The 9th of Av, part 33
4th month is also the 10th month
The fourth month on the Jewish calendar is the tenth month on the calendar that Noah used.
From Noah's perspective it is the tenth month, a number that is 5 times 2. Five is the number of responsibility and accountability. We have five fingers and five toes. Two is the number of testimony. It is a testimony of our being faithful in our responsibility.
The letter that signifies ten in Hebrew is the smallest letter, the least letter. Paul was “less than the least of all saints”. The raptured saints are nothing, they are small by the world’s estimation. The Lord said that he that is faithful in the least is also faithful in much. This letter signifies God’s hand. It symbolizes how God’s hand works in our lives. The more humble we are the more God’s hand can work in our lives. The Hebrew word for ten has three letters, the first means to discern or see God’s providence. The second letter refers to the tree of life, the burning bush, the Holy Spirit. The third letter depicts a man persistent in prayer.
Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Noah was a preacher of righteousness. If you are burying your talent you will be judged with the slothful servant.
On the other hand for those left behind it is the fourth month. The number four can mean completion of the creation. You have four sides, four corners, four seasons, four gospels, etc. Often the creation is associated with the number four, four horsemen, four creatures, four beasts and four angels holding the four winds. So then it is a very appropriate month to complete the new creation.
The Door -- The fourth month
However, the number four is the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet and it is a pictograph of a door. The letter means door, draw out, portal to heaven. God's calendar and prophetic clock were established on day four of creation.
Ezekiel 14:21 For thus says the Lord GOD, “How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut off man and beast from it!
The door, the portal to heaven can let blessings come in and out, or it can let judgements and cursing enter in and out. The fourth branch of the menorah is the center or main branch.
Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
This is the first mention of door. Our actions will have a result. If you do well you will be accepted, welcomed into eternal habitations. If you do not do well, sin lies at the door. This is what we see at the rapture, some will be accepted, welcomed into eternal habitations and they can enter into the joy of their Lord, others will see sin come pouring out of that door and onto the Earth.
Genesis 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
Noah entered the ark through the door. That seems obvious, but it is unusual. Most boats don't have a door in the side of the boat. So the door is probably the most unique feature in Noah's ark. Likewise the most unique feature in the Christian faith is the resurrection from the dead and the rapture.
Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Another verse depicting the rapture and then the doors being shut.
Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
This church is raptured and before that the Lord tells them He has set an open door before them. While on Earth we have an open door to serve the Lord. If you choose to walk through it then it is righteous that the Lord lets you enter the door in heaven.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
This church is not raptured, they are vomited out of the Lord's mouth. He says they have kicked Him out of the church and shut the door on His face.
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
This is another depiction of the rapture with an open door in heaven.
Matthew 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.
Did you believe to walk through the open door that the Lord put in front of you? As you have believed so be it done unto you that you might go through the open door in heaven. Did you shut the door on the Lord and lock Him out? Well then it is righteous judgment that He shuts the door on you and locks you out.
