Thou shalt enlarge my heart

The fourth letter -- Dallet the door. Humility, the nullification of the ego, it also represents the poor man, it is blessed to be poor because you are open to receive. Finally there is structure to this letter which signifies a step, these are the steps you take to receive the kingdom.

Psalm 119:25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

This is where we begin, realizing we are made from the dust of the ground. We are nothing, and so it is easy to nullify our ego.

26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

This word "declared" means to count, to recount, to declare. My ways refers to my journey, my road, my path, my direction. Thou heardest me means to answer, respond, testify. So in the last section we learned that like God we needed to share and speak and minister, and our aspiration was to be one for whom God would hear and answer our prayers. Well here he says I have done that and you have answered my prayers. So now his next prayer is to "teach me thy statutes". This refers to a prescribed task that you are to fulfill. You now have a job in the kingdom and you want to fulfill your job. You are looking to God to teach you how to do that. So the prayer is not just what, but also how.

27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

The precepts are the instruction manual, the how to, the nuts and bolts. When we are first saved we are interested in the big picture but as we get more involved and have to actually do the work of an evangelist or a teacher or a pastor we want to know the nuts and bolts, all the instructions. When I was a teacher every year my teaching became more refined. It as all about how to make the most of my 45 minutes. At first it was about how to get the most of my 180 days of class, then how to make the most of my homework assignments, and then how to make the most of every minute of the class time. I studied the best way to put things into the long term memory, what works and what is less effective and what doesn't work.

28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

You melt when the heat is turned on high. When I was teaching the heat was on, we had to perform, we had to get the test results, the principal was under fire and she in turn would turn up the heat on us. It was a heavy burden. You could see the other teachers exhausted, struggling in the heat. But you pray to be strengthened in the world. Get insight, wisdom, knowledge, grace, encouragement, refreshing from the word. And as a result while everyone else is dragging you are still moving with a bounce in your step. One thing I did which the other teachers did not was I would spend fifteen hours a week during the summer preparing lesson plans so that they were ready to go like MRE's. This way I could act with much greater stamina because I had already done the work the previous summer.

29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

Sad to say but there is a way of lying, it is called cheating. The Atlanta school system got caught doing this. I taught for one year at a school in Long Island and this was their way. I refused to take that way so they showed me the door. This happened during a recession and there was a hiring freeze for teachers. There were only two exceptions, Earth Science and Special Ed. Since I was both the Lord was gracious to me and I moved to a school who wanted to do the right thing by the kids.

30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

My goal was simple, I wanted the kids who came into my class to have the very real possibility of scoring at the very top of the entire city of NY if they simply followed my lead. When my son heard this he thought that was the goal of all teachers. Not even close. It may have been at one point, but the reason they talk about demographics, and how many free lunches, and what percent of this or that you have is to make excuses for why their kids don't do as well. In NYC they don't judge you simply by how well your kids do, no it is a complicated formula based on "improvement". Since they don't ever share this formula with you it is nebulous. I understood that. I get that kids in Stuyvesant had to take an exam to get into that school so their starting position is better than my kids. I knew my kids were poor and that caused a whole lot of difficulties they had to overcome. In any given year 25% of them would spend time in a homeless shelter. But I didn't want caveats, I didn't want "all things considered". I wanted them to step onto the court with the top kids in the city and be every bit as good if not better. That was my goal and it seemed reasonable since that is how I understand the Lord's goal. There are not many elites among us, not may of the best and brightest and yet He is going to build us into one new man that brings in the kingdom and conquers Satan.

31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.

Think of David's mighty men. I understood the odds were against me, but I also understood "all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ". That seemed to me to make this an even odds fight.

32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

I like the example of Michael Jordan. He was the most dynamic scorer in all of basketball and yet his team was not able to get to the championship round. So he realized he needed to "enlarge his heart" and so he also became the best defender on the court. Not only would he put up the most points, but he would also shut down the other teams top scorer. But still it wasn't enough. So he realized he needed to enlarge his heart and become a leader on the team. He pushed them to become stronger, to fill out their roles. In critical moments he would trust a role player to take the shot. Then they began to win and become champions. But still he needed to enlarge his heart to forgive and forget. When they got Dennis Rodman they took a player that the rest of the league could not take and who had an ugly history with their team. Step by step by step he was led to enlarge his heart to see year by year how he could improve.

Suppose that life is a test to see who will become ruler. Jesus is the only one in all human history who is worthy to open the scrolls. However, Jesus now needs to select people to work in His government. He decides the best way to choose people is to choose those that choose Him. So we have the gospel.

Now among those that choose Jesus some will live by Him, obey Him, and let Him rule in all things. So just as the US government has tens of thousands even hundreds of thousands of people working for them so too with the kingdom.

However, there will be many who don't choose Jesus and for the most part they will be in charge. Their reign destroys the earth and proves to all that Jesus is Lord. Also they are without complaint because they were given every chance to demonstrate that they could rule and reign and yet failed. This should make them more agreeable to the Lord's reign.

However, some will repent, some won't and will rebel again, in which case they will have to be dealt with permanently. God is a God of mercy, everyone was given every possible chance, but in the end, every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus is Lord.

After the Red Heifer News I said there was an 85% probability that Israel will rebuild the temple in this coming year (the year begins with Rosh Hashanah Sept 25 and goes till next Sept). However, with this announcement I would say that the odds the tribulation begins this Rosh Hashanah is over 90%. If I add in all the other prophecies that have been fulfilled I'd even up this to 95%.

Now I subscribe to the "pre trib" rapture doctrine. However, the evidence that "pre trib" has to be before the 70th week starts with the covenant being confirmed with the many is less certain. Yes, I think that if the 70th week begins next week then the rapture is likely to take place this weekend, but not necessarily. The only prophecy that would be impacted are those taught by Pastor Sandy and even then not so sure they would be impacted.

How do I defeat a giant without a sword and then lead an army that has never followed me to victory?

The fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Heh, the picture is of a mouth, breathing, breath. It indicates spirit, revelation, receiving understanding. The word Heh is a Heh and aleph, it means "see, behold, surely! The name of God has two letter heh's in the word which is four letters (Yud Heh Vav Heh). The numerical value of Heh is 5, and this number signifies the grace of God.

Psalm 119:33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

He prayed twice in the first section to keep the statutes. He prayed twice in the second section to keep the statutes. His testimony in the third section was that he meditated in the statutes. In the fourth section he again prayed that God would teach him His statutes. 22 times in Psalm 19 he will mention the statutes. The number 22 signifies the voice of God. It refers to knowing the mysteries of God. Every statute in the Bible reveals a mystery concerning life, and our purpose on earth. Without God's light from His word everything in life is a confused mess.

34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

The last section we were poor in spirit and as a result could receive God's word and see our ministry. In this section the more we become involved in ministry the hungrier we are for the word. We discover a mystery in one of God's statutes and soon we want to know all of them. We see blessing in our life in observing one of God's statutes so now we want to observe all of them with our whole heart.

35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

In the last section we discovered that God was answering our prayers and now every verse is a prayer.

36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

Why are some inclined to covetousness? To me it is like someone playing chess, it seems like a good first move but you haven't thought out the whole game. Read a few biographies, read others testimonies and then you begin to think where do I want to be at the end of my life. Do I want a giant house, a giant business, a bunch of kids all circling for an inheritance and a bunch of people in the rat race all jockeying for control of my company? What was the point? You can get more satisfaction out of buying a homeless man dinner for $20 than you can get from a $200 dinner. Covetousness is ugly, why would you want to end your life being ugly? The covetous are in a prison they built for themselves. They live in gated communities, surround their house with all kinds of security features, they live in fear of their fellow man. If you have nothing you are never afraid of a thief stealing anything. Jesus said that you needed to have your treasure in heaven where thieves couldn't break in and steal.

37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

It is stunning to me how much time people waste with vanity. TV is vanity, movies are vanity, these video games are vanity. As a result their entire life is vanity. After twenty years you look back and where have you gone? Nowhere, it was just one very big waste of time. However, if you spend time in the word, in His statutes, commandments, testimonies, that is not a waste. You are growing in grace, you are getting insight into mysteries, you are being quickened in the way. I watched the documentary "Free Solo" it is about a man who climbs El Capitan without a rope. It is the most awesome slab of granite on Earth. One mistake and you die. He had to study every step, every handhold, every move from bottom to top. He had to be fully focused on his goal. No wasting time with vanity. He lived in his van and essentially trained continuously. But then when he did it he was "quickened in the way". He was ahead of schedule, accomplishing this incredibly arduous and terrifying task in record time.

38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

We all have opinions. This person may have thought that he could climb El Capitan without a rope. Everyone else would say he is nuts and laugh him to scorn. When you do it, then you stablish your word. The Lord gives you a ministry, it may seem absurd, but once you do it you stablish it. I began this blog about 18 months ago. I intentionally picked a name that would be the opposite of click bait. I intentionally chose not to do videos, thinking it is too easy to watch a video. I wanted to know that if someone came to this blog they were interested in this topic and if they read these posts they were interested enough to put in some labor. After the first day I had 8 views and I figured that was about right. I wasn't concerned about views, I didn't advertise. My main interest was to try and collect as much about the rapture as I could. I wanted everything to be directly tied to the Bible or at least a verse in the Bible. I wasn't looking for "when" I was looking for every and any piece to the puzzle. I was devoted, I posted about ten times a day. At least half the posts were written by me but after awhile I realized I should post links to others because by the mouth of two or three witnesses let a thing be established. I had no idea I would get to where I am today, but like this verse says you pray that the Lord would establish His word unto His servant.

39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

Let's return again to thinking where will you be at the end of your life. Do you want your legacy to be that "you watched 8 hours of TV a day for sixty years"? Do you want your legacy to be that "you played video games for ten hours a day"? If we do not do something with our life of lasting value it is a reproach to us.

40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

The precepts are the instruction manual. How do I do this? Consider David, "how do I defeat the giant without a sword, and then lead the Israeli army to victory?" Surely somehow there is a way that a young boy, doesn't look like a soldier, has no armor, has no training in fighting with a sword and spear, and someone the army has never followed, surely if God intervenes there must be an instruction booklet somewhere that tells me how to do this.

What are God's precepts?

God's precepts are His instructions. You buy a piece of furniture these days they deliver it in a box and you put it together following the instructions.

Let's look at an example.

David is delivering food to the front lines where three of his brothers are fighting. He learns that Goliath is challenging the army and everyone is afraid to fight. He then returns home and tells his dad, Jesse (read the story David had been there before this time he fights with Goliath). He asks Jesse to show him how to defeat this giant. There are a couple of issues, first David doesn't have a shield, a spear, armor or a sword. That means he can't train with them. So even though Saul will later offer them to David it is clear that David has trained for this battle and he didn't train with them. So they need a plan that does not involve state of the art military equipment. The second problem is that David will be in the middle of a field between the two armies. Even if he does kill Goliath what is stopping the Philistines from killing him? Third and most importantly is how do you turn this into a victory for the army? Killing Goliath is all well and good but the goal is to defeat the Philistines so that Israel will be free from their rule.

Now you may say this is impossible. But think of this, God put you into this situation and God is telling you to trust Him so my guess is what is impossible for man is possible for God.

Step one you use what you have and you make the battle favor your strengths. Since you don't have armor or a shield or spear or sword you are light and quick and hard to hit. What you do have is a sling shot and the range on a sling shot is greater than on a spear. So you can stay outside of his range and take shots at him. However, for this to work you need to be skilled, like Steph Curry hitting mid court shots. So the first thing you do is train. Your little stones will not have any effect if they hit his armor or shield, so the only target you have is his face. You draw up a target, you get the right distance away and you practice until you know you can hit that shot.

Step two don't worry about the army following you. What you need to focus on is getting the Philistines to flee from you. If they flee you know the army will pursue. Since you are in front of them they will by definition be following you. To get them to flee, you will have to transform into a very scary monster. Frankenstein is not that scary, the scariest monster is something like a child's toy that seems harmless and instantly transforms into a bloody monster. That is scary. So when you kill Goliath don't just let him lie dead, everyone will be confused if he is really dead or not. No, go up there and cut off the head and hold it up for all to see. You will be covered in blood, you just killed Goliath and in one hand you hold up the head in the other you hold up the sword.

OK, so how do you hold up the head? Do you take off the helmet and grab him by the hair? Is the hair long enough to hold or does he have a crew cut? No, that would be stupid because you want to use the head as a shield and it would be better if you leave the helmet on. Hold it by the ear? The nose? Nope, you want to hold it so that when a Philistine attacks you they can see Goliaths ugly face. The only way to hold it is by the neck and that means when you cut off the head you have to be precise to cut it off at the base of the neck.

Great, good to go. Not yet, still one more thing. Before you kill this guy you need to make a very powerful statement that He has been judged by God. You want your entire army to hear this, you want the Philistines to hear this. When the Philistines are fleeing you want them thinking this is God's judgment, when your army is pursuing you want them realizing God is with us.

This is God's precepts for a young kid who is younger than the soldiers in the army to slay the giant and lead the army to victory.

She Comes from the Sky Word & Poem 9-21-22 @ 1:00pm

Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Are you able to speak my word to others?

Your ball games won't save you. Your leaders cannot save you.

Destruction comes from on high by my righteous hand.

From the sky, from the sky, a rock from the heavens shall fly into the oceans deep causing waters to rise in heaps.

Weep and wail for destruction has come, not two but one for all shall feel the effects in some way of what is to come.

The elite, the powerful, the wealthy shall flee. Sounding no warning my rock shall come to thee. If not for prayer prayed for mercy by three you would not have more time to prepare than the four hours given previously unto thee.

The prayer of a righteous person my children can and does make a difference availing much when prayed in my holy name. Fall on your knees, its time to repent, because if you don't my anger I'll not relent. I am righteous, holy and love but judgment of sin still comes from my throne above.

Through the sky will fly this rock sent by me, a flaming fiery sight for all to see. That will all but be muffled by the powers that be. Except for three, giving some time to flee in me.

Destruction is imminent children, sorrows come. Did not I warn you to prepare your hearts in me. Sorrows come, it comes, beginning from the skies. A black time, a dark time, for the calendar to see. This month of sorrows has now come upon thee.

Upon impact the waters shall rise high. Look all around, it's no ordinary tide. A rumbling within the ocean's floor, Causing judgments powerful hand to land at Satan's hidden. doors.

A place hidden deep, but you can't hide from me. I see all the innocent lives you took so freely. A time of judgment a time of woe, as this fireball rock continues to glow. Streaking across the sky at great velocity of speed in the Pacific surely she shall fall upon thee.

Run little children, run into me. Death comes a knocking in the numbers 1, 2 and 3. Death from above, death from debris, death from shock that's the first number of three. Death from the waters, tall as can be, death for those found riding upon oceans and seas. Death caused by slides on the ground, can't you see, now you have the second count of three. Death from the quaking and shaking of the Earth below, which shall cause chain reactions bringing with it in tow a reawakening of mountains spitting liquid fire, causing death to some caught in the sudden fiery mire. Difficulty in breathing shall bring death to some. Making the third of three as this hand is done.

Oh how I would have lovingly taken you into my great arms of love and shown you great mercy. The rock, the rock, this asteroid rock, she comes, she comes for jubilee ends. Unseen by all the technology of man. Until the moment I let many see and the cries of many muffled will be. Except for the three now chosen by me who shall now give warning that shall be seen and received. Because some of my children were willing to sacrifice their time and cry humbly out to me. Judgment hand is swift and harsh for such is punishment deserving for sins not repented of after mercy's hand is no longer extended for all. When judgment falls upon a nation, a people, it falls upon all both rich and poor, both small and great, the unjust and just.

Now reap, reap what you've sown. Wicked seeds grow ill gotten seeds which bring judgments hand down for sins not repented of. You are now at this point.

But for those who are mine, truly mine, I say do not fear, do not fear, do not fear. I've got you, you are engraved in the palm of my hand. I will never forsake you, I will not abandon you. I am faithful, I am faithful forever, for all eternity. Run into Me and trust Me for I am your shelter in this storm. But little children it's time to work. Work the fields for as this rock appears in your skies suddenly upon suddenlies will come quicker than a rolling stone gathering speed coming from a very steep mountain. Gather anything you still need, seek me individually, on what each should do or need. You must seek Me for answers and not my daughter for she is seeking Me for answers herself on all I'm showing her. And all like her who have risen to the call to shout out my warnings regardless of being ridiculed, having false accusations continually arising, their family and friends walking away from their lives.

Connecting heaven to sinful man

The Sixth letter, the Vav, connects heaven to earth, it depicts the connecting force of God, the divine hook. This is the number six in Hebrew and is associated with man. Vav looks like a nail and if a word starts with a Vav it is a prefix meaning and. The first use is in Genesis where it says God created the heavens and the earth. The word and there, connecting heaven and earth, is a Vav. So we know that it is Jesus who connects heaven and earth, we know that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, so He is the real Vav.

Psalm 119:41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

How can we connect heaven to a sin filled world? God's mercy. That mercy is a salvation to us.

42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

In the last section we got a view of grace, we got a view of how great God's word can be, it is the goal, the vision we need lest we perish. However, here is where we are laboring on that cursed land by the sweat of our brow. We are being cut by the thorns. People reproaching us.

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

Sad to say we still get angry, we are still sinful, we have not been fully sanctified yet. So our prayer is while we suffer on this earth that has been cursed because of sin that we would not fully lose the word of truth. Paul said "be angry and sin not". Earlier this evening I was very angry at a driver in front of me. They could have pulled out of the parking lot by turning right but they didn't want to so they waited and waited to turn left without any regard to the fact people were behind them. I was angry and I voiced my anger to my wife, but I did not curse.

44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

We need mercy. I desire to keep the word for ever and ever, but I am still a man of flesh. Some things get me angry. That person did not get my wife angry. She has her issues, I have mine, but we are both men of flesh who desire to be sanctified and transformed into the image and likeness of God.

45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Later while watching the news I figured out how to greatly reduce crime. Prisons have TV's, they have computers, and internet, and phones. As a result in many countries the organized crime is often run from the prison. El Salvador put a stop to that and they went from being the most dangerous country in the world to the safest country in the Americas. My thought is this, if you are sent to prison we will have no TV, no Youtube, no movies. You will have bible study, small group meetings, and books you can read. Not cheap dime store novels and trashy novels. Will they complain? So what, you don't like it don't break the law. How do you talk to your family? Well you still have an opportunity to visit once a week and they can use land lines at the prison that are monitored. Every call would be recorded and documented in the event that a crime were to occur these records could be used at trial. In other words prison would be a place where people would be ministered to. The same is true with the music they play. How idiotic that the prisons cater to what criminals want for music, entertainment, and communicating with "their homies".

46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

My expertise is inner city High School education. I'm sure we have Christians who have expertise in all sorts of fields including law enforcement and correction. But right now what correction do prisoners get? Is there even an effort to correct them? Job skills are nice, but from my understanding illiteracy is much higher among the prison population than the general population. So that seems to me to be the single biggest area of focus. Second, if you can adjust the criminal so that the attitude changes and they want to change their life then it would be easy to arrange work study outside the prison. Kings should be concerned with crime, with education, with all the key issues in society.

47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

All of us are "criminals". Everyone of us is a sinner. How do you transform a person who is a sinner into one that loves the commandments? Simple. Why do people hate commandments? Because they are always against you, saying you are wrong. It seems like someone is always out to get you and they use the "commandments" to do it. So of course people hate them. Now suppose the commandments are always out to help you, to guide you, to see that you succeed. Well then I would learn to delight myself in they commandments. I knew if I had this reputation with the kids in my class then they would not hate the class and I also knew that as long as a kid does not hate the class there is hope.

48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

What happened to the US, how did we fall so fast, so hard? We abandoned the commandments. We were taught to hate the commandments and we were stopped from meditating on thy statutes. Did you know that in 1900 we had over 14 states that would start school everyday by reading a verse from the Bible? Did you know the first and by far the most effective reader that kids learned to read with was based on Bible stories. It wasn't until they switched to the Dick and Jane books that kids started to hate to read. You don't need to wait till prison, if you brought the Bible back into the schools you could transform US schools from 28th worldwide to #1.

How to be comforted

Zayin is the seventh letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the numerical value is 7. It means crown, weapon, sustain. The letter looks like a sword with the top of the letter being the handle it also looks like a crown and scepter. Seven was the day of rest, the day we are to stop, examine our week and see that everything comes from God. In the New Testament seven is the church. The seven lampstands in Revelation are the seven churches. Noah was on the ark with seven, just as Jesus is with the church as we go through the tribulation. Leah, the bride of Israel who signifies the Gentiles (she had blue eyes) had seven kids, six boys and one girl.

49 Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

The Bible presents the hope of glory to us which includes ruling and reigning with Christ, being the bride of Christ and being raptured.

50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

If you focus on this word you will be comforted. There is very high inflation in the US and it is worse in other countries. One study said the average family in America will spend an extra $11,500 a year because of the inflation. So the vast majority of Americans are feeling this pinch. You can see the drumbeat of war and everyday we hear of threats of nuclear war. There is nothing comforting in looking at current events or the news. However, the Bible is extremely comforting because we see red heifers going to Israel so they can begin to build the temple and start the sacrifices again, that is a fulfillment of prophecy telling us we are very close. Israel being returned to the Jews was a prophecy, so it is very comforting to see that. The six day war and return of Jerusalem to Israel 19 years later was also a fulfillment of prophecy. Trump moving the embassy to Jerusalem in 2017 was a fulfillment of prophecy. Also, Israel saying they will agree to split their country with the Palestinians and will announce that at the UN is a fulfillment of prophecy. If you see this then you can be comforted, encouraged, and your faith strengthened.

51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.

They are translating torah as "law" but it is really a reference to the word of God. During my life I was held in great derision for preaching the gospel. I went to an elite university that prided itself in being atheists and too smart for God. They mocked the account of Noah (yet are clueless that this story has been fully confirmed even finding the ark and finding Noah's house after the flood). To me it is like being on a sailing ship that is cutting through the waves and sailing into the wind. You keep a steady course, unwavering and all that derision is like the foaming of the sea.

52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself.

The derision from people in the world is the least of my concerns. The worst cases are what happens in the church among believers. But the judgements of old on false prophets like Balaam and Judas and the the judgments on the rebellious like Korah, and the egotistical like king Saul. These things comfort me. It helps you see that he who laughs last laughs best.

53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

You want to see a real horror movie just learn about what is really happening with the Moloch and Baal worshippers, those who are drinking human blood and having human sacrifices, and the nephilim. If the whole Noah story has been confirmed then that includes the giants, and those who are descended from fallen angels.

54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

So you want to know what he is referring to by "statutes" think of our songs. "Great is thy faithfulness", "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine", "Amazing Grace", "Christ the Lord is risen", "God will take care of you", "Holy, holy, holy", "I surrender all", "A Mighty Fortress is our God", etc, etc.

55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law.

When things get dark remember the name of Jesus, it is like lighting a candle. Then open the word and read it just like Abe Lincoln. Then you will have peace like a river as you behold the rock of ages.

56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

That is one of the precepts for what to do when things get dark, and how to be comforted when you see the news, and how to cheer up after witnessing the horror of the demons and nephilim. There is power in the blood, so use it. Trust and obey, so read the word and you'll know what to trust and obey.

Have you experienced the outstanding resurrection?

The Eighth letter in the Hebrew Alphabet is Chet, the symbol is a doorway (not the door but the doorway). The pronunciation of this letter sounds like the word for sin. This letter points to Jesus as the one who bore our sin, took it out of the house and outside the camp. It is faith in Jesus that allows us to cross over from death into life. This is the only way to God. Jesus takes our sin away and gives us His righteousness. The number 8 indicates a new beginning in Christ, in the resurrection life. The Lord's day is the 8th day.

Psalm 119:57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.

This is past tense. The beauty of experiencing the fellowship of Christ's sufferings and the outstanding resurrection is that you can then say that Christ is your portion. No longer is it "I will seek" or is it a prayer "teach me thy statutes" but you have something to stand on. You have taken a stand for the Lord. This is not once for all, it is like a bicycle wheel, it goes around and around during your entire Christian journey. But in the same way, once you have ridden the bicycle you can now say "I can ride a bicycle", from that point on you simply get stronger, faster, better.

58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

What a wonderful contrast. In the world they teach you to entreat the favor of your boss. They teach you to carefully choose a mentor who will lead you on your career path. At this point you have made your decision, I want God's favor, I want the Bible to be my mentor.

59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

I am always stunned when I see some guy like Bernie Madoff who was successful and financially secure decide to become a full blown scam artist. Even if you get to 80 before you get caught eventually you get caught, you get exposed and your whole life's testimony becomes an ugly story that people hate and ridicule. Why would you do that? I went to my cousins funeral and was taken by complete surprise, it seemed the entire community had come out. There had to be a thousand people there. It was standing room only. He had done so much for the community everyone wanted to show respect. We are on this earth for a limited amount of time, we are headed down a path that ends with our death. Turn your feet to be a testimony of the Lord, don't be a Bernie Madoff.

60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Don't you love this! There are people who know what God commands and they drag their feet. Yes, they kept the commandment, but you had to drag them across the finish line. This was not his testimony. God gave the word and he jumped to it immediately.

61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

You will be tested. You will be robbed, slandered, ridiculed, and insulted. The enemy will look for any weakness to get you to forget the Lord's word.

62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

At midnight, the darkest part of the night, when it might seem all hope is lost then you get that righteous judgement. Most of the enemies threats are a paper tiger. It is like that big paper banner the football team runs through at the beginning of the game. They give big threats and try to scare you but in the end you run right through it like it is a piece of paper.

63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Once you have experienced the Lord's outstanding resurrection you are "on the Lord's team". It is like you survived training camp and you made the team. Their is a fellowship. I would never want to go to heaven and be surrounded by Paul, and James and Peter and Luke and all these wonderful brothers and sisters if I also did not have some experiences of the Lord's death and resurrection. To me heaven is like sitting in the pub after the rugby game, everyone is covered in mud, sweat, and maybe a little blood. I don't want to be the guy at the table with the pristine jersey because I spent the entire game from the sidelines. I want to be with people who have gone through what I have gone through and with whom I can have fellowship.

64 The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

There are so many opportunities. I love to listen to DTBM talk about preaching the gospel, it opens your eyes to all the various opportunities around you. I love when other brothers and sisters share their testimony. I remember this one brother who was a construction worker talking about how he went up to the biggest guy and said "Do you want to know why God made you so big?" and then handed him tract titled "the purpose of man". That week I was in campus at one of the colleges. Myself and two other brothers were going to distribute gospel tracts to the entire cafeteria. They knew we were coming and you could tell Satan had them all stirred up. The other two brothers were scared so I split the room in half and gave them the half that was less scary. Then I went up to the table in the center where the football players were sitting. I went up to the guy who was obviously the one the rest of them were showing respect to and I said the same thing "Hey big man, do you want to know why God made you so big?" and put down the same tract "the purpose of man". Later when we came back together the two brothers were talking to me in a whisper, that guy is the big man on campus! They couldn't believe I had gone straight up to him. They wanted to know what I had said and I told them. Eventually there were only four of us left in the cafeteria, the three of us and that football player. He had not touched the tract. He got up, carried his tray to where they wash the dishes and then as he walked out his hand landed right on that tract and he walked out with the tract. Even he was afraid to be seen by anyone taking that tract. There is so much to learn about everything and we can do that by spending time in the word and in fellowship with others.

When you see all these things -- one earthquake, or one volcano, or one war is not a sign of the Lord's coming, the sign of the Lord's coming is when you see all these things at the same time.
