Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?

1Kings 9:6 “But if you or your descendants turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, 7 then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. 8 This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ 9 People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’”

It is of God that we scoff at the apostasy, at those who have forsaken the Lord their God, at those who embrace other gods. Enough with the "bless me" club and the "prosperity gospel". It is time to scoff at them, have them become a byword and an object of ridicule. When they said that preaching the gospel was obnoxious, when they forbid prayer in schools, when they wanted abortions to be legal and paid for with tax dollars, when they said the Bible was out of date, when they did all of these things they opened the door and invited scorn to be heaped on their heads.

A couple of issues.

1. Yes, the two witnesses prophesy for 1260 days during the tribulation. However there is no verse that says their prophesy begins on the first day of the tribulation.

2. Yes, the temple will be rebuilt, but not on day 1 of the tribulation and it will be a prefabricated building because you are not allowed to have the sound of the hammer on the temple mount.

3. Yes, the Antichrist has not yet been revealed and the start of the 70th week is when he confirms the covenant with the many. However, that is not when he is revealed. He is revealed when the restrainer steps out of the way which many interpret as the rapture before the hour of trial.

Therefore I agree with his three points but not with the conclusion that these three indicate the tribulation has not started yet based on those three facts.

Proverbs 28:1-5 Recognizing Evil Men

1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth; But the righteous are bold as a lion.

This is why two can chase ten thousand, we have the blood of Jesus. Why is it that Jesus said “forgive them for they know not what they do”? Surely some of them did know what they did. It is because those that didn’t know what they did will confess and repent when they get the light. This is why we have whistleblowers, they see the light, they see what they have done, they repent. But the wicked do not repent, they know what they have done, they hate the light. Shine the light and they will flee.

2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; But by men of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

I find it amazing how confident, even how boastful our leaders are when they are running for office telling us they will squash this pandemic, or that any president who has this many die while he is in charge should resign, or elect me and I’ll end the human rights abuses at the border. We heard all of this and then two years later where are they? Where is the accountability? Two years ago there was nothing they couldn’t do, no one they couldn’t condemn, and now it is “has anyone seen the president?” “Who is in charge?” “Where did everyone go?”

3 A needy man that oppresseth the poor Is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

What a great expression, “a needy man”. Our government is a needy man. All you ever hear day after day from them is how they need this and they need that. However, every so often we get an administration that is both needy and oppresseth the poor. Inflation oppresseth the poor. Think about this last year, this “needy man” needed trillions of dollars in stimulus because of the pandemic and they swept through the land with this rain. Yet once the rain had swept through was there any food left behind? Inflation is high, interest rates are high, and layoffs are looming and the situation for the poor is much worse than it was two years ago.

4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked; But such as keep the law contend with them.

Many people are confused by this. It is a topsy turvy world in which good is evil and evil is good. This is because the leaders have forsaken the law. They are all narcissists, so if they are adulterers then adulterers are good and the faithful are evil. Everyone can see how evil are the things being taught in some schools, pornography for elementary school kids, teaching kids to hate one another and judge others by the color of their skin, and yet they want to call the parents who protest “domestic terrorists”. They praise people like Jussie Smollett and the guy who ran FTX, when you see that know that they have forsaken the law. But consider the ones who contend with them, that is evidence that they keep the law. Jesus said that keeping the law was evidence that you love the Lord. We love the Lord, we keep His commandments and guess what, as a result we contend with those who forsake the law. We know that the tribulation will begin when the restrainer steps aside, the Holy Spirit who is restraining sin and the flesh. However, it is those who love the Lord, keep His commandments and contend with the wicked who are one with the Holy Spirit in restraining the wicked. It is the rapture when these ones are taken away that unleashes the floodgates for the tribulation.

5 Evil men understand not justice; But they that seek Jehovah understand all things.

I used to think that the Supreme court justices were some of the wisest people on earth understanding all things, able to discern right and wrong. But then I heard Sonya Sotamayer say that there are many zombie babies who respond to stimulus and don’t actually feel pain and that 100,000 kids were in the ICU on ventilators due to Covid when there are only a handful on ventilators and about 5,000 in the hospital. Since then I have come to realize that evil men do not understand justice. They attacked Kavanaugh for an alleged attack on a woman in high school and yet when they have multiple witnesses against Biden or Cuomo they are silent. These are evil men, they don’t understand justice. However, if you apply yourself to seek the Lord you will understand justice and even understand all things.

Recognizing Evil men

1. They flee when no one pursues them. Think of Macbeth’s wife. In contrast the righteous will take on huge odds, 100:1, even 1,000:1 because they know they are right.
2. They will tell you whatever you want to hear when they are trying to make a sale, but when it comes time to be accountable they disappear and are nowhere to be found.
3. They are needy, talking about everything they need and yet they take what they need from the poor, from those who are far needier than they are.
4. They praise the wicked, they call good evil and evil good, and when you dig down on this you learn it wasn’t a mistake, it is because they have forsaken the law.
5. They do not understand justice. When you finally hear them out on a weighty matter concerning justice you discover they are complete morons.

Proverbs 28:6-10 Who is perfect?

6 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, Than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

The key word here is “better”. He isn’t saying that we should all aspire to being poor. Rather he is saying that all the money in the world does not make up for someone who is perverse in his ways. When you show up at the judgment seat of Christ it is far better to show up poor but having walked in integrity than to be someone who is perverse in his ways and yet very rich. If you understand that you would never exchange your integrity for some perverse way. I heard Dan Bongino talking about a trip he took with his wife. He bought her a very expensive bracelet and it had fallen off her wrist. They couldn’t find it. Finally he went back to the store where he had bought it and a woman had turned it in. She made sure that several people at the store saw her return it so that no one at the store could steal it. When Dan went to the store they gave him his bracelet. What that woman did was “to walk in her integrity”.

7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son; But he that is a companion of gluttons shameth his father.

What is a “glutton”? These are greedy people. They don’t eat because they are hungry. People should eat to live, but a glutton lives to eat. Why would you be a companion of such a person? If you have a calling, a mission for your life you would never be a companion to a glutton. There was a fork in the road, you chose to be rich rather than to walk in integrity. You saw the bracelet and you stole it. No longer are you eating to live, now you are living to eat. Once you take this path you will discover there are other gluttons on the same road you are on. Your father is the one who gives you a mission, a calling, once you exchange that calling for being a glutton you bring shame to your father.

8 He that augmenteth his substance by interest and increase, Gathereth it for him that hath pity on the poor.

The concept here is of usury or extortion. Think about organized crime, they make money through usury and extortion. What happens to their money? They can’t put it in the bank, the IRS will catch them, they can’t buy something like a car or house, the IRS will catch them. They buy gold chains, they stack cash just like the guy in Breaking Bad. But in the end what happens to the money? Jesse gave his money to that single mother. Walt couldn’t give his money to his wife or kid, they wouldn’t take it and it would make them an accomplice. Instead he had to give it to a very wealthy person to give to his son as part of a charity. The only way the extortioner can access the money is to gather it for him that hath pity on the poor.

9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

What a contrast! James says the prayer of a righteous man availeth much, and here it says the prayer of a man who has turned away his ear from hearing the law is an abomination.

10 Whoso causeth the upright to go astray in an evil way, He shall fall himself into his own pit; But the perfect shall inherit good.

The evil dig a pit. The pandemic was a pit dug by evil men. They made the virus, they made the cure, and they made the vaccine. The pit was designed to catch men but here we are and they have become entangled in the pit. We know that China and Fauci and the NIH were involved. We know a bunch of scientists lied about it and they are involved. We are only two years into the biggest holocaust in human history and already we are gathering the records, the money trail, the emails, the phone records, and one by one they will all be caught in their pit and guess who will inherit the good? Not the one that is simply better or simply wise, but “the perfect”.

Who is perfect?

1. Walk in integrity

2. Keep the law as a wise son

3. Have pity on the poor

4. Your prayer is effectual with God

5. You contend with the wicked who have dug a pit for the upright

Proverbs 28:11-16 What should we pray for?

11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; But the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

Goliath was a rich man who was wise in his own conceit. David was a poor man that had understanding and searched him out. Jericho thought they were a rich city with a great wall, Joshua was a poor man who had understanding and searched them out. The same was true of Pharaoh and Moses. If you have a calling, a mission, you don’t need to worry about being poor. Instead, like James said, pray for wisdom and understanding, that is what you need.

12 When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.

The wicked don’t talk about being loved, they talk about “being feared”. These see “men hiding themselves” as a worthy goal. But for us who are called our goal is “Christ in you, the hope of glory”.

13 He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.

The end does not justify the means. Rather, the Lord’s blood justifies the sinner who confesses and forsakes his sins. Do not think that because “your heart is good” or your “goal is good” that therefore it justifies you hiding your sins and covering your transgressions. Your transgressions are like a person with a nazarite vow getting shaved. You start at 0. However, from the moment you confess and forsake those transgressions the hair of your vow begins to grow again. It is a minor set back. In a few months you will be back in the power of that vow.

14 Happy is the man that feareth alway; But he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

It is stunning to me that some begin their path fearing the Lord and somewhere along that path they stop fearing alway. They become the unrighteous judge that doesn’t fear God. Why did they harden their heart? They are not wicked, they are not companions of gluttons, they didn’t dig a pit for the upright, but they did harden their heart. You can’t walk the narrow path in your own righteousness, you can only walk by faith in the Lord. These are “good” people who discovered that being “good” is not sufficient, you must be a man of faith. Rather than humbling themselves, admitting they can’t do it in themselves and turning to the Lord, instead they harden their hearts. Without the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts they will fall into mischief.

15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear, So is a wicked ruler over a poor people.

Now you have a problem. If you are a ruler without faith you will fall into mischief and become a “wicked ruler”. For example, I was a teacher. If you have a principal who is a person of faith with a vision this person will be on top of what is happening. Going to the principal will help you become a better teacher, the path will be laid out for everyone to triumph in glory. But if the principal is not a person of faith they will not be on top of things, rather they will be reacting to everything that happens, you will see them putting out one fire after another. No one wants to go to that principal, it is like a roaring lion. The faithful leader is like a good shepherd, you will see all the teachers flocking to that principal knowing that staying close to the shepherd protects them from the wolves. The wicked ruler is worse than the wolves.

16 The prince that lacketh understanding is also a great oppressor; But he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

We all lack wisdom, we all lack understanding. If you apply for a job at a school you want to know that the principal has wisdom and understanding, but even if they lack that you can still work there as long as the principal hates covetousness. That is the key. They can always pray for wisdom, but if they don’t hate covetousness have nothing to do with them, find another school.

What should we pray for?

1. Pray for understanding. Pray not to be “rich in your own conceit”.
2. Pray that Christ would be your hope of glory. Pray that others would trust you rather than fear you.
3. Pray for mercy. Do not justify your transgressions.
4. Pray for faith to walk this walk.
5. Pray for a vision to accomplish your mission.
6. Pray for understanding and hate covetousness.

You can't have the 70th week without the beast and the mark of the beast. To have that we would need a sophisticated satellite system hooking up the entire world (like Starlink), a super computer like a Quantum computer (like the one Musk has), digital currency (like the currency the Central Banks are all testing right now), RFID technology and a way to sell the whole thing like a digital passport with vaccine record (like they introduced during the pandemic). You need all that for the mark of the beast.

But there is more, one verse says "who can make war with the beast" so we will need an army of cyborgs connected to this super computer.

So we don't have that now and it could be six months before we do.

However, there is nothing saying that we would have the beast prior to the start of the 70th week, only that once we do have it we will be in the 70th week.

Not only so the person who brings out the beast is called a false prophet so he will need a platform designed to manipulate people (like Twitter)

But even if you have all that you would still need the mockers and scoffers who say nothing has changed in the last 2,000 years or laughing about getting a big screen TV.

What are we supposed to be doing at the end of the age as we see the day approach?

2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Do not bear those who are evil. Reject them. Test those who claim to be apostles and find out which ones are liars. Persevere, have patience, labor the Lord's name, don't become weary. Finally, above all love the Lord. Religious people are self righteous, judgemental and have left the one who saved them from their sins. Don't take that path.

9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.

This is simple, don't fear the things you are about to suffer.

13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent

This is what you are about to suffer. You will be surrounded by Satan's minions sent out from his throne. Hold fast the Lord's name, don't deny the Faith, even as you see those around you being martyred. Also, do not put up with Balaam but expose him. He teaches people to eat things sacrificed to idols (an idol is anything that you would sacrifice for other than God.) and he teaches to commit sexual immorality. If you see that taking place at your church, leave. Also the doctrine of the Nicolaitans is that the Clergy are above the laity. Every one of us will have to appear before the Lord for the things we have done. We will not be able to blame the pastor.

19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent

Works, love, service, faith and patience, all things we should be full of at the end of days. However, this doesn't mean that we allow Jezebel to teach. Sexual immorality is not something to wink at. It doesn't matter if it is heterosexual, homosexual, or whatever. Also we don't sacrifice to idols. If they have Kanye West performing at your church, time to leave. If they have a Superbowl party, time to leave.

“I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent.

Be watchful. Pay attention to the signs, pay attention to the prophecies, pay attention to the apostasy. Remember how the Protestant revolution began, how Martin Luther and many of the others worked through the key doctrines of the Bible. That is how we received, this is how we need to watch and go through these prophecies.

8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

We have an open door for the gospel here in the US. We can study the word, share the word, teach the word, preach the word, and no one can shut this door on us. Therefore keep the Lord's word that we are His witnesses and don't deny His name. Keep the Lord's commandment to persevere. If you do all that then you have already been tested and no need to stay for the hour of trial that will test all those who have not done all that.

5 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent

It is very straightforward on how to help a Christian whose love has grown cold, and also it is very easy to share with a Christian who is hot for the Lord. But if you have become lukewarm it induces vomit. You aren't hot, not interested in anything anyone else is sharing and you aren't cold, not offended. Instead you are boastful about how rich you are and how you need nothing. What you need to be doing is buying gold refined in the fire, paying the price for white garments, and eye salve to anoint your eyes.
