is flattery.
6 Evildoers are snared by their own sin, but the righteous shout for joy and are glad.
We saw this on January 6th. They are attacking Trump and yet the more they attack they more they are snared. They had a tremendous amount of videotape they didn’t want to release and yet had no valid reason not to release it. They put together the most extensive manhunt ever to get these protestors and yet when you give them the names of the ringleaders and chief provocateurs they ignore them. They got a bus referred to as the “hippie Trump supporters” and supposedly found weapons and bombs on the bus and yet they didn’t prosecute them. There was a man who left a pipe bomb, they have video tape of him and he was on the phone and yet they have not arrested him. They blame Trump for not securing the capital and yet it was Pelosi’s responsibility. We now have emails in which Pelosi refused the national guard offered by Trump. The more we know the more they are snared.
7 The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.
I could never understand why anyone thought that Biden was better than Trump on this regard. Biden had a 30 year record of not caring about justice for the poor. I saw a youtube video where a person was on the streets asking people “who said this” and they all thought it was Trump when in fact it was Biden. The most racist and unjust comments and actions.
8 Mockers stir up a city, but the wise turn away anger.
Who stirred up the country? They were mockers. Antifa, BLM, these were riots filled with mockery like “defund the police” and “Black lives matter”. Those expressions are mockery. Defund the police is not something the poor want, they are the ones who suffer from the inner city crime. Also, Black Lives matter was designed to be insulting and provocative. The insinuation is that police are shooting blacks without concern because their lives don’t matter. But when you look at the data and there have been several very prominent blacks who have done this, the fact is that blacks are shooting blacks. I am not clear on the numbers but I think the ratio is 10:1 of blacks shooting blacks over police shooting blacks. Not only so it has been shown that other races have been shot by police at a higher rate. Finally, this is just racism, the question is why did the police shoot the person? Were they committing a felony? Were they threatening others with a deadly weapon?
9 If a wise person goes to court with a fool, the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.
This is the problem we see right now. There is a lot of foolish raging on social media. It has become so bad you can’t even have a discussion. I have felt the best solution is to simply leave those platforms. We have a responsibility to warn others, however we are not responsible for what they do with the information. These fools love to tell you that they reject your sources, they reject your facts, they have their own truth etc. As long as they have acknowledged that they received what you said and rejected it then it is on them. Be at peace.
10 The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity and seek to kill the upright.
Cancel culture is composed of the bloodthirsty. These Antifa riots are composed of the bloodthirsty.
Proverbs 29 11-13 A simple gauge to determine if you are being ruled by Tyrants or good shepherds.
11 Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
We have seen this. Pelosi calling a January 6th committee to investigate has thrown the doors wide open on this. They accuse Trump of inciting violence and we can pull up multiple videos of these foolish Democrats inciting violence including Kamala Harris and yet they want Trump to be tried for saying to “peacefully protest and let your voices be heard”.
12 If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked.
The lies we are hearing now are truly incredible. Everyone knows that the three hour wait to get a Covid test is the fault of Biden. He has put out these mandates where you cannot work or fly without a negative Covid test so there was a massive surge in people who needed testing going into the holidays and yet he didn’t prepare for it. They lie about that. We know that shutting off the pipelines has caused energy prices to go up. They lie about that. We know that their stupid mandates have caused a complete catastrophe at California ports, they lie about that. Everyone in the administration appears to be wicked and lying.
13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common: The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.
This is why Mike Lindell thinks the way things have turned out are so good. He sees that this oppression has given sight to the eyes of the oppressed. When you have good leaders who are like good shepherds the “sheep” can be simple and naive. They can depend on the eyes of their shepherd. But if that leader is oppressive then the people need to fend for themselves and be wise. When this happens the oppressor can see it happening. This is why tyrants become paranoid. The naive, simple people they scorned are no longer naive or simple. This is why tyrants censor free speech. So then Free speech is like a very simple gauge, are you being ruled by tyrants or good shepherds? If there is no censorship then you have good shepherds as rulers, if there is censorship then you have tyrants.
19 Hear, you earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my word and have rejected my law.
The disaster is self inflicted. Just like the blackouts in Texas, or the people dying in nursing homes, or the laws being passed concerning the tech giants and censorship.
20 What do I care about incense from Sheba or sweet calamus from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me.”
Do you think that God cares if Joe Biden shows up at Mass? Do you think that he tells a few “hail mary’s” and then it will be all fine?
21 Therefore this is what the Lord says: “I will put obstacles before this people. Parents and children alike will stumble over them; neighbors and friends will perish.”
Deceit like the SAT scandal, election fraud, drugs, etc. The schools are closed, Antifa continues to riot in the street, now that the borders have been thrown open we’ll see drugs flooding back into the cities. Mental health issues with kids, suicide rates skyrocket.
22 This is what the Lord says: “Look, an army is coming from the land of the north; a great nation is being stirred up from the ends of the earth.
They refused to listen to the warning, but more than a year ago Steve Bannon started a daily broadcast called “War Room Pandemic” because he saw that the virus in Wuhan had the potential to become a pandemic. They mocked and ridiculed him as a tin foil hat conspiracy. But he was right. We now have the evidence that this came from the Wuhan Bio weapons lab and that the CCP has done many things to obstruct a thorough investigation. The only reasonable attitude at this point is that we view this pandemic as an attack with a bioweapon from the CCP until we can get the evidence to prove otherwise. Then we also have evidence that the CCP was involved in stealing the US election. This has been published in Mike Lindell’s movies exposing the fraud. That should also be viewed as China’s being complicit in a coup in the US. These are acts of war. How is it that the American people are so blase about our capital being ringed with troops and fences? Now we see an even more terrible virus like Ebola sweeping through China. Meanwhile the US is ready to go to war with Russia over the Ukraine. The Ukraine is used as a headquarters for the Russian mafia, or the Kaduri mafia. They traffic in women in children, they are extremely vicious, they have stored gold from around the world from their criminal enterprise, and they have blackmail material on all these elites that they traffic with. The Moloch and Baal worshippers cannot allow this information and gold to be lost to the Russians but it is the Lord's doing that these dark secrets will be uncovered. Russia is being forced to attack us first and prior to that the Moloch and Baal worshippers may do a false flag event with suitcase nukes to point the finger at Russia.
23 They are armed with bow and spear; they are cruel and show no mercy. They sound like the roaring sea as they ride on their horses; they come like men in battle formation to attack you, Daughter Zion.”
Wake up! Anyone who would attack with a bioweapon that destroys the world’s economy is not going to show any mercy. Russia is armed with hyper sonic missiles.
24 We have heard reports about them, and our hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped us, pain like that of a woman in labor.
Nice, I wonder if this is a reference to the birth pains of the woman who is bringing forth the Man Child. In the gospel of Luke the Lord said that when we see Jerusalem compassed about with troops that this is the last sign prior to the rapture at the beginning of the tribulation. Now here in Jeremiah there appears to be a confirmation of that. There have been many prophecies recently of the US being surrounded by armies, missiles coming over the Arctic, from submarines off the east coast, from South America, and even from North Korea.
25 Do not go out to the fields or walk on the roads, for the enemy has a sword, and there is terror on every side.
After the rapture there will be a dramatic collapse in law and order. Imagine what the US would be like if you don’t remove any of the Antifa or people who are rioting and looting but you do remove a third of all the cops, a third of teachers, and all the people standing with the Lord for righteousness. Someone had a prophecy that they saw a very severe blackout where there was no electricity and everyone was under house arrest, if you went into the street they would shoot you.
26 Put on sackcloth, my people, and roll in ashes; mourn with bitter wailing as for an only son, for suddenly the destroyer will come upon us.
When they say “peace and security” then there is sudden destruction. The claims of “peace, peace” were fake news. This is the problem with deceit, people don’t see the destroyer that is coming. Other prophecies have said that when the USSR collapsed in 1991 that was when everyone said "Peace and Security".
27 “I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways.
This is a test, we are being tested, will you stand for the Lord, are you truly walking by faith or by sight?
The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword even unto the dividing of soul and spirit.
Imagine if this event splits the Christians who are watching for the Lord's return from those who are sleeping, just as the Antichrist setting himself up in the Jewish temple splits the tribulation from the great tribulation.
