Tamar

3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar

There are five women "named" (Bathsheba was not named) in the genealogy of Jesus. Tamar is the first woman, Mary is the last. The Lord slew her first two husbands because they were evil. But the way Judah viewed it he thought something must be evil about her, better keep my other son away from her. Now you can't clear your name by telling Judah the evil thing that his son did, that is not going to make him think you are not evil, only that you are slandering a dead person who can't respond. So she was in a very tough spot, she could have curled up and said "God isn't fair". But she didn't. The law said that the near kinsman should go into her and raise up seed, that should be the third son, but it could also be Judah. She took upon herself the fashion of a harlot. Not unlike Jesus coming in the likeness of Man and being found in fashion as a man came as the lowest man, a servant. She despised the shame and she knew this would make many revile her, but they already revile you, what do you have to lose? So she lay with Judah in the likeness of a harlot, and when they were ready to burn her as a harlot she revealed that the. Father was Judah. He doesn't hesitate to acknowledge this. Her child is his son, actually she had twins so he got back the two sons he lost. Not only so but he doesn't have to give his youngest son to her.

She was blessed, and she turned what looked like a curse from God into a blessing simply because she despised the shame and was willing to go outside the camp unto the cross of the Lord.

We need to change our sight, we need eyes to see. If any of us were in Tamar's shoes we would be crying about how unfair life is, how she is being defamed and shunned and it is all the Lord's fault. She would be logical, she would prove her point, no one could persuade her otherwise. But God. Let's look at this through God's eyes, she has a temporary lightness of affliction for an eternal weight of glory. Because she despises the shame and is willing to go outside the camp unto the Lord she will have a glorious legacy for all eternity. I am reminded of Ronnie Lott. He mangled a pinky during a football game, it would take a few weeks for the bone to be fixed, but that would mean he would miss the playoffs. So he said, what if I cut the finger off, can I play? He chose to amputate the finger so he could play, they go on to win the superbowl and he goes on to enter the NFL hall of fame. That is the attitude that the Lord is looking for. This is what a burnt offering is. We need the attitude that our life is a burnt offering. You can claim you love the Lord all you want, but it is the ones who have this attitude that prove they love the Lord.

Notice how liars accuse others of the crimes they are committing.

Genesis 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,

14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:

15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.

16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home.

Joy Reid, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Fani Willis, the woman who used to be President of Harvard, one by one they all get caught in unethical and criminal behavior and they accuse others of the very actions they are guilty of as a way to deflect.

I have a question

17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me:

18 And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out.

19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.

Do you think that Potipher every found out it was his wife that was the cheat? I think liars and cheats always get revealed. Suppose a sister loses her job and blames all her coworkers. Maybe it is true. But then she gets another job and again gets fired and again it is everyone else's fault. Now suppose this becomes a pattern every two or three years.

My guess is Potipher did learn that it was his wife that was the cheat.

Now suppose Potipher was still alive when Joseph becomes the Prime minister.

An important word to those questioning these dreams

When Joseph was in prison the Baker and the Butler had dreams. Neither was a believer, but both of the dreams were prophetic. Later Pharaoh has a dream, again, not a believer, but the dream was prophetic. We see Daniel interpreting the King's dream, again, not a believer, yet the dream is prophetic.

Joseph also has a prophetic dream, but that was when he was very young.

My point is do not despise these dreams. We have seen the Lord speaking to many people through dreams, even bringing them to salvation. There is nothing in the Bible to suggest that a dream from an unbeliever or new believer or immature believer is less credible.

There are two very key tests: Do they admit that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He has come in the flesh, shed His blood, and redeemed us with His blood?

Demons and fallen angels believe in God, that is not the test. The test is do they call Jesus Christ Lord and can they speak the gospel of salvation? Fallen angels and demons are not permitted to speak the gospel of grace.

In the above post by Stan he quotes a dream from a person newly saved, but the message is to be urgent and preach the gospel.

The main message is for believers and unbelievers to wake up, turn to Jesus and He will shine on you. I get it that you could be working in downtown manhattan and you wonder, hmmm, do I need to get out of here? This is what I tell my wife who wants to tell all her relatives to move: The most important thing is to be right with Jesus, if you are not right with Him it doesn't matter if you move, there is no salvation apart from Jesus. If you are right with Jesus He can protect you even if you are in a city under attack, or if you die you will die being right with Jesus. However, "being right with Jesus" means you do what He says. Don't say you love Him and at the same time disregard His speaking. Being "right with Jesus" means you spend time in prayer and in the word. It means you take this word to Him and pray about it and if He tells you to leave you leave.

Now suppose you are praying to the Lord and you are not sure what He is saying. The key is "life and peace". Are you full of life, bubbling and joyful, with a beautiful calm peace sweeping over you? That is the proof that you are "right with Jesus". When we left NYC we gave away thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff we couldn't take with us. We sold the house as quickly as possible without trying to get "the best price". Yet during the entire time we did that as well as when we were driving away I was full of life, bubbling with joy and with a calm peace sweeping over me like I had just escaped from a war zone.

I don't like these expositions of the signs in the stars. It isn't because it isn't Biblical, I agree there is adequate Biblical basis, nor is it because I don't think that this is a fulfillment of prophecy, I definitely feel some of these signs are a fulfillment of prophecy. No I have two issues with this.

1. They spend hours and hours on this. You can watch a 30 minute video and not know any more than you did after five minutes and then you get a second and third and fourth and fifth video just piling on until you have spent 3-5 hours looking at this with almost nothing more than you had after five minutes.

and

2. No one can tell you what it means. Is this a sign that something will happen this year? If so, what? Or is this a two year warning, three year warning, seven year warning? This is like driving down the road in a foreign country and they are saying "look a sign" but no one can read what the sign says.

That said I like this guy because he gives you the five minute summary, so thank you Aaron.

Do the Math on her prophesies and by Feb 27th it should be a hot time in Sodom.

As for the rapture, I always feel it will be on the Lord's day, so from Feb 28 through Mar 24 (Purim). I don't know about the timing of that.

But April 8th seems to be the start of the 70th week in Daniel. Prior to that there should be the judgment on the Great Babylon, and between the start of the 70th week and the rapture there should be a very respectful time of silence and darkness.

Matthew 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

If you don't have faith even the word that you do have will be taken away from you. If you do have faith the word you have will grow and multiply and you will have abundance of faith.

You want faith to discern? Simply seek for that in the word, pray over it and you will get that. You want wisdom? Just like James said, ask and God will give you liberally. You want to heal? Again, healing is in the word, you simply need to dig into it to get the faith, and then like James said, pray according to that faith. James said "the prayer of a righteous man availeth much", you need to be in right standing with the Lord and so much of the word will adjust your walk.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Effective prayer is prayer that is according to the will of God, aligned with the word of God and that stands on our covenant with God. The word that we translate "effectual fervent" is one greek word which means "to be operative".

For example, I was praying that if it was the Lord's will He could heal my mother (she had a stroke and was paralyzed, couldn't speak and couldn't move half her body). Immediately I was rebuked "when was it ever not the Lord's word to heal?" That word was a confirmation to me that the Lord would heal her and within 24 hours her paralysis was gone.

But that word was operative, it enlightened me to how I had been duped by bad doctrine. The Bible says that if you are sick call for the elders to pray and the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. That puts a lot of pressure on elders, so they teach that "if the Lord wills". But where in James does it indicate "if the Lord wills"?

There are caveats, the elder must be a righteous man. This doesn't mean sinless, it means washed in the blood and of right standing with the Lord. To be right standing is to be pleasing and the Bible says you can't be pleasing if you are faithless. So this implies you are not faithless but believe. You also must pray a prayer that is operative, a prayer that opens the word, enlightens, works in your being. There is a reason that people get sick and it is important to see that. If you see the problems that cause sickness you will also see the cure in the word, in prayer and in the spoken word.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Therefore? I never understood that. But it is very clear, if you have faith then He isn't speaking in parables, He is speaking in words that grow and become more abundant. The reason He is speaking in parables is because you don't have faith.

Matthew 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

So then, why don't they see or hear? It is because their heart is waxed gross. Why is their heart waxed gross and their eyes they have closed? Because they don't want to see, they don't want to be converted, they don't want Jesus to heal them.

Being faithless is a heart condition, and the heart is sick because of sin.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Let me share an experience. I was at the beach, I swam on a swim team in the summer, and I was talking to another kid. I wanted to join the local football team. This kid said I shouldn't join the team in our town, instead I should go to the town next to ours because they had this great coach. I have no idea how he knew, he didn't live in that town and he wasn't on that team. But I listened to him, and went. I imagine he might have told several people this but only I listened.

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

I played on that team for two years. After our first year we were national champions and so we had 70 kids try out the second year. You can only have 40 so 30 would have to be cut. These were rich kids with influential parents, if the coach cuts the wrong kids he would likely lose his job. So instead he has us go to the Bronx for a preseason game to play another football team. Their weight limit was different so these kids were a little bigger. Their main field was made of pebbles and broken glass (small pieces). What the coach did was intentionally put people all over the place to make it completely confused, kids not knowing what to do and basically getting beaten, pushed around and this team was scoring at will while our team seemed incompetent. After about the halfway point he separated out our first string against their first string and we went over to the corner. There we destroyed them, while everyone else floundered on the main field. The next day about 30 kids quit of their own accord saying we were a bunch of losers. (We went undefeated that year and again won the national championship*).

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Football practice is very hard. Tackling drills, learning how to block, these are not things that people like to do. You get banged up, eat dust all summer, and in many ways is easy to just quit. One thing our coach did was videotape our games and then go over the game films. He would point out every mistake, every person out of position, every little error. I remember coming out of one of these sessions, we had won by around 45 points and I turn to the kid next to me and asked "can you remind me who won that game?" He had ripped us for so many mistakes it was hard to believe we had actually won. The amazing thing is ego is what kills many players, they can't stand having their errors played before the whole team. Ego is like thorns and thinking you are a hot shot is like the deceitfulness of riches.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

But those kids who went through all that, they were feared by all the other teams. I had a friend who played for one of those other teams and he told me how their coach would always threaten them that they would "feed them to the lions" (that was our name).

*Obviously Pee Wee football teams are all over the whole country so the term "national champion" is not the same as winning the superbowl. We played one bowl game against the highest rated team. However, they had some complicated way of calculating points which included grade point average, scores in the games and I think they even took account of other factors. When we won the National championship the first year a team out of Dallas Tx felt they were gipped, so we played them the second year. They were definitely the best team we played over our two years. We beat them 12-0. However, it was the only game that entire season where our first string played in the second half. Our first string played the entire game. In all our other games we were pulled out as early as the end of the first quarter.

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

These are two advantages we have, the field belongs to God and the workers are working for Him.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Let me tell you another story about my coach. The second year, our last game of the season we were playing another team that was also undefeated. The winner would be the champion of our division. Prior to this game the coach moved me to middle linebacker and moved the kid who had been middle linebacker for two years straight to defensive end. However, the big play this team had was an end around from a tailback so it was critical that I read that play and call a blitz to counteract it when they were going to run it. All week he was drilling this into me and testing me on this. Then on Wednesday we had just started practice, we were running through a scrimmage when he explodes. He wants to know who I am blocking. I point at the kid I am blocking and he goes ballistic telling us to go home and study our playbooks and to make sure we know what we are doing tomorrow. He cancelled practice right there. In two years we had never seen this happen. The next day this kid comes up to me, he was the son of one of the coaches, and he asks me if I studied and who I was supposed to have been blocking. I said "the guy I was blocking". He turned white and said "we are all gonna die". About five minutes later our coach comes bouncing in very happy. I think that was a test, he wanted to know how I would handle the pressure, would I question myself. Then before the game I was reading our local paper and they were predicting that the other team would win because they had a bigger line than we had. I played guard on offense, I was the only guy on both the offense and defense that didn't have to worry about making weight (Pee Wee has a weight limit). At that time I was about two pounds under the limit. So I am thinking "this guy is saying I'm the weak link because the guy I'm blocking is two pounds heavier?" That put a chip on my shoulder. But I think my coach planted that story. It didn't make any sense on a number of levels, the only thing that made sense was the coach asking the sports writer to do him a favor. My point is no one planted Tares in the field without God the Father allowing it. Nothing happens on this planet that the Triune God does not allow. Growing up next to tares makes us a better warrior, a better soldier of Christ.

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer

Genesis 41:15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. 16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

This is the right attitude. It is not of us. It is Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Genesis 41:25 And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

God can show anyone what He is about to do. We are seeing people who are unbelievers get dreams of Jesus. New believers get dreams of the tribulation and rapture. If you are praying for someone to get saved and come to the Lord, pray that God would show them what He is about to do. God desires all men to be saved, so pray that they get saved.

28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

God will shortly bring it to pass.

Genesis 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

About 40 years ago Ken Peters had a dream about the tribulation, but he didn't share it until around 2000. Dumitri Dutiman also had some dreams and visions. Other people did as well. But you notice the number of dreams and visions have exploded since Pastor Dana Coverstone's dreams in 2020. According to Joseph the fact that there have been so many rapture dreams recently is because God will shortly bring it to pass.

Let Pharaoh do this

33 Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

The reason for the dream was not for people to curl up in a fetal position and die, it was so they could respond properly to save people alive. Think of a prophecy as being the stewardess on the airplane telling you to brace for impact. That is what Dana Coverstone's dreams were saying, "brace for impact".
