Luke 13:22-33 This is where we are headed

22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

Among the believers we have already seen the twelve, the others (70), the witnesses (500), those that are being fed (5,000), those that are being nursed back to life, and now we hear of those that try to enter into salvation but won’t be able to because they don't enter in by the narrow door. The way of salvation is a narrow door, Jesus is the only way to the Father.

25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

The Lord compares the rapture of believers to Noah entering the ark and then the door being closed. Once that happens many people will wake up and bang on the door, “Lord open the door for us”. The issue isn’t that they didn’t know all the doctrine concerning pre tribulation, mid tribulation and post tribulation rapture, the issue is that the Lord doesn’t know them and He doesn’t know where they are from. Isn’t that incredible? He knew the woman at the well, He knew who she was, He knew where she was from. When they brought a woman to Him caught in adultery He knew all the sins of those that brought her there and began writing them in the dirt. When He was invited to a Pharisee's house for dinner He knew what He was thinking. Throughout the gospels I am amazed at what He does know, sometimes we overlook how amazing are the things He doesn’t know. Think about it, this person thought that they also should be taken by the Lord, in their mind they are a pretty big deal. Can you imagine, some people that were of no account were taken by the Lord, and yet this guy who thought he was a big shot wasn’t?

Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pence? and not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

These rulers and leaders were involved in selling people. They were involved in glorifying their own names with statues and glowing histories while these people are seemingly forgotten. Then it turns out that the Lord didn’t pay any attention to their history books, He has no idea who they are or where they are from. But that person you thought was of no account, the Lord knew them, He knew where they were from and what they had gone through.

26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’

Hold it! How does He know they are evil doers? He knows what they did, He just never approved it. He never authorized their actions. They may have blamed Him for what they did, but that was just evil. Maybe they taught that keeping the Sabbath was equivalent to treating people worse than an animal, reminds me of religious teachers justifying slavery because Noah cursed his son. Where did that come from, the pit of hell?

28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

So much for having the best seat and the big name. There is one very interesting aspect to this. Christians teach that no one is thrown into the Lake of Fire until the Great White Throne judgment. Yet prior to the Great White throne judgement we learn that the false prophet, a man, is already in the Lake of fire. I suspect he was like these ones here, he was so good at deceiving others he had even deceived himself. He demanded to be judged at the judgement seat of Christ, so the Lord accommodated him and sent him to the Lake of fire early. This also may tell us that at the time of the rapture there may be a very large blackout so that those who are left behind are left in "outer darkness". Another picture of the rapture is Samson pushing out the two pillars. The two pillars signify the church, the pillar and base of the truth. When the church is taken up the entire temple of Baal comes crashing down. This isn't a coincidence, these are the people who were holding up the economy.

29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

This goes back to the question about “are there only a few that are saved”. There are only a few people that can have the best seat or the best name. There are only a few that can be first. But you don’t need any of that to be saved. You can have the last seat and the last name and wind up with the first name. Jesus is the first name, to be saved is to know Jesus and to call Him Lord. If you do then you will obey Him and if you do that He will know you and where you are from.

31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.”

Why does Herod want to kill Him? It seems like He has been exposing the Pharisees and the lawyers, Herod was the king. There was a conspiracy, they all worked together. Prior to the holocaust the Pope signed a deal with Hitler to avoid persecution. Kings and religious leaders have worked together for thousands of years. 9/11 was an inside job by some in the US government. They could never have done that if those who investigated the crime didn’t rubber stamp the official account. In the Bible this kind of investigation would have been done by the levitical priests. Herod’s goal was to keep in power as King, to do that He had to be the puppet of the Romans, the Jewish leaders goal was to keep in power, to do that they acquiesced to Herod and the Romans. Exposing the priests would bring the whole house of cards down, so Herod needed to act.

32 He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’

Healing the bent over woman provoked Herod. The common people were being treated as beasts of burden so that the kings and rulers could walk around without lifting a finger. The elimination of serfdom weakened the kings hold on power, the parliamentary system weakened the kings hold on power, the expansion of the middle class weakened the ruling class’s hold on power. That is the Lord’s goal, bind the strong man and plunder His house. He likens that to the day of resurrection. The Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation were two important steps toward this goal. Martin Luther King Jr. said "All tyrants, past, present and future, are powerless to bury the truths in these declarations". To God a thousand years is a day. To God it has been two days since the Lord’s crucifixion, it is now the start of the third day when we will rise from the grave with Him. It is time for us to stand up straight.

33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!

We are heading to Jerusalem! That is the Lord’s goal, the city of peace. This is the necessary step towards the goal in “any case”. My salvation was one case, your salvation is another case, in every case our salvation from Satan’s bondage is at the cross of Christ. This is where we are headed.

The Lord is Faithful

Yesterday I was driving home after dropping my youngest son off for college. I was reminded that twenty years earlier i was going through a very great trial in my life. I had been a full time worker and involved in missionary work in Taiwan affiliated with the church I met with. However, a scandal had broken out in the ministry I was involved in with the "apostle" and with his son who was the President of the ministry. Even though the son was guilty of sexually abusing several sisters he was kept on as President of this ministry and was exercising even tighter control of the churches despite the outrage of many who were afraid to speak openly. I felt I had to take a public stand and so I did. As a result I was drummed out of that church and that ministry. At this time I had $0. I didn't have any debts but I also didn't have anything at all to my name. However, I did have two kids and I was wondering how I would be able to pay for their college in a few years. Still I had the peace and the life to take the stand I did. Since that time I had a third child, the one who just started college yesterday. The Lord has provided for all their college expenses 100%. Now I realize some will assume this involved financial aid, I did not take one penny from the king of Sodom. I refuse to fill out those financial forms. I find it very weird that they are so desperate to give you money, so I don't trust them. I am glad of that because all the glory and all the praise goes to God. Also, we did not borrow a dime. My kids graduated without any college debt, and this son who just went has all the money for his four years already. On the one hand it is miraculous, but on the other the Lord has reminded me that there is a promise that He will not forget our labor of love, and there is a law that the laborer who treads out the grain is worthy of his hire. When I look at how this happened I realized all glory goes to God, He would not share His glory with those evil men in that ministry nor would He share his glory with the US government.

Luke 14:1-14 -- "Jesus Freak", the worst seat at the feast.

14 And it came to pass, when he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him. 2 And behold, there was before him a certain man that had the dropsy. 3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not? 4 But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.

(Dropsy refers to congestive heart failure). In the last chapter we saw the response of the ruler of the synagogue, in this chapter we see the response of the “silent majority”. In the last chapter we learned that the Lord’s goal includes exposing the hypocrisy of a corrupt counterfeit bill to the kingdom of the heavens. In this chapter we learn about the silent majority, those who hold their peace.

5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightway draw him up on a sabbath day? 6 And they could not answer again unto these things.

According to the rabbinical law you were not supposed to pull an ox out of a well on the Sabbath. You were allowed to lower food and water down to the ox, but you had to wait till the next day to pull the ox out. They knew this, but then they also knew that this was a stupid rule. The ox doesn’t know it is the Sabbath. In the wild an ox falls into a well and can’t get out, that ox is going to die. So this ox is going to panic and may break a leg trying to get out. Imagine you were the ox, your owner sees you in the well, but just leaves you there! How cruel is that? You do all that work for him and he is just going to leave you to die? One person can’t pull an ox out, so they would need help. This is why they are all keeping quiet, they don’t want to admit that they do this in public, but they can’t deny it because everyone knows they do it. It is a stupid, cruel rule, no one obeys it, but they are afraid to say that. That is hypocrisy, that is the leaven of the Pharisees. They keep people in line with fear but no one believes them, they don’t obey them, they just don’t want to make waves. Recently we discovered that a number of very high profile NFL stars were fabricating vaccine passports, pretending they had complied with the mandate while ignoring the rule. Meanwhile we have seen an extraordinary number of athletes drop dead this last year from "causes unknown".

7 And he spake a parable unto those that were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief seats; saying unto them, 8 When thou art bidden of any man to a marriage feast, sit not down in the chief seat; lest haply a more honorable man than thou be bidden of him, 9 and he that bade thee and him shall come and say to thee, Give this man place; and then thou shalt begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that hath bidden thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have glory in the presence of all that sit at meat with thee. 11 For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

This is what people are really afraid of, public humiliation. What did the Lord say, don’t fear those that can just humiliate you and after that there is nothing more they can do, rather fear Him who after you have died has the power to humiliate you for eternity. Why is it that people deny the Lord before men? They are afraid to be shunned and humiliated. The Lord is not teaching us how to be social climbers. You need to connect this account with the earlier point Jesus made(Luke 12:8-9). If you confess Jesus before men you will be shunned, you will be given the worst seats at their feasts. But if you confess Jesus before men then He will confess you before the angels, at the feast that He is going to give at the end of the age He will say “friend go up higher”. If you choose to start the feast in the most despised seat, the “Jesus freak” seat, then there is nothing they can do to you, but you give the Lord an opportunity to honor you. When I tell people that Jesus is the only savior they interpret that to mean that I am telling them to sit on their hands and do nothing. They are worked up over the vaccine mandate or over climate change or concerned with election fraud. We are supposed to be the salt and the light, I am all for being the salt and the light. But let's be realistic, the Republican party is not "the savior", AOC and her $10 trillion dollar green new deal is not the savior, and Mike Lindell is not the savior. By all means expose election fraud, promote the use of cleaner energy and reject them illegally mandating an experimental vaccine. But if you are serious about real solutions you will realize that as long as our government is corrupt giving them $10 trillion will not make things better, only worse.

12 And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee. 13 But when thou makest a feast, bid the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14 and thou shalt be blessed; because they have not wherewith to recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.

This is how you lay up treasure for yourself (Luke 12:16-21). Man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things he possesses. If the US dollar is about to become worthless then you are in the exact same position of that rich man who died. Once he died the grain in the barn was worthless to him. He could have used it to give a feast to the poor and then when the Lord took him he would have had treasure stored up in heaven. During the tribulation our money will become worthless. But right now there are people who can’t pay their rent, can’t buy food. One minute you could have used that money to store up treasure in heaven, the next minute it will be gone. Give to those who cannot recompense you and then you will be recompensed in the resurrection. This is a tremendous investment opportunity for you, where thieves don’t break in, moths don’t destroy, a purse in heaven that faileth not.

2Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds); 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; 6 and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.

How we war.

1. It is not according to the flesh. Antifa means "anti fascist". It may be a good motive, but their warfare is according to the flesh. Doing that plays into the hands of those that would manipulate you for their own purpose and then discard you. It is a path that does not lead to victory.

Others hold rallies, protesting for Climate change and what is their solution? You want the UN to carry your banner, for the US to pass a $10 trillion dollar green new deal. If a corrupt government passes this bill and then hands the taxpayer money to the corrupt corporations to make a bunch of new stuff all you have done is strengthen the very system that is destroying the earth and keeping you enslaved. These rallies are not mighty, they are easily co-opted by the powers that be for their own profit.

2. No, we must cast down strongholds. What strongholds?

A. Jesus is Lord. The enemy hates it when you say the name of Jesus. Trying to eliminate the name of Jesus is a stronghold of the enemy. Cast it down. The more they mock, ridicule and defame the name the more we should lift it up and proclaim it.

B. The word of God. Proclaim it. The word of God is mighty to cast down every imagination and every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

3. Then we must bring every thought into the captivity of the obedience of Christ.

A. "My body my choice" is a thought that must be brought into the captivity of Jesus. Do not mandate an experimental vaccine on me, I am not a lab rat, my body, my choice.

B. "Respect the science" -- Use data, use peer reviewed studies, point out the hypocrisy and lies of Fauci and others telling them to "respect the science".

C. Kamala promised to end the human rights abuses at the border. Remind her of that promise, speak it over and over, never let them forget.

D. For four years they said "#NotMyPresident" remind them of that, don't back down on investigations of election integrity. We are the light and the salt. Shine that light.

4. Judgement begins with the house of God. The Lord is ready to avenge as soon as we have fulfilled our obedience.

Luke 14:34-35 If you want to be part of the Lord's ministry you need to be salt

34 Salt therefore is good:

Strange conclusion to this chapter. To renounce all that we are is to renounce our ego, our family heritage, whatever we count as gain to us. What salt does is it causes all the water to come out of the fish or the meat that it is preserving. Without any water it can’t rot. This chapter is telling us that we need to be salted. We will be attacked, just like microbes will attack the fish or the meat. Before refrigeration this was the only way to preserve meat and fish. This section began with a warning to beware the leaven of the pharisees, but it ends with the conclusion that “salt therefore is good”. Salt tells the water to “come out of her my people”. This is what we are telling the saints concerning these tech giants that want to control what you can and cannot say, what you can and cannot think. Come out of her my people. They are controlling you through public humiliation, mocking, branding you a "Jesus Freak".

but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? 35 It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

My senior year in college our gospel was very effective on campus. We had a solid core of four or five brothers who would meet every day at lunch and during lunch we would preach the gospel in the cafeteria. My university had five colleges with cafeterias that we would eat at, every day we would eat at a different one. During my last semester I was eating at one of these cafeterias, it might have held 400 and this was way before social distancing. It was packed, wall to wall college kids eating lunch. Each table held ten people and I was sitting at this table in the center of the cafeteria and the other nine seats were empty. At other tables you would see two people sharing a chair, or an eleventh person standing and eating at the table or people heading to the elevators to eat their lunch in their room. It was like one of those western movies where the gunslinger comes in, and everyone else clears out. Don’t get me wrong, for three years there was a lot of mocking, a lot of insults, a lot of friends and family that opposed my stand. There were also many others on the campus that did believe, but they kept it to themselves, and you couldn’t tell them from anyone else. It must have been hard, kind of like Lot “sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked”. The Lord said His yoke was easy and His burden was light, is this really easy? Let’s compare. In the world they are struggling to get to the top of the heap. There are many people who give it everything they have and yet the world still finds issues. These debates about who the greatest of all time is for the various sports is one example. Why isn’t it good enough that they gave it everything they had? Second, what about those who get injured. The Lord asks us to give it everything we have, if we get injured it doesn’t stop us from doing that. But in the world they judge you by the ugly metric of idolatry. In the world you can be an ox working hard, but if you fall into a pit they can have all kinds of reasons why they can’t pull you out. In the world you sit down to build a tower all kinds of things can happen, calamities that are completely beyond your control. Suppose you come to a team and you want to make them into one of the all time great teams whose name is respected and then they trade you? You have no control over that, but in the New Testament we have a covenant, we don’t get traded. It is up to you, you can give 100%, that is your choice. Our being salt indicates that we have a relationship with Jesus and with God. Salt had to be added to all the offerings, it was required. God requires that Jesus have this relationship with us. Also it is not up to you to keep the ark of the covenant from falling. All you need to do is follow the Lord, everything is ultimately on Him. He is the one that is coming with an army. We saw Him coming and the gospel was all about the conditions of peace with God. For the last two thousand years millions, hundreds of millions, even billions of Christians have received Jesus as their peace offering. The peace that we make with God requires that we renounce everything that we are and count it as dung. This is the road we take to the Lord’s second coming. At the time of Jesus the Roman roads were built to transport salt. From the moment Jesus set His face to go to Jerusalem you see this process, He is salting the disciples. “He that is least among you shall be great” dealing with their ego. “The Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head”. Jesus Christ is our offering to God. However we are the salt: “You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the salt of your covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.” (Lev 2:13). We are added to these offerings. Jesus is our peace offering, but you need to add salt to the peace offering and we are the salt. Jesus is the burnt offering, but you need to add salt to the burnt offering and we are the salt. If you have lost your saltiness then you won’t be added. If you want to be part of the Lord’s ministry then you need to be salt. Our gospel message must have salt, that is why it has gone out into all the world. The world needs salt, otherwise all their food rots.

The serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

I have always argued that the Great Red Dragon casting water out of its' mouth as a flood of Biblical proportions would be the collapse of the 3 Gorges dam. Blowing up dams was a key event during WWII to hasten the defeat of Germany and I see WWII as foreshadowing the tribulation. Some say that it is hard to blow up a dam, that is foolish, we blow them up all the time and we know how to do it and water is an excellent medium to transmit pressure. This video makes it clear that Taiwan has made very clear and explicit threats that this would be a counterattack that they would make. Also, China says that the human deaths would be so great that this would discourage any attack, similar to putting your military base next to a hospital. However, the Yangtze river basin has dried up. If you look at this prophecy not only is there a big flood out of her mouth to wash away God's people, the earth opens her mouth and swallows the flood. Because of the drought we can expect any flood to be less than expected. They had predicted a flood that was 20 meters high at the dam and 8 meters high down by the major cities of Wuhan and Shanghai. However, if the river is down 10 meters then this would cut the flood in half up by the dam and pretty much eliminate it down by the major cities.

The only way to extinguish the flaming darts of the enemy is faith in God's promises

Democrat led cities see deserted downtowns, surging crime as residents flee

This article shows which cities and states people are fleeing. I was a teacher, when I see that the Minneapolis school district says lay off white teachers first then of course, I would never go to work in that city. That is a very strong signal to everyone of the racists intent in that city. According to the Bible if they do not welcome you in this city shake off the dust as a testimony against them and go to the next city. The proper response is not to protest, you don't need to march in the street or whine on social media. Instead, pack up and move to another city.

Imagine for a minute that all the white teachers left the Minneapolis school system. If the school system is now better then the school system was justified in saying to lay off white teachers first. If on the other hand the school system is much, much worse it reveals how idiotic this is. We don't need to debate, the whole country can watch to see what happens. Suppose nothing happens, then all that debate and whining was a waste of our time.

The same is true about the laws that are releasing criminals from jail and decriminalizing shoplifting. If everyone leaves San Francisco as a result and the city becomes a wasteland then the whole country will see and be warned about these policies. On the other hand if the city adjusts and things are just fine people will see that as well. But what about these small businesses that are being hit particularly hard? Again, pack up and leave. If you are truly a blessing to the city providing a necessary service, hiring people, paying taxes, etc. then when you leave they will see what a loss that was.

Consider the picture of the rapture in Judges, Samson (the strong man) pushes out the pillars (the church) and then the entire temple to Baal (world's economy under Satan) collapses. The people that they despise, the people that Frank Zappa and John Lennon tried to paint in the ugliest light, the people who are no longer welcome in the city, are in fact the ones holding it up. Take the Christians out with the rapture and everything collapses.

The world will be in total rebellion to God, rejecting Jesus right before the end of the age.

It will be economically and socially normal at the time the Lord comes, just like it was at the time of the mortgage meltdown in 2008.

This is not sad

We were told at the end of the age that the angels would go forth and gather the tares into bundles. This is what we are seeing. The tares are gathering together into large groups.

Whenever I preached the gospel there were always brothers and sisters who disagreed. They might have thought that we needed to tone down the gospel message, perhaps don't make it so exclusionary, perhaps find areas of agreement like all religions worship the same god. Many times they think it is a win if they can pray before some official event even though the rules are they cannot mention Jesus, etc.

Well, if your eyes are open and your ears are open you can hear what the tares are saying. To them the Christians are the problem, their book is the problem, their laws of morality are the problem. This strategy by Christians of appeasement and ecumenism is a total failure. Satan is laughing at you. He doesn't have the slightest intention of compromising. He is happy to lie to you and lead you down the path to the guillotine. Decide now who you are going to worship and do it absolutely.

The gospel of the appeasers has no salt and no light. The purpose of this age is for the Lord to find out who will be faithful in the least.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Satan does not create anything, he is an imitator, he copies, he plagiarizes, and he takes credit for the things God did.

For example, there are very cool movies where the hero gets sent to prison for committing a crime, but that was actually his plan. Jesus, after He was crucified went to the prison. But He didn't go to the good side. When He died He had all of our sins on Him, like the worst, most heinous serial killer. Not only so but the Spirit of God forsook Him, so there was no Spirit of God on Him when He died. So He dies as the worst criminal offender and there is no hint of God the Spirit on Him, He is sent to the lowest Hell. But once there what does He do? He let's them know that He is God, He proclaims that He has conquered sin, and He brings down the whole corrupt system on top of Satan's head.

Now imagine in this movie would you kill off Satan first? Of course not, you want him to see his entire kingdom go up in flames first.

I have concluded that Predictive Programming is true which is why I think believers should have nothing to do with it.

Hollywood movies and TV shows like the Simpsons are not sanctified. But if they can convince people they have insight and truth they get them to watch them. For every bit of truth or insight you get you will also get some poison, like a poison apple. We have seen this with Disney. A counterfeit bill can be 99% accurate, it is still a lie.

I agree that there is predictive programming. I agree that Satan tells us ahead of time what he is going to do. And yet I have never once heard that someone was able to protect anyone from a mass shooting or murder because of something said in a movie.

What I am saying is that this is a trail that Satan wants you to go down, just like putting bread crumbs down for Hanzel and Gretel. Peter says that we have "a more sure word of prophecy".

Acts talks about a woman who had a spirit of python and made her masters a lot of money by predicting the future. Paul kicked that spirit out or her. These are filthy spirits from the serpent. It is an unholy bargain, tell me some little interesting tid bit about the future in exchange for letting Satan inject 90 minutes of poison into your brain.

A more sure word of prophecy

2Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

When I first got saved over 40 years ago I was in college. I had to really focus on my studies, but I also spent many hours at the church meetings and spent my free time reading the word. I was clear from the Lord I needed this. It was sanctifying my mind. I would go through 20 chapters a day in the Bible, often more.

In one class they were talking about the 3 mile event and I asked for someone to explain what they were talking about. The professor was stunned that I didn't know. I explained I didn't have a TV and didn't watch the news. She expressed that I needed to. I asked why? Our school was in Houston, 3 mile Island was in NY. I was never in danger. What would knowing about it have done for me?

On the other hand I felt all the time I spent in the word was valuable, it had helped me a lot, all the time in the church meetings was valuable, all the time doing my school work was valuable. I couldn't see anything in my schedule that was a waste of time.

My point is our time should be devoted to the Lord. If he leads you to watch the news, fine. If He leads you to not watch the news, fine. But if you are looking for a sure word of prophecy it isn't predictive programming, it is the Bible.
