Behold a basket of summer fruit

Amos 8:1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.

2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.

There is a play on words where the word in Hebrew for summer sounds like "the end". So this is talking about a basket of fruit at the end. So Amos sees those who are harvested at the end of the age and "the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day". This is what we understand, that at the same time as some are raptured the judgment on the apostate church falls.

But my interest in this blog is not so much about that. It is important to know so that we can put this chapter on a timeline. My interest is what will we see prior to this? What will be the signs of the end of the age? Therefore I am going to go back to Amos 7 to see what is happening right before Amos sees a basket of summer fruit and people howling, and many dead bodies, and people casting the dead bodies forth in a stupefied silence.

It shall not be

Amos 7:1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

3 The Lord repented for this: It shall not be, saith the Lord.

In this first vision we can equate Jacob to the church at the end of the age. I say this because judgment must begin with the house of God and that is the church according to Paul in Ephesians. I could certainly refer to Israel as well, but at the moment in time I am interested in, right before the rapture this can be applied to the church.

So here we are, late in the summer after the first mowing, the first reaping of the corn or the wheat or the grass. Many expositors say that the vision is not of grasshoppers, but of God forming grasshoppers, it is a verb, not a noun. We see these giant grasshoppers during the tribulation in the book of Revelation, but that is after the rapture. What we see here is a prophet gets a vision of what is to come and prays on behalf of the church and the Lord hears his prayer and says this will not be. Doesn't mean it won't ever be because we know in Revelation we do see these terrifying grasshoppers. No, it means the church won't see them prior to the rapture.

We have seen the church "mowed down" with a great diminishing of the influence of the church over the last 80 years. We have also seen prophets who have had terrifying visions of what is to come on the earth including giants, nephilim, demons, fallen angels, great delusions, and the like. I have shared all this in the blog. And there are many Christians who pray on their knees for the Lord to have mercy on the church, I have shared about them as well.

So I would say we have seen this. Let's move on.

as close as this is, it is still past tense

Amos 7:4 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

5 Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

6 The Lord repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.

Jesus said it would be as the days of Lot when he left Sodom, that was a great fire, but Lot was rescued first. At the time of Noah we are told that the next judgment will be by fire, but again, the rapture takes place first. There is a description of the green grass and trees being burned up during the tribulation, and of men being burned by the Sun. So the book of Revelation does describe a fire, but that is after the church is taken. In 1Corinthians we are told that the fire will test our work, if you build with wood, hay or stubble it will be burnt up, if you build with gold, silver and precious stones it will remain. So then we can see this fire as burning up the apostasy and the heretical teachings. But prior to the rapture we will have a "shot across the bow".

Today COP28 and Agenda 2030 are both scaring people about the catastrophic impact of climate change and how the whole earth is going to burn up and we have to accept a bunch of draconian rules immediately and hand over all rule and authority to a dictator to save us. Many Christians will see through this, stand against it and pray to the Lord. The New Testament refers to spirit filled believers who do this as "the restrainer" and the restrainer must be removed before the Antichrist can be revealed. On the other hand the apostate church will embrace ecumenism, ignore many of the warnings of the New Testament, and be caught by surprise by this fire which will burn them up after the rapture.

We have seen this as well, but primarily since the Paris accords and particularly these last few months when we saw Agenda 2030 and COP28.

We are getting very close to where we are today, but as close as this is, it is still past tense.

The third vision --This is where we are today and this is what Amos saw right before seeing the rapture.

Amos 7:7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.

A plumbline is a very simple way to get a very straight, perpendicular line. This is how you apply a standard. For example, when I applied to college they would tell you that you needed an SAT score over a certain number to apply. It was a simple yet effective standard to know if you would be able to handle the courses. Now if they have more people meeting that criteria than they have room for they then look at other factors. However, today they have done away with standards as they apply a focus on diversity. Instead of one SAT score for all applicants there is a sliding scale depending on the color of your skin.

8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

So at the time of the rapture the Lord does away with this sliding scale. In church anyone can come in, all are welcome, we love the sinners and hate the sin. But the rapture is like being accepted to the top university that is very hard to get into. This is what "many are called, few are chosen" means.

9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

Isaac means laughter, "high places of laughter". We would call this "clown world". Clown world will be desolate. Right now people can say and do absurd, ridiculous things and it seems "anything goes". But once the rapture takes place you will be utterly rebuked, like someone wiping you off their boots the way they would wipe dog poop off. Sanctuaries of Israel were built for calves, like Moloch worship. We are talking about FreeMasons, Jesuits, Megachurches and tele-evangelists will all be laid waste. Jeroboam was the king who set up a place of worship in the North to make sure the Israelites did not go to Jerusalem. This is the root of division of the church. These are the great denominations with the billion dollar trust funds.

10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.

11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.

12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:

13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.

So what we are looking at here is censorship at the "deep state" level. They control what you speak and threaten you with prison or worse.

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

Sounds like one of these guys with a podcast or a youtube channel.

16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.

They don't simply censor what you say, they tell you what you can't say. You are forbidden to talk about Covid19, or about election integrity, or Hunter Biden's laptop, etc.

17 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

It is like a pressure cooker. If you put a pot on the stove and you clamp down the lid so it can't let out any steam ultimately it will explode. This is what is about to happen to the US, it is about to explode and there will be a judgement on all these ones in the Federal government, in the tech platforms and in some churches that forbade you from speaking the word of God. The rapture is this explosion. This is where we are today and this is what Amos saw right before seeing the rapture.

Lord Jesus, we come before you standing on your blood which has redeemed us from the world, and from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious light of Your gospel and Your kingdom. Lord Jesus today we lift up the burden concerning Hollywood, and Disney, and all of these Satanic and demonic actors and actresses. They have despised you O Lord, they have mocked and ridiculed and done everything they could to exalt themselves. So Lord we pray that You would bring them down from their lofty perch. They lifted their hand against You, they have a confederacy against the You and Your children and we were at peace with them. So we pray dismay them, may all these media companies be dismayed and slaughtered, may their ratings plummet, may they be fully exposed and put to shame. They have provoked the world to hate Christians and behave abominably towards them, for this violence may they be cut off forever and may shame cover them. Lord Jesus they rejoice when evil befalls evangelical Christians, they rejoice when those who are born again suffer ill treatment, and they speak proudly in that day. So Lord we pray that as they have done it will be done unto them. That those who they called friend would betray them, loot them, and expose their shame. Lord Jesus we pray that the believers would be filled with holy fire and that Hollywood and these actors would be like kindling that goes up in flames.

The appointed time

מוֹעֵד môwʻêd, mo-ade'; or מֹעֵד môʻêd; or (feminine) מוֹעָדָה môwʻâdâh; (2 Chronicles 8:13), from H3259; properly, an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically, a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand):—appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn(-ity), synogogue, (set) time (appointed).

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, H4150 and for days, and years:

The signs in the heaven are for the appointed times.

Genesis 17:21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time H4150 in the next year.

God's promises are fulfilled at the appointed time

Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed H4150 I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

The Lord will return at the appointed time

Genesis 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time H4150 of which God had spoken to him.

Prophecies are fulfilled at the appointed time

The KJV translates Strong's H4150 in the following manner: congregation (150x), feast (23x), season (13x), appointed (12x), time (12x), assembly (4x), solemnity (4x), solemn (2x), days (1x), sign (1x), synagogues (1x).

Zechariah 4 Wake up, look at what the Lord has built

1 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep. 2 He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven channels to the lamps. 3 Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.” 4 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” 5 He answered, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I replied. 6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. 7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’” 8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. 10 “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?” 11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?” 12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?” 13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I said. 14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth.”

We need to wake up and see what it is we are building. What is the church? We are a light set on a hill for the whole world to see. This light exposes the darkness, the corruption, the lies, the deceits, the murders. This lamp is not a single light but is seven in one. We shine a light concerning righteousness, and justice. Listen to those in the world and they don’t even know what truth is, they will claim that good is evil and evil is good. They need the light from the word and from the Spirit. But that is only one aspect of the light, we also shine a light on education. We are commanded to teach our children. Education is the key to the Civil rights movement. Pharaoh and the elites lord it over the rest of people because of their education. The Lord said you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. But we are also a light for making peace. Wars are costly, destructive, and evil. Showing people the way of the cross to make peace and to live in harmony with one another, that is a bright light. No one knows this light except for the Lord Jesus and those that take up their cross and follow Him. If you leave the criminal justice system to the world it will become abusive and biased. If you leave the education system to the world it will become abusive and a way to keep people enslaved. If you leave national defense to the world they will destroy themselves and the world. This light also shines on the banking system. The world’s monetary policy is built on the worship of idols, it is vanity, and it is evil. They have a system whereby they can rob widows houses and then make long complicated prayers that few understand to befuddle and confuse the masses. This is a golden lampstand, it isn’t made of vanity and wisps of smoke, it is real, it is substantial, it is made of the word of God and the light will expose the crooks. We are also a light to the bureaucratic system of government, all those functions carried out by the non elected officials. The church carries out all those functions as well, but has to do it on a shoestring budget. The ministry leaders are not insulated by layers and layers of bureaucracy from those they are serving. They get their hands dirty, they serve the soup, they visit the sick. We have much more light and insight than some government official making two hundred thousand a year working in an ivory tower. We are also a light to the mainstream media and the movie industry. Every major literary theme is found in the Bible. We are filled with amazing, captivating stories that edify and uplift. We are also trained in speaking the truth in love. We are also a light to families. The Lord has ordained that the elders of the church be a positive example for fathers and mothers. The church is to be a giant family so that broken families can enter the fellowship and be healed. At the most fundamental level we need healthy families to have a healthy society. The source of most of our ills whether with crime, or education, or public services is to deal with the destruction that accompanies broken families.

In Zechariah's dreams he already saw the first rapture, the escape by those who came out of Babylon. But after that rapture the rest of the believers will wake up and see this Golden lampstand. It will be a tremendous revival. The antichrist will bring in his kingdom by power and might, the Lord will bring His in by His Spirit.

We need a vision, what we are doing in the church is creating a godly government that will both build the society and rule. We are not occupying some independent space from the government. Only a fool would think that unbelievers, people without faith or the knowledge of God’s word, people ruled by the lusts of the flesh, could do a better job, much less even a good job of ruling and reigning. Make no mistake, the church will replace human government. However, it is not by might nor by power. We don’t take over with a military as they tried during the Crusades. We don’t take over with political lobbies and pushing our platform and backing our candidates. It is by the Spirit. It is by the preaching of the gospel, sharing our testimony, bringing people to the Lord and winning souls for the Lord. When people give their hearts to the Lord then the mind and body will follow.

The church is supported with two ministries, the building ministry and the ruling ministry. These ministries simply sink their roots into the word of God and produce pure oil for life and light. Remember the key question “when is the Lord coming?” to which the Lord answers “When will you be ready?”

But the time appointed was long

they shall speak lies but it shall not prosper

Daniel 11:27 And both of these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

at the time appointed he shall return

Daniel 11:29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.

Daniel 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

The Lord is same yesterday, today and forever. What is the "time appointed" for Christians?

A Holy Decree and Official Announcement of the Locusts and Earthquake to Come from the Angel Gabriel

I watched a brother share a very strange testimony that he had and the only explanation he had was that it must have been an angel. I also had a very strange experience that I cannot explain, the only thing that makes sense to me is an angel.

I had to catch a flight in the Dallas/Ft. Worth DFW airport. I left Odessa Tx around midnight and needed to drive through the night. I figured I'd get to the airport early enough to eat breakfast before the plane takes off. About 6 am I doze off and I wake up as the car goes off the highway, I jerk the wheel and slam on the brakes and the car goes into a skid and twirls around so I am now going backwards down the highway at 65 mph. All of a sudden the car flies off the road to the right and goes about 200 feet through the grass. The car never flips over but most cars would have certainly rolled over and over. The car comes to a stop right next to the access road and it appears I had simply pulled off the road. However, the car won't run. In West Texas you can be 20-30 miles from the nearest gas station. I was sure that was it for me, I was going to miss my flight. But it just so happened that right there you had an overpass where you could walk over the top of the highway and on the other side there was a 24 hour mechanic. I go over there the guy gets his tow truck drives over to where my car is, tows it back to his shop and even though he had another guy with a Cadillac who wanted work done he treated my car with great respect and worked on my car first. I went and ate breakfast at this diner that was there and then came back and the car was fixed! I couldn't believe it. Now get this, he charged me $5?! That did not make any sense to me but he wouldn't take anymore money.

Now get this, that car was ten years old, I had bought it from a brother who needed to sell it so he could buy a new car for his family. Another brother needed some brick work done which I could do and so he painted my car in exchange for the brick work, and a third brother got sick with Amoeba dysentery and so I hired him to reupholster the car and paid him up front since he needed the money and was too sick to work for awhile.

When I think of that story the only thing that can make sense of it is an angel. I got to the airport on time. I would also add that in those days I couldn't have afforded a real bill from a mechanic.

Their wickedness is come up before me

1 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

This is why you and I should take prophecy very seriously. God intended to destroy that great and wicked city of Nineveh, but because He is righteous and desires all men to be saved He first sent Jonah to cry against it. Some may repent, some may confess, some may turn to the lord and away from unrighteousness. People look at a prophecy that judgement is determined against this place and want to sit back and wait to see if it happens and then they will know if the prophet is really speaking from God. That is foolishness. What you should do is examine your heart, is this cry against the wickedness true, or is this just "teenage angst" or some other expression of an unstable mind?

At some point you are going to die and meet God, to not think that is totally and completely foolish. It doesn't matter if it is this year, ten years from now, or when you are 90.

Now as you examine yourself you may feel how imminent is that judgment. In the New Testament the apostles said that "it was the last days". To God a thousand years is as one day, so it can be interpreted to mean that we only had two or three thousand years left. In Hosea it says after two days God will raise us up. So from that you can interpret that they meant the last two thousand years. The story of man tells of a six day period to make man and we are now at the very end of the sixth thousandth year of man's history that began with Adam.

I say this because this word that came to Jonah, it also came to us. It is the New Testament. In the New Testament we have judgement declared against this evil age, and against the ruler of this world. It has taken two thousand years for this message to be sent around the world to all people. I don't know that much about Nineveh, but I do know about Washington DC, and NYC, and some of the very wicked cities we have today.

When the Lord says repent or else, He means repent or else.

3:1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

Let's review, God told him to go to Nineveh, he ran away, the tempest in the sea would have sunk the boat had they not thrown him overboard, a great fish swallows him, swims to the shore near Nineveh and vomits him up on the dry land and then "the word of the Lord comes to him a second time".

Can anyone seriously still question whether or not this is.a very serious warning from God and that He means every word of it?

Now apply that same reasoning to Jesus ministry, His death and resurrection, and two thousand years of evangelism with a whole lot of martyrs. When the Lord says repent or else, He means repent or else.

The story of Jonah is the story of Jesus' ministry

3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.

4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

Jesus ministry lasted for three years before He came to Jerusalem, and then if you consider the year began at Rosh Hashanah you were halfway into the year when He was crucified, dead, buried and resurrected. Seven weeks later He ascends. Fifty days after that the Spirit is poured out and all the apostles begin to cry out to repent starting on the day of Pentecost. Forty years later Jerusalem is overthrown.

The apostles and the disciples, we are the reluctant prophets. We are the ones who must go through death and resurrection before we will sound the warning of God's coming judgments.

The Day of the Lord

There is a very important concept we all need to understand.

When we look at all the various prophecies like Stan has with prophecy club and we try and put them all together and talk about this is first and then this and then this, we need to understand this concept.

In Geology this is called the "principle of cross cutting relationships" but it definitely applies to Biblical prophecy.

The theory says if I cut a piece of paper with a scissor, and then cut the paper again, cutting through what was previously cut I can determine the relative order of the cuts. Any cut that is cut by another cut must have happened first.

So let's apply this to the prophecies. We can argue that a famine would take place after Noah's flood because at the time they were "eating and drinking". Likewise if Israel is attacked and the US sends armies to defend them, then we can argue that takes place before Armageddon because at Armageddon all the nations fight against Israel.

So we can use common sense to put a number of different prophecies in order of occurrence. The US is the great babylon and she will be destroyed in one hour, that would come after sending troops to Israel but before Armageddon. It would also take place prior to the famine, therefore the famine is after we send troops to help Israel fight.

But here is the second point. We can see things like this and think it will take a decade, or some other reasonable number of years. So now consider a hammer hitting a pane of glass lying on a granite countertop. It smashes and cracks into a thousand pieces with cracks cutting each other. One massive event can cause catastrophic damage in what might look like decades but in reality is one hour.

A massive earthquake that splits the US into three pieces and is the result of a meteor and large tsunami hitting the east coast would be so devastating to the US you would get the collapse of the US dollar and worldwide famine in an instant. Instantly this worldwide Islamic Caliphate working with Russia would become the dominant military power. Europe would immediately be subject to them. One really great earthquake can change everything in an instant. You can look at all the changes and think it takes ten years but in reality it takes one hour.

The term "the day of the Lord" refers to a seven year period of judgment, but perhaps it also refers to one really "great and awesome day" that propels us into this seven year period. Imagine that at the same "day" as this earthquake we also have the rapture! This would not just impact one world government and geopolitical alignment, it would also cause the antichrist to be revealed, the chaos could create a desperate need for the mark of the beast to bring order and stability and to justify draconian measures. The rapture will hit this world like that hammer hitting the pane of glass.
